They don't have other billion dollar games to support themselves. They need those lootbox sales or else they will go bankrupt. So it's perfectly understandable why they added 500+ (soon to be 600+) event locked items and only 55ish standard lootboxes items. Adding any more standard lootbox items means bankruptcy.

You know, seeing the Null Sector victory poses in Uprising You'd think that maybe we'd be getting some animated victory poses ourselves? It would be pretty nice to see Reaper shadow step in with the rest of the team

It adds personality. I mean TF2's (slightly overated, but underused) competitive mode has the team of guys who won pose, but they like move, breathe, taunt etc.

If the event isn't tomorrow people will riot. Not even just because it means waiting another week but because it means the event will only last 2 weeks which is just too short if they're gonna be doing 6 or MORE a year give us at least 3 weeks to grind

Yes, but every other event had 3 weeks to get the items

^and also had some hype with them. They had comics, datamined bots, AI stuff, and even country wide events (See Year of the Rooster and China) I mean the only thing that this event has going for it is just some jumpsuits from a random photo in a short. The rest is just QoL stuff that we knew was coming already (2 sitting emotes and some laughs)

I'm kinda baffled that we know nothing, some foreign site at least has a single screenshot by now.

Maybe the reason the event is going to be shorter is because the items are going to be permanent but the birthday lootboxes will still contain at least 1 of the new items. V:v:V
