This is why events are not the best ideas to have none stop. You are essentially telling players "Don't play when there isn't an event because it's not worth it. Just wait 2-3 more weeks for the next event"
The day Overwatch dies is the day the event content is locked by the year of the event, not by the event itself.

I don't expect the Rio alt Legendary colors for Zarya, Tracer and Lucio during the Summer Games to come back. But I wouldn't exactly say that'd mean the death of Overwatch. :v:
This thread is literally the only place I've seen people obsess so much over skins -- I haven't met a single person outside of here that only plays during events, or for lootboxes, etc. Like I get it, I agree, Blizzard's event-locking system is extremely stupid, but they're just cosmetics homies.

Some people care a lot about cosmetics, and it's basically what Overwatch's progression system revolves around.
I know for certain that I like my customization.
Other fun Genji fact: the deflection pseudo-shield is literally a box five times as him (visually), and extends infront of him by an entire... Genji-length.

They had to fix [i]that[/i] though, without even questioning why it was possible in the first place (including the biotic field being an actual fucking projectile for one tick, I don't think I've ever seen one actually falling at least).

The best play of the games are the ones where you completely bungle your ultimate to a stray Torbjörn, get two lucky shots and then die. As one of my teammates said afterwards, the golden weapon is what really makes the video :v:

How many games does it take to get out of the low-priority queue? It pretty fucking blatantly exists; I had to leave a game right at the setup and ever since it's just been absolutely [b]fucked[/b]. It only dropped me 35 SR or so but every game after has just been plain [i]fucked[/i], every single one. It's just people aimbotting, raging/leaving from the game start and quad DPS every time.

I hate it when people repeat this. If you play the shit out of a game you get burnt out on it. And if you want the skins you NEED to play the shit out of the game during events. It's not because people don't only care about the skins, it's just that the way the events are set up encourages playing the game in bursts rather than consistently playing it a year round.
