Third game, no one is wanting to play tanks, all DPS, refuse to change so I just left.

i just played 4 games, 3 of them were great, and the last one of them was temple of anubis and i feel like the entire session was shit
it's amazing how terrible maps utterly ruin the experience

Yeah we lost first round instantly and second round no one bothered to switch, I was healing then moved to tank and still nothing. I decided just to remove myself from the game as I was only gonna get saltier.
I lost 50 points though but worth that than playing with those people

Disable the generic one to turn off bad; at least for me it was causing endless craziness with the mouse input. I suspect it might've been broken and causing trouble for far longer, but it only became noticable when the whole thing started to just lock up for several seconds at a time.

Apparently it's actually a virtual mouse created by the Logitech driver for... some mysterious purpose. Either way it doesn't actually fucking work and makes the mouse behave like the cable was wrapped around a set of active sparkplugs.
I've gotten into a cycle where I play Overwatch for a bit, and inevitably get too salty to enjoy it consistently. I miss the days of TF2 tom-foolery where no one took it that seriously.

There are still populated servers of TF2. I went back and played a couple hours after OW pissed me off and had a great time.

Got my ten lootboxes from HoTS. Literally all duplicates with some laugh emotes thrown in there. I didn't even spend any money and I feel ripped off.
Heck the HoTS lootboxes gave me better shit.

The fact that a free to play game is giving me better items and it also gives me the option to re-roll for a few coins says a lot about Overwatch current situation.

After being forced to slog through HOTS for 4 weeks i got a lotta dupes but also the genji unsheathe the blade intro ive wanted for so long and the crackle reaper emote so thats cool

Yeah I know. But it still doesn't make up for the fact that the game is being overfilled with event items when the base game lootboxes get hardly any love at all. Adding 5 emotes and a spray after all this time doesn't cut it.

a good solution would be to add 2-3 skins for every single hero, like SMITE does.
every time you play a match and do better than your average or win, you get some little number (for SMITE it's 'worshipers', since they're deities), and if you get enough of them, you rank up in that hero, and if you get to a certain rank, you get gold/black-and-gold/diamond (or some other set of precious things, like silver/gold/platinum or silver/gold/diamond) skins for that hero.
the skins are just shiny recolors of certain parts of the hero, or their bodies (if it's a hero like bastion or genji).

They won't do that because it encourages maining a hero. Which they have been trying to avoid.
How about something simple like getting at least 2 or more event items instead of one per lootbox? I'm not asking to give us all the content with a few matches but constantly getting only a new icon, spray or voice line from the event can be a bit frustrating. Also, a reminder that people pay a lot of money to get more lootboxes. I find them a bit expensive considering they are just a RNG roll for maybe a new item.
How about just keep a steady stream of new items coming that are not event items so non-event lootboxes are not pointless to open and the sense of progression during non-event times doesn't go away.
