I just played comp with someone who openely bragged about being a smurf account and instalocked Widow. Please don't. I hope nobody here does this.
I stopped playing Mystery Heroes because I tilt to bad in it. It's not really fun when your team only gets all supports and Genjis. When the other team always gets at least 3 tanks, 2 supports, and an assault/defensive hero. "Ok I got Genji. Hope I get someone I can play as next life. *Gets Genji 10 more times in a row and we lose*

There's basically nothing we could do about it, and they had to defend the 2nd point on Hanamura so that was just a really bad experience. It's a fun game mode otherwise since you don't have to worry about getting a shitty team since it's just all RNG, and it makes some heroes somewhat more viable like Pharah or Bastion since you can't pick hard counters.
"Ok I got Genji. Hope I get someone I can play as next life. *Gets Genji 10 more times in a row*
It's worse when enemy has a pro widowmaker who never miss a single shot, and once you manage to kill her, she is still widowmaker
i feel like this would look better for OP since it's sorted by category OR, if they're going to be random, make the rows even, like
It's mostly because in the official OW website, it's labeled like that. Changed the OP by your suggestion.
I know half of you must think that legendary is a cakewalk by now. But I managed to get the achievement for 80% health on hard with randoms. It made me happy.
It's amazing that I still find people that have absolutely no idea what to do in legendary. I was trying to help my friend get the achievement (I had already gonna it and help a few randoms get it), and we kept running into terrible players. And when we finally got inside the place with the OR14s our torb didn't follow us to kill the bastions and stayed at the front door despite me going over the plan before we ever walked inside. We all died because we tried to go get the now overwhelmed torb, who then proceeded to call me a variety of insults telling me that my pl;an sucked and I had no idea what I was talking about. I swear to fucking god some people are just so fucking dense.
Splashbrush did a Lucio. [t]http://orig03.deviantart.net/b308/f/2017/110/f/7/overwatch__lucio_by_splashbrush-db6j7od.jpg[/t]
Pay gates don't do shit to stop smurfs/hackers/etc, OW is a shining example of it. And they shouldn't add gambling addiction support, they should just remove gambling entirely and just sell skins direct.
At the very least it stops smurfs/hackers with a limited disposable income, unlike TF2 where post-F2P Quickplay you were lucky to play a round without one hacker using the free LMAOBox hacks that would spam the chat advertising it and still people wouldn't votekick the fucker. There's more on the line so hacks are less available and have a price tag attached in addition to the cost of the hacks themselves. And yeah ethically it'd be best to get rid of gambling altogether, but from a profit standpoint in game shops don't provide nearly as much income and Blizzard has a ton of employees to fund. For instance, Evolve tried to do an in game shop as the only monetization when it relaunched as F2P and just as the game was improving and gaining players the higher-ups cut support, as it wasn't making enough money. With in game shops you either go full microtransactions and chop off gameplay content (or make it obscenely hard to get that content without paying) which I don't think anyone here wants, or you offer crates to supplement that but make everything retardedly expensive in the shop (or Steam marketplace) like TF2. I can see Blizzard keeping crates but including an in game shop where skins cost like $20 or some other retarded price but its still probably more profitable to do crates alone. I don't know what their operating cost is but I bet they've taken player input, operating cost and alternatives into consideration before doing crates. Honestly I work around 30 hours a week, and in my free time I've managed to save up 3000 coins to buy the Genji skin I wanted, as well as getting various other stuff I wanted through drops. I have never felt compelled to buy crates so I personally like the system because I'm unaffected by it. Even if I miss a good skin, its still just cosmetic, and later on there's probably a better skin that will come out making the one I worked for pointless. Crates work as a monetization tool because they negatively affect the least amount of people while simultaneously offering the most revenue. The only reason I say offer gambling help is so that people who have a habit and understand that it is causing them harm will have resources available so they can modify their behavior. The rich whales who don't care will still fund the game because $100 on crates is nothing to them and they might enjoy that rush feeling from gambling. I don't personally like gambling but some people actually enjoy it.
I just think it's scummy and unmoral using a system that is meant to feed off whales and people with gambling addictions. Can't get the skin you want? Better buy more lootboxes till you get it or get enough coins to get it!
Well to play devil's advocate, is it the liquor stores fault that a drunk died of alcohol poisoning? Idk analogies are shit but ... It isn't Blizzard's fault if people have deep gambling problems. And it isn't up to them to fix them, either. Now I wouldn't mind setting a minimum age required to purchase them, as gambling is illegal to those under 21 I believe, in the U.S. And it most definitely is a form of gambling. Then again, so are those "Grab bag" toy things you buy for children at the dollar store so.. I dunno.
Even if you set a requirement, people will find ways to get past it. The only way to actually help is to go straight to the source of the problem and confront the people with problems and help them.

Try playing capture the flag instead because it relies on the luck of how good your team is instead of the luck of the draw and how good your team is.

I just finished a first round of comp where we barely held last point, and when the round ended, it restarted with us still on defense, but in another map?? Then it shut down because someone dropped and we got no SR.
One of the best things about Titanfall 2 is it has a MTX store, but you just outright buy what you want. There is no randomness, you see a cosmetic you want and you can just buy it for $2-$5. And because of that, all important DLC for that game like new maps, gamemodes, and weapons are free. OW should be this way, or at least not allow you to buy boxes but instead allow you to buy credits to buy what you want. I absolutely despise randomness in microtransactions, and if they need to be in a game to support it for the long term, I will always always always prefer being able to outright buy what you want.
"hmm, their game just crashed, what should we do"
wish ctf wasn't the biggest waste of my time. just want a loot box and we get put against a full 6 stack of grand masters / masters going the full comp meta.
"hmm, their game just crashed, what should we do"
I swear if you just leave Battle.net open it seems like Overwatch updates like 10 times a day. It's super weird.
I think it just hates me, was JUST about to win a game and it does that. Dropped 125 SR and lost master so far inbetween dumb russians and this shit. Oh yeah I actually did win one but somehow got kicked for inactivity when it ended and got 0 SR, bravo. Does overwatch match you with players based on heros you pick? I decided to practice my zenyatta in capture the flag and holy fuck everyone I've played with are the type of people who only pick offensive heros and bitch at everyone else for being garbage. No one plays support ever. I last pick just in case we have a shit team lineup to fill in the cracks and most of the time it's a support hero.

I've been playing Lucio and Zen a lot lately and yeah I've been having awful offensive auto-lock players in my teams too. Meanwhile I'm getting Silver kills as healers.

What can it possibly be that they have to disable her from use. Wth
Yeah thats all I could find, couldn't find any info on what the bug actually was
That's odd. I wonder what's up
Quick, everyone go bastion.
I can't believe D.Va is fucking dead. But I can shed some light. There was a pretty major bug created in the latest patch that allowed you to reset maps in comp, so people were. Pretty sure D.Va is involved in preforming said glitch.
That's first time since release Blizzard are temporarely disabling hero from game, right? And that's really odd...
It's happened. DVa kept touting "nerf this!" knowing full well the devs couldn't stop her. Now she's destroying the game from the inside. She'll re-enable herself when the time is right.
they had to remove her because she was too cute
