fun fact, winston is the same voice as the english dub of Kyon
Yeah, I didn't even recognize it was Crispin Freeman voicing Winston the first time I heard him, but now that I know, I can't unhear it.
As if we didn't have enough proof Mei is the worst character.
She's on a whole new level of "worst". Now a pretty good anime show gonna be associated with an ice satan.

very obviously kamen rider inspired. no super sentai series has scarves, let alone a big maedate on their helmets.
I think you're missing the point. It is not about "sentai don't have scarfes!!!". It's about the term. Sentai is broadly used for squadron with multi colored suits and it is a very popolar term. Blizzard probably used various super heroes refs along with Kamen Rider (who's not part of Sentai) and slapped a suit for Genji.
And what name would you call the skin in japanese then? Masked Rider? Superhero? Grasshopper?
So getting worked up with word Sentai feels pretty silly. It is not wrong since it has no context aside armor reference.
Say what you will about "blegh another tracer skiiiiin", it's actually a p good one.
why is tracer and widows dances the only ones with names every other one is just "dance"

Junkrat, Reinhardt, Mei, Bastion, Hanzo McCree, Mercy, Pharah and Lucio's all have different names.

fyi this was a live stream with the music on random.
The new genji skin is garbage whether you call it a sentai or a kamen rider or whatever you like. Really not a fan of the power rangers/transformers 90s era "we designed this solely to to sell tacky toys to kids" plastic looking character designs like that.
Their team: Highly trained professional navy seals with 3000+ hours game experience
Your team: A collection of old men and hobos plucked off of the street who have never played a video game before
now I remember why I stopped playing

You had a terrible childhood.
need a hero voiced by Dan Green

Wow. Look at this loser.
I started a match and was staring at Robo 76's feet only to find they fully sink into the ground.
Wow, when you're using D.Va's 50's skin she will occasionally say "Hey, daddyo!" instead of 'Hi'.
So I won 1vs1 and I got my loot-box because the other guy called me cheater and left the match. He was Sombra, I was Junkrat spamming grenades and placing traps where the locator was, not to mention being invisible doesn't make you untouchable. PotG and all, too bad that one doesn't show up in the highlights to record it.
Also third box, third icon. Off to a great start!
The event rewards for the anniversary are nearly not worth playing the cancer that is arcade. Almost.
Orisa's new emote has made it unacceptable to use a skin that hides her eyes
I really like how you can see Dorado/Temple of Anubis in the distance on the new arena maps. It's a pretty neat touch.
I love the look of the new Black Forest map but I hate it because I can't see shit because of the grass
I have a hard time picking out where the fuck I'm being shot from normally, now its even harder on this map
Y'know, I miss that Blizz adding some extra recolors of new event skins. They haven't done that since Summer Games. D.Va's Cruiser really should be a hot pink.
So I decided to pick the game up today, and upon throwing myself into quickplay, I was asked to play D.va since we had no tanks.
Somehow I managed to get two five-streaks my very first time playing, one without even having the mech, and didn't die once in either round. I realize I was probably being matched with a bunch of other newbies, but still, I am irrationally proud my first game went that well.

In general, how well does the Team Fortress mindset translate to this game? I was playing D.va like I used to play Heavy, lots of corner peeking and standing in front of my healer, and it seemed to work out fine.
Really though Beekeeper Mei's gun doesn't shoot bees so what's the point of this game?
Also her ice wall and ice block should be made of bees.
Just make her The Pain.

Put The Pain in Overwatch.

Most of the TF2 mindset translates relatively well but you'll need to get used to the fact that the matches aren't 12v12 and so each player's actions has a much greater impact on the game. If you had 1 out of 12 players who aren't doing shit in TF2, its more or less acceptable because there are 11 other players to make up for it. Because Overwatch is 6v6 the effect shittier players have on the game is much more prominent.
Oh you'll also need to learn that Overwatch's maps are garbage. They may look pretty but they have awful design and more often then not you'll only explore 25% of the map in regular gameplay.
I could never be a pro player with my aiming style; spectating me would give anyone motion sickness within seconds.

Generally D.Va is played like a hit and run harasser. Get in behind the enemy and just cause havoc then boost out. But you should be keeping an eye on when you may need to regroup with the team to cover them with your defensive matrix.
My desire to force enemies to appear with the default skins grows with every event.

The event exclusive cosmetics are already pain enough.
I love how one of the "new" voice lines for Reinhardt is actually just an old one. He used to say it during his "Flex" taunt in the Beta.
