[sp]I had my desktop open in the background when first playing this (got spoiled so knew what was going on beforehand) so I half expected the game change my wallpaper to somthing creepy. I also accidentally typoed my name at the start so I did the hard restart thing by deleting firstgame and noticed how the characters all had very convenient files right there...[/sp]
Fun fact [sp]there’s some rare short bonus scenes you can get by deleting the character files early on[/sp] which I guess were made specifically for people like you lol
So, I decided to try something different. [sp]Instead of picking any particular girl, I intentionally veered away from Yuri, Natsuki and Sayori by never picking specific terms or aiming for a particular outcome - except only choosing Monika every time. Sadly, nothing came out of that. But, I'm on the "ending" now, stuck in space/nothingness and I'm choosing NOT to delete Monika's file, just to see what happens.[/sp] It's pretty cool. [sp]She's quiet for a while and then starts making conversation, bringing up topics like questioning the archetypes in the game, telling you about herself.[/sp]
[sp]The people who didnt listen through all of Monika's dialogue in the void are the weak and unenlightened[/sp]
[sp]The people who didnt listen through all of Monika's dialogue in the void are the weak and unenlightened[/sp]
Really curious how many players [sp]read all of her topics[/sp].
Played through this with 5 of my friends, all voice acting a character...........and all drinking. Easily in my top 5 games of 2017.
Dan is really not amused with those Trapsuki memes. [thumb]https://i.redd.it/gywn94tzida01.png[/thumb]
can't blame the guy tbh shit probably gets super annoying
[sp]The people who didnt listen through all of Monika's dialogue in the void are the weak and unenlightened[/sp]
I couldn't do it because you can't speed through dialogue like you normally can, so I just read some of it on the wiki.
Dan is really not amused with those Trapsuki memes. [thumb]https://i.redd.it/gywn94tzida01.png[/thumb]
He didn't confirm or deny it though

That was a response to the question asking for a confirmation tweet. Not actual confirmation.
Soo... "It's not the answer I want, so I'll keep on asking until I get the answer I want" ?
That was a response to the question asking for a confirmation tweet. Not actual confirmation.
If you want to pretend a fictional 2D girl has a penis then by all means go ahead. Dan clearly wants to be left out of it though. He pretty obviously doesn't want to perpetuate the idea that she's a trap, hence him saying he hates the "meme" and doesn't want to try convincing people the character is something it wasn't originally designed to be.
Hold on, im lost. Where did this even come from in the first place? Who ever had any reason to believe natsuki has a penis? seriously
I'm lost too. Because the last time I saw trap talk was about Sayori, which is even dumber.
No idea what the hell this game is supposed to be so I'm going in blind after seeing some of my friends play it
I noticed a lot of it has to do with some shitpost chart someone made of Natuski's proportions being "male".
Hold on, im lost. Where did this even come from in the first place? Who ever had any reason to believe natsuki has a penis? seriously
Because in 2018 any Japanese media that tries to encourage players to pick a favorite girl absolutely needs one girl who's just a boy in a dress.
No idea what the hell this game is supposed to be so I'm going in blind after seeing some of my friends play it
It's a cute fun game.
Don't understand all this talk about "ruining" natsuki, how are you supposed to "ruin" them if they already the WORST CHARACTER basic bitch wouldn't know a good poem if it stabbed her in the gut

This combination works too well [t]https://i.imgur.com/diHwYSp.jpg[/t]
Yuri's creepface is actually so adorable out of context...

This also acts as a subtle nod to the fact that Dan created a program for Love Live (unfamiliar with how it works) and that Parfait Girls is also a nod to Love Live. . . . not that I watch Love Live, I just saw about it in one of the communities.
Consider me weebofied. What a great game. Gonna try going for a not bad ending now, wish me luck!
I'm gonna get serious for a moment and tell y'all about something that has been on my mind for a few days. [sp]I've replayed now a couple times, trying other things out, messing with the game to see what happens, stuff like that. But there's something that keeps standing out to me. Sayori. I don't mean in a puzzling "horror-game" meta sense, I mean in a sense of relatability. I've been going to therapy now for little under a year, and recently I've started seeing a psychiatrist as well. I've been depressed for a very long time, longer than I can remember not being so, and the past few months I've just kind of felt "lost", I've started to put everything in my life into question. While these therapy-sessions have given me the outside perspective looking in, I still haven't been able to place myself and in fact I think it's made me more unsure about pretty much everything. It's a bit like as if I've been building a jenga-tower my whole life and now I've begun taking out the pieces. And then I played this goddamn game. What's given me the most insight into my own feelings and my own emotions hasn't been the 30+ sessions of therapy since March last year - it's been seeing said feelings represented with the highest form of pinpoint accuracy in a peach-haired visual novel anime-grill with a red bow in her hair. Sayori's portrayal of depression hits home in a way no other media has done for me. Books, movies, TV-shows, they all miss the mark in some way. Meanwhile, Sayori over here says or does pretty much anything and I'm sitting here like "Fuck, that's... yeah, that's true. Shit." It's a strange sort of feeling to be able to actually relate to a character in that way. It's on a level I haven't experienced before. Dan Salvato sure as hell did his research.[/sp] [editline]Edit[/editline] [sp]Like, to clarify what I mean a bit, when a character shows emotions or feelings in most other medias it's pretty easy to make relatable. Most people know happyness, anger, sadness, fear etc. But depression is a whole different beast. It's a complex maze of sporadic mindsets that are usually very unique per person and hard to pinpoint. In TV-shows and movies, depressed people tend to be outwardly mopey and archetypal, trope-like portrayals. Depression, proper such, is usually never apparent. I'm pretty sure most of the people I know IRL would never be able to tell, for the same reason the protag in DDLC can't tell Sayori is depressed. Strong fronts and wanting to make other people happy rather than yourself. [/sp]
Consider me weebofied. What a great game. Gonna try going for a not bad ending now, wish me luck!
I doinked it somehow. Followed this guide https://gameplay.tips/guides/1298-doki-doki-literature-club.html Tried the Sayori line, but didnt get any of the things after [sp]I love you[/sp]
