I'm a little disappointed that Natsuki got the short end of the stick. [sp]At first i kinda dislike how little the player's decision mattered on the overall arc, and how little control player had after the mid-point of second arc. But I realised, it is the journey that matters most, the unnerving uncertainty and helplessness. Let's not forget the phrase everyone probably uttered multiple times: "What the fuck?!". The illusion of choice is strong in this one, ultimately everyone thought they made the wrong move.[/sp] Oi! I liked the game and got the completionist ending, now I'm outta here. Play the game!

Doki Doki is my first Visual Novel of this genre. It will also be my last.

After the 3rd act start, use the exactly same file to the folder. This worked for me[/sp]

Just now Kotaku, the well-known videogame site, posted an article about the game Doki Doki Literature Club. A part of me is glad about that because it will inform more people about the game. On the other hand I want to punch the person who made the headline for obvious reasons. PLEASE don't visit Kotaku if you want to enjoy yhe game completely blind. Thank you. Okay midway through the second "playthrough" [sp]I can only play for a few minutes at a time before I get freaked out and close the game. Every few dialogue boxes it seems like it's finding a new way to really mess with me, when things randomly black out or I get a message from god knows where. It's impossible to predict when and what's going to happen that I'm constantly on edge AND ITS DURING A FUCKING VISUAL NOVEL GOD DAMN IT. This happens to everyone, r-right? Yuri is creepin me out man.[/sp]

I'm also REALLY glad I did that because not one minute later Yuri suddenly jumped at me staring intensely with blank eyes.[/sp]

[sp]I find it quite amazing how much the experience can vary from person to person with all the random chance stuff. Like, it kinda freaked me out that a friend of mine didn't get to see the fake Natsuki end in their playthrough. That was something indeed. Or the glitched word breaking everything in one of the poem creation segments. Also, I've checked a list of the aforementioned things that can happen, but there's one I'm not sure of. Did anyone else get that weird zoom-in on someone's eye and out of place blood particle effect at one point? And then it happens again afterwards without the zoom-in, but I think it only happens once and there's like no attention drawn to it? It's oddly unsettling to me how easy that is to miss, and even more so if it's one of those random chance things. Oh and fuck Yuri's stare-downs, those were epic levels of discomfort.[/sp] I don't know what to say, it's a great VN. :v:

Pick your words carefully. And of course there's also the random chance.

I was shitting myself by the time it became a horror game and I got to Yuri's section of the second branch and...yeah. Her staring at me in glorious 1080p with those freaky twitching eyes was pretty unnerving lol[/sp]

Monika's file is an image with random noise in the middle, which I guess you'd have to unscramble somehow. Natsuki's file is a distorted image of woman's face. I wasn't able to figure out Yuri's file yet. This has most likely already been checked and solved by the community, but I find figurning stuff out by yourself more fun and I don't want to look up any guides yet.[/sp]

There's a scene if you delete a specific file on a fresh install, and another scene if you get every girl's CGs before you finish your first playthrough.
