Christ, why is this game so scary? [sp]my heart is actually racing at fucking jpegs of glitchy anime girls, who poisoned me?[/sp]
when I wake up I immediately think of Monika. I think I need help
Of course, Monika is all you need man. [t]https://my.mixtape.moe/makihz.png[/t]
[sp]I just saw some weird mentions about this novel, then peeked at some spoilers on TV Tropes and figured this is the exactly the meta premise of the game I need to check out immediately. Spoilers didn't hurt my experience much because I only got a vague hints at what to expect, but not how it's gonna be exactly. I deeply enjoyed how it fucked with my relations to characters. At first I grew to Sayori the most because of her adventurous nature. Realising all of that was a facade to hide the depression angered me because I felt like she won't even allow to actually do something with it. That's until I read 'GET OUT FROM MY HEAD' poem, which sounded more like a possession, hence maybe not Sayori's fault after all. All glitchy stuff happening after that certainly kept me alerted. I immediately recognize Monika might be behind all of this shit, but I kinda let everything pass by, what if something else just possessed Monika instead of her actually being behind all of this? Corruption seemed to affect everyone after all. With Sayori out, unfortunately, I switched to hanging out with Natsuki, whose head just fell off, well Her telling me about Yuri's nuts and hinting at Monika being behind was relatable. Just realising that whatever "Monika" could drove Sayori to depression angered me more. At this moment I just confirmed that novel did a good job long time ago, because there's not much media today that manages to make me relate to characters. Didn't care about Yuri much, she's not my type, but whatever she did was surely the most nightmare fuel-ish stuff. I think I was creeped out the most when you had to wait a few days staring at her corpse while skipping text, it's just took me awhile that I had to skip it. all of this happening while the game fucking reverts back or intentionally ignores all of this horror bullshit I just felt more angry here I am staring at your bitch face while you tell me how much you love me the only thing I liked about you, is how you exploited the medium. the whole thing was possible only in a 'game' like this but taking away Sayori hnnnnnng the moment she mentioned 'characters' directory - I'm already opening it right away. I remember the poem with cries for help to 'delete her'. I knew what I had to do, but I decided to give Monika a chance. while it was selfish and cuntish thing to do, she still felt like an ok company. gave me an advice on how to focus on work deleted monika I'm tired of this god damn it what are these undertale levels of bullshit I really love when "games" achieve this level of interactivity wait Sayori is now corrupted? damn[/sp]
Hang on, someone who actually likes Sayori? Shocking Still better than those who end up hopelessly trying to go after the tutorial girl
Whenever I close my eyes I can't think of anything else than Yuri. Haven't got a good night's sleep in days. This is the first game I wish had a cute anime shrink girl to help you after you've beaten the game, in an epilogue kind of thing.
If you've beaten it and you want more Monika, check out Monika After Story! spoilers, obviously. Don't click it until you've beaten it (seen the credits)
Did you [sp]accept Yuri's confession[/sp]? :v:
[sp]:([/sp]

This is the first game I wish had a cute anime shrink girl to help you after you've beaten the game, in an epilogue kind of thing.
I know that feeling. The scene early [sp]Sayori's suicide[/sp] had me shook really good, couldn't sleep at all the night I played it. Nothing else in the game was even remotely as unnerving as that, or hit me as hard. I actually felt more sad and touched by Yuri's scenes than scared. [sp]Even the closet scene, which is probably the most outright disturbing thing she does, just made me think of how far she's been pushed by depression and obsession, and how I don't think it would even have been that big a deal to let her keep looking if it made her feel better.[/sp] [sp]I also think the scene where you're looking at her corpse and the weekend passes to be the most poignant and clever scene in the game, especially if you said "yes" to the confession. It seemed to convey the shock of losing a lover (well, if you could call it that) so suddenly and tragically quite well, especially if you don't quite realise what's happened until the following scene[/sp]
A quick question: [sp]I deleted the game, so I wanted to ask if someone can name the character "Libitina" for the shake of experimentation. Curious if something happen.[/sp]
I liked the poems at the beginning. I wasn't really invested in any of the girls, just the poetry club so it was a bit of a sad turn of events.
I wasn't even going for any of the girls on my first playthrough. I just wanted the festival to be a success.
I really do not regret going into the game blind before it blew up in popularity. It really made that much more of an impression when I didn't know what to expect.

How could you not love and support best girl Natsuki?
How could you not love and support best girl Natsuki?
shit [sp]jojo[/sp] natsuki caught me off guard thinking it was [sp]glitched natsuki[/sp], that got a good laugh out of me :v:
How could you not love and support best girl Natsuki?
That and the sayori fidget spinner will never not make me laugh.
It's odd how last week this game had me at an emotional wreck, and made me deeply introspective. Now I'm laughing at shit like the above- what's wrong with me?
How can we be happy when none of the dokis can, though? :s:

I hope Monika keychains don't run out before they enable international shipping
[sp]Monika keychain should have a detatchable head that reveals a USB drive so you can store her and take her everywhere[/sp]
[MAJOR SPOILERS IN THE VIDEO] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnQc6JMTQx0 [sp]The villain was the Piano all along.[/sp]
Heyo shameless self plug incoming Also protip, [sp] just delete "firstrun" to get the game to start from the beginning without having to reinstall.[/sp]
I've seen it posted a couple times in /ddlc/, I'll keep replying to it to give it the attention it deserves. [editline]2nd November 2017[/editline] Also, while you're here, Azumadden Daeiou was an absolute masterpiece and I really enjoyed it. Thank you for keeping moonbase parodies alive.

I think [sp]Monika is my favorite doki. Especially with her "redemption" at the end. Although, I did really dislike her until the end credits. Once I heard her voice and the song she prepared, that changed though. I don't know what about hearing her voice made me instantly go back through my head and really think on her.[/sp]
he also worked on project m for super smash bros brawl and the 20xx tournament edition for melee. dude is a machine
My wife just played this and thought it was pretty cool. She is playing that crippled anime girl visual novel game now, too. Any others ya'll could recommend her?
