Now that you showed me this, I have a question... [sp] When we saw Sayori dead, did she had a chair to hang herself?[/sp] Edit: [sp]no.....she didn't....what?[/sp]
Sooo, can we still post spoilery images here? Because I came across this memetic image...
What do you guys think? I'd say tag spoiler-y images still personally. Agree/Disagree to this post or just post your reasoning I guess.
Much Appreciated, but with all honesty I think whoever reach this long [page 6 in our case] I think he/she willing to spoil him/herself in some way or another. But as I said before, I suggest the others to not read futher and just play the game. [sp]Yes, I mean YOU.[/sp]
A lot of people just jump to the most recent page of a thread without trudging through every single post, especially in long-running threads like those in GGD
The way I see it, this thread and this page are already full of spoilery images anyway.
[sp]I think theres something in the novel where its said that she used to a stool and didn't jump high enough so she died from asphyxiation instead of her neck snapping, and thats why her hands are blooding is because she was clawing at the rope out of survival instincts before she died.[/sp] [editline]24th November 2017[/editline] I personally think spoiler tagging everything is annoying, I can't really see us talking about spoiler free stuff unless its super vague or character art. I mean it's like a [sp]3 hour game[/sp] everything worthwhile to talk about is a spoiler.
[sp]Holy shit this is depressing as fuck. At first I thought when you said just novel that you read a book related with the game and got shocked for a moment. I know already the author made already a small story similar with this game, but they are unrelated. I think the story is IN the game, but only if you convert a file? I think? Finally, something that a Youtuber notice while playing the "normal" part of the game" He notice that Monika had a faint open mouth over her closed mouth.....jesus so many things you need to notice...[/sp]
Okay so I listened to my good ol friend and went in blind - even started playing this together with my younger brother, thought it would be fun. ... I'm very happy I stopped playing with my younger brother. [editline]24th November 2017[/editline] In all seriousness, this was a great experience overall, kinda like Katawa Shoujo [sp] if there was no happy ending and without the meta-mindfuck. Actually the only resemblance is the fucking scar on my brain that's gonna be there for a bit[/sp]
Merry season lads [t]https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/165614256140582913/384067984668491777/tumblr_ozzhhyfwOD1rvzrnqo1_1280.png[/t]
I'm watching someone stream it on YouTube, as soon as they got to the Monika date their Elgato started messing up, muting their mic and buffering the stream :worried:
Hey, I just finished Saya no Uta, and I just wanted to say: fuck you. It's an amazing visual novel. It absolutely blew me away. But I hate you for daring to recommend it so openly and innocently, DDLC is nothing compared to it. That shit is the most fucked up thing I've ever seen. Visually it's already sickening, but the psychological horror is beyond anything I thought could be put in a single fiction. So yeah. I don't regret it, but I hold you responsible for ruining my sleep for the next 2 weeks.
I forgot totally to give you a reply: Suggest me something else in the future so I can tell you "fuck you" as well from joy of happiness and sorrow. Did you started Ever17 as I said?

Did you started Ever17 as I said?
Not yet, but I intend to. I only play one Visual Novel at a time and right now I'm in the middle of playing the Danganronpa series. [editline]28th November 2017[/editline] And sorry, I've got nothing even remotely fucked up in comparison to give you.
You started the first Danganronpa?
Finished it already, I'm nearing the end of 2.
Finished it already, I'm nearing the end of 2.
good man you seem to make ground quick so i'm gonna rec Fate again because if you get through things fast then you shouldn't have a problem make sure you read V3 after danganronpa 2 if possible

DDLC has reached 1 million downloads and the official art include 4 girls for it.
why does it feel so surreal to see the girls outside of their poses or them being happy together
I decided to give this game a go thanks to local Facepuncher KaptonJack. Notice that I've only played one other visual novel in my whole life (Katawa Shoujo) and decided to give this one a chance because (A) it's free and (B) everything about people's reaction on the internet seems to indicate it holds some kind of dark secret or something. I turned my effort towards Yuri (excellent name by the way) and am around the part where the characters are about to go to the festival. At the moment my personal theory on the game's big twist is that [sp]Monika has a not-so-subtle crush on the protagonist, she's aware she's a videogame character and will use this advantage to either remove the other girls out of the picture or downright kill them. Then she'll adress me a la Sans from Undertale or something[/sp]. Am I onto something here?
Alright, the shit definitely hit the fan. So [sp]Monika is basically a deranged, yandere version of Haruhi Suzumiya. Fuck.[/sp] On a pure gameplay perspective I really must ask: [sp]how much of the events of the first run are railroaded in order to kick off the "real" game? It's my understanding that Sayori will end up committing suicide at the end of the first run no matter what, but how about the rest of the things you can actually control? Given that I consistently went after Yuri I experienced her "soft" romance scene. Does this mean that now that the game is "compromised" forever I won't be able to experience Natsuki's or Sayori's due to my choice?[/sp] I just wanted to ask the above. I'll refrain from making any more questions till I finish the game completely [editline]Today[/editline] Ok, all done. Arguably one of the most creative and unortodox videogames I've played this year. I was really suprised. [sp]I kinda felt bad about Monika in the very end, althought I'd like to know HOW THE BITCH GOT MY REAL FUCKING NAME[/sp]
[sp]I'd like to know HOW THE BITCH GOT MY REAL FUCKING NAME[/sp]
[sp]It uses your computer's local username.[/sp]
This is such an old trick in the book, im surprised people fell for it
[sp]I'm watching you, Laptop_Guest_029278[/sp]
This is such an old trick in the book, im surprised people fell for it
That and[sp]checking for OBS and other streaming processes.[/sp] Incredibly easy to do along with[sp]file manipulation[/sp]but yet doesn't get as much use in other psychological games unfortunately.
A recent story game called OneShot does something similar with [sp]file manipulation[/sp] And I played these two back to back so it didn't hit me as hard in DDLC unfortunately but the [sp]OBS detection is legit crazy[/sp] I hope more future games make use of this kind of stuff
[sp]I'm watching you, Laptop_Guest_029278[/sp]
[sp] my steam name is the same as my computer local files one so when it happened I just thought it was reading my steam username, so I wasn't really that spooked :v: [/sp]
Finally decided to give this a go after hearing about it for weeks via high quality rips. [sp]Committing myself to beating it in one unbroken playthrough, even if the ending I would get wouldn't be the true one, ensured that my heart was racing the entire time from the moment Sayori was left hanging (especially as I went with her in Act 1, though somewhat by accident since I chose words that I felt I would write, since I personally just wanted them all to be happy) and Yuri was corrupted, even if knowing things would go meta made me notice some blatant foreshadowing. I had to take frequent two to three minute pauses because of how much I was freaking out, never having been the best with horror, and I slowly came to regret going with Yuri for Act 2, to the point where I had to leave my room out of fright for what was coming next, especially once those goddamn eyes became more and more frequent. And what a shock her death was, especially once I realized that the script had corrupted so much that I had to use the skip option for the one and only time. Yet, despite all the hinting towards what you were supposed to do in Act 3, I was apprehensive about deleting Monika, even if she caused that nightmare of an arc. I was hopeful, for at least half an hour or so, that maybe, just maybe, after all her dialogue, something might change. Yet it didn't. So, I restarted the game a few times to get the dialogue you get from doing that, deleted her, and continued onto Act 4, to find Sayori having gone mad just like Monika, depressingly. After reading up on what I've missed, especially with Natsuki and the True Ending, and how some things in my playthrough which happened were by chance, I was just a tad saddened that, in a sense, there wasn't any happiness to be found in the Literature Club at the end of it all. Sayori, Yuri, and Natsuki all still face their own personal tribulations, and Monica's been removed - things just seem a bit tragic in a way, in spite of the player's help in making the former three at least a little happy, no matter how realistic; and that's not mentioning the tragedy of Monika's position. At first, my kokoro went doki doki in fear, but now my heart aches. Why do I keep letting the Internet make me feel like this? Why can't just hug all four of them? Why does this dark cloud persist?[/sp] Hope no one minds raw thoughts after sitting on them for a couple of hours. Somewhat related, this possibly spoilery Soundclown makes a lot more sense after reaching the relevant point.
Yes, deciding to go with Yuri first was a mistake in the long run, because [sp]during the events of act II not only you are witnessing a person whose personality and actions are slowly but surely being controlled by an outside entity while said person is aware about what's happening to her, but you also have to cope with the fact all of this is happening to your supposed love interest, a person you got to know a lot in the past days. Also the incredible realism (if you pardon me the expression) of Yuri's descent into madness doesn't help matters one bit, not mentioning the immediate aftermath[/sp]
Doki Doki Literature Club has emotionally ruined me. I still can't stop thinking about it, and its been days.

Does this have a walrus character in it? I will try it.
