Ok after roughly 8 hours of gameplay I think I've experienced everything the game has to offer.
Apparently there's a special non-standard "game over" screen which occurs [sp]if you somehow managed to back up your save files before Monika corrupts the game and try to acess them in-game. She'll accuse you of cheating and you'll have to restart the game with a different save file[/sp]. However I couldn't find the way to pull it off.
Writing a serious Steam review for this game wasn't exactly easy, but [URL="http://steamcommunity.com/id/eliamoroes/recommended/698780/"]here we go[/URL]

I've gone to the shop and bought myself a book for learning Japanese. I can't stand not understanding so many wonderful universes in their original, beautiful tongue.
I bought the [URL="https://www.humblebundle.com/games/mangagamer-and-friends-bundle"]latest Humble Bundle[/URL] as soon as I saw it. I can't wait to meet new characters that may help me distract my life away from the thoughts of Yuri.

That's exactly the same reaction I had once I finished Katawa Shoujo.
Only, you know, without the whole thing about learning Japanese and buying more visual novels.
It's still a genre I'm extremely suspicious towards, for better or worse

Apparently, "If my heart had wings" by moenovel is really fucked as far as translations go, so you should be wary of that.
Actually, be wary of all moenovel releases. They're pretty bad.
Manga Gamer releases (Eden*, Higurashi, Princess Evangile & others) are pretty good.

On one hand, dear God, the infection has spread rapidly. There's no hope. It's gone straight to your head, I think you'll be a total weeb for the rest of your life.
On the other, the VN humble bundle has Higurashi on it, which is definitely worth reading. The anime adaption was the closest I've ever seen the medium come to actually scary horror.
Do you guys rate the video dumb just cause it's Game Theory? It's actually pretty interesting.
I think the main reason it was rated dumb is that the video's thumbnail can spoil the nature of the game to people who didn't play it yet, but I think it's too late for that now

Fun fact: my first experience with this game was with [URL="http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/305/974/ea8.png"]this Cuphead fan art [WARNING: SPOILERS FROM THE FIRST ACT OF DDLC][/URL].
This may not look like much, but the picture spoiled to me that [sp]Sayori was going to hang herself and that Monika was somehow the big bad[/sp], which are two things that will utterly [I]shock[/I] first time players.
On top of that, everyone on the Internet claiming VN was not what it seemed made me pick up some dark implications about both Yuri and Monika as early as Act I.
I wonder if going in completely and utterly blind would had made me enjoy the game far more
Having played DDLC completely blind before it became a thing.
I was getting pretty strong red flags in Act 1. The disclaimer when you open the game will already get you reading between the lines pretty quick. Well, it did for me anyway.

Game Theory gets such a huge amount of hate and I ??? seriously don't get it??? I've heard all the arguments against it but having watched a fair amount of GT, none of them seem to... really make any sense...?
I think people see the green star logo and immediately start slamming the "dumb" button because hating Game Theory is "cool" or something. Personally, I thought their DDLC eps were pretty damn good.

Mostly the fact that MatPat's actual job is basically "advising people on how to get the maximum number of clicks", rubbing me the wrong way, the sheer number of uninspired trend hopping videos as a result, and how every single game theory fan I've met is the sort of obnoxious "well ACTUALLY Mario is faster than sonic, didn't you see the Game Theory episode? I'm smart because I watch it" kind of person.
I seem to remember having some more specific reasons but not what they were.

Not really MatPat's fault that the Youtube algorithm is a load of garbage. Nor is the fanbase his responsibility - Large fandoms are, in my experience, almost [I]always[/I] full of absolute cretins. For instance, I greatly enjoy Undertale, the FNAF games, the Dark Souls games, and I like watching the MCU movies. But I tend to do everything short of actual physical assault to avoid the "fandoms" of those properties for that exact reason.
If your issue lies with Youtube's shitty systems forcing people to make clickbait spam videos with stupid faces and arrows all over the thumbnails, and rabid, socially toxic fanboys, then direct your anger at [I]them.[/I] I mean, you certainly have a good point about both those subjects - I've seen some absolutely awful posts in the GT video comments, and I hate all the "trendy" clickbait bs as much as the next man. But none of that is MatPat's fault.
Cut the guy some slack, is what I'm saying. I've been watching his stuff since back when he was a one-man operation using a cheap dollar-store mic and a beginner's guide to video editing, and in that time I can't remember a single instance of him doing anything worthy of the hate he gets.
So I pretty much went blind into this except for the fact that [sp]every fucking recommended video on youtube gave away it was a horror game. So I spent most of the time waiting for the twist, it would have been SO much more enjoyable if I wasn't spoiled. But at least I didn't know what it was exactly so that's ok I guess.[/sp]

I loved watching Floejisan's stream of this game. His reactions are hilarious and the person he streamed this with that voiced the girls was so good that I was convinced that there was a new voice mod for the game when I first tuned in.
