I don't see how multiplayer and freebuild can go together in a Lego game given their extreme fear of dongs
Source?
It's somewhere on their Steam Community discussion page, I remember reading it somewhere on there earlier today
Lego Mars Mission when?
You know, this is running on the same engine as the previous games, I wonder if you could move content over from the others.
Indeed, it is running on the NU2(0)? engine. However, the previous games were NOT backwards compatible in terms of model formats or world formats (leaving me to believe in the current state Worlds is not either). The only things that carried over seemed to be AI scripts, level SCRIPTS, and character SCRIPTS (with added parameters in newer generations). I am hoping they do add support for HGP v1-2 (LSW and LSW:II respectively) and GHG v1-3 (newer games).
Imagine a game like this but with gmod tools, ropes and thrusters and things. Wheels. Build a vehicle brick by brick, designate wheels and a seat, and actually be able to drive it around. Probably too ambitious, but a guy can dream though.
Lego Mars Mission when?
Suddenly I'll be disappointed if there aren't other planets and rocket ships.
was just going to post this. I don't see how multiplayer and freebuild can go together in a Lego game given their extreme fear of dongs
Depends on if they do it like Minecraft, with hostable servers, or like Universe, with company-hosted servers. I doubt they'll do the latter, because of their extreme fear of dongs.
Suddenly I'll be disappointed if there aren't other planets and rocket ships.
lego: spacebuild i would pay for that
Damn I really hope they'll add a lot more bricks in. Right now it's really basic.
Damn I really hope they'll add a lot more bricks in. Right now it's really basic.
I imagine that since we can import models from LDD, eventually all bricks will be supported, and what we have right now is barebones, core functionality.
I imagine that since we can import models from LDD, eventually all bricks will be supported, and what we have right now is barebones, core functionality.
I hope so. I've seen some posts on the steam forums about people who tried to import stuff they did in LDD with non-perpendicular angles and failing. Looks like right now everything is stuck in a minecraft-like grid. I hope that's something they'll change later on.
I hope they add trains :v:
I swear to god the parts of this image are moving and whenever I move my eye to them they stop and it's driving me insane.
Does LDD (Lego Digital Designer) program work with this game? If so, it would be truly amazing
I just saw a puppy husky, get punched into the air by a yeti. This has just turned into a fucking awesome game. This game has a lot of potential. I hope they make it work.
Does LDD (Lego Digital Designer) program work with this game? If so, it would be truly amazing
It does but only allows the basic building blocks that are already available in the game itself. Also no fancy building methods like SNOT or hinges; grid-aligned construction only.
They need Minifigs from here.
It does but only allows the basic building blocks that are already available in the game itself.
was just going to post this. I don't see how multiplayer and freebuild can go together in a Lego game given their extreme fear of dongs
Unless it's limited to a small number of willing folks. Like 2-8ish friends with one hosting p2p
I hope they add trains :v:
my brother and i spent days sending bloody messages to each other on multiplayer. just go to the post office and send these gory "YOURE NEXT" messages back and forth to each other with the paint splatter tool
I was really upset that they didn't use something from Rock Raiders in the place of the drill vehicle.
It does but only allows the basic building blocks that are already available in the game itself. Also no fancy building methods like SNOT or hinges; grid-aligned construction only.
It's been years since I heard that acronym, all the great memories. If the rumors about all sets being available are true though, I'm an extremely happy man as I've got a bunch of old boxes and manuals lying about.
Really hoping they add motors and shit so you can build the robots you could never afford to build in real life.
I can't wait to remake Lego Island
I hope we can get Technic stuff in there.
sweet jesus if we got some gen 1 Bionicle stuff in this I would cum buckets
I can't wait to remake Lego Island
Not like there was much to Lego Island. I watched a playthrough of it a while back and it was so much emptier than I remember it being. Though I'm assuming you're talking about the first one.
Lego Island would be a good and straight forward project. Especially if you prebuild the buildings in LDD and import them. Then it's just geography.
sweet jesus if we got some gen 1 Bionicle stuff in this I would cum buckets
Let's not get too optimistic about this though, I can see trains been added into the game in the future. But Lego parts from other sets that aren't 100% compactable with each other?(Bionicles, Technic) It's like hoping for Lego to add Duplo blocks into the game.
Lego Mars Mission when?
I'm not sure if it was this set [thumb]http://www.brickshow.tv/images/sets/lego/7690-1.jpg[/thumb] But I remember a space one with these same figures and the tube things you could send them through. I remember DREAMING I could own that space station set. I would look over the pictures in the lego catalog over and over again. Holy shit I forgot how badly I wanted that. I'm pretty sure it was a few years before 2007 though.
