Why don't they flip a P90 then, I like those.
I won't mind as long as they make sure it's not insanely accurate during autofire
I only had to ramp down the game settings all the way but I finally got it to be somewhat playable! Still gets laggy in big cities though.
I won't mind as long as they make sure it's not insanely accurate during autofire
Isn't the Kriss Vector insanely accurate thanks to it's unique chamber absorbing most of the recoil? in PUBG it's practically a melee weapon. :s: I'm sure they can add a P90 and take some.. artistic liberties with its spread.
I wa-NEED a P90 and AUG
https://plays.tv/video/59a86c5a724a17442f/vector-best-gun The vector is fucking great in cqc
I'd hope it's good at CQC, considering it performs like trash everywhere else. And even then, the uzi outclasses it in all respects while needing less attachments to boot. The UMP and Uzi already cover all situations better than the vector. It requires itself to be fully decked out before its anywhere close to useful while the ump and uzi perform just fine stock and only get better the more stuff you put on them.
The "asset flipping" thing does make some sense really. Get some assets in, fuck optimisation, get the core gameplay loop down to a T, then fix up the assets. This is how alpha and beta phases should work. The problem is, getting that core gameplay loop sorted and balanced should really be coming to a close now. I'd hope the optimisation patch they keep hinting at for release includes fixing the assets up.
the uzi outclasses it
I wish I could put a red dot on it, I would use it so much more. That iron-sight is fugly and gets in the way.
God, I really hope the double-click ironsights are only temporary solution because holy shit, if that immediately didn't fuck up my habits in literally every other game with ADS or scopes.
Won my second Chicken Dinner in a duo, the pan saved me 3 times from dying fatally, it bounced off 3 mortal shots.
God, I really hope the double-click ironsights are only temporary solution because holy shit, if that immediately didn't fuck up my habits in literally every other game with ADS or scopes.
Double click?
Double click?
To go into full ironsights, you need to press the right click twice in quick succession. Unless it's toggleable in which case I'm jumping off of a cliff.
To go into full ironsights, you need to press the right click twice in quick succession. Unless it's toggleable in which case I'm jumping off of a cliff.
It is a single click toggle. But it took a while for it to behave for me, I used to double click a bit too.
To go into full ironsights, you need to press the right click twice in quick succession. Unless it's toggleable in which case I'm jumping off of a cliff.
It's been single click for me for a while. If you hold the mouse without tapping, it's just a slightly more focused hipfire.
I hope there will be an option for holding for ADS/ironsights rather than toggle, and let us rebind the focused hipfire/3rd person zoom instead.

Sighting options are single click hold for close aim, single click for toggle ADS and and double click hold for hold ADS. It's not said anywhere and I'm pretty sure everyone had to trial and error that one.
They're from the asset store. Heres the AK, all they added was the rail to the dust cover which is what you would never do with a AK74 (which they call a 47)
That actually is an AK47, you can tell by the shape of the magazine indicated it is a 7.62x39mm magazine. [t]https://puu.sh/xuW9W/f59a9bdee2.jpg[/t] Here is an AK74. The AK in PUBG is an AKM, I guess they modified the mesh to make it into an AKM . Also the dust cover rail thing is a common aftermarket accessory.
This will forever be my favourite streamer game.
Also the dust cover rail thing is a common aftermarket accessory.
Why is it so damn hard for people to use the beautiful rail system crafted straight from Stalin's mustache: [t]http://i.imgur.com/49v4cLy.jpg[/t] I mean someone even created a damn stalin-mount to capitalism-tinny conversion rail exclusively for the purpose: [t]http://i.imgur.com/9vLn1Ft.jpg[/t] And yet everyone for some reason thinks it's a good idea to mount sights straight to the piece of pot metal that's constantly getting slapped around by the bolt as well as Ivan's potato fingers every time he racks a round in. (Even without that the dust covers aren't always exactly the most tight fitting of pieces.)
Go play Escape From Tarkov if you care about rail mounting systems. PUBG isn't the kind of game that gives a shit about that sort of thing. Kind of obvious when a single suppressor works on 556, 762, and 12ga barrels.
Basically, 80% of the ingame weapons comes from Ironbelly Studios Inc and I'm fairly sure they hired the guy behind it to keep the style going.
Kind of obvious when a single suppressor works on 556, 762, and 12ga barrels.
That's more a gameplay thing but they actually do use different suppressor models for the different types of rounds. So they do kinda pay attention to some detail (or its more likely was already in the asset pack and they just used it :v:... ) Its a pet peeve to me, seeing an AK design using a dust cover rail (which is more a commercial market thing), that shit only really flies on Galil and RK rifles (and the RK series in most cases still uses a side mount). [editline]9th September 2017[/editline] Hell theres other things that bug me like when mounting a red dot or holo to the scar, its all the way at the back which is impossible to actually use, and then with the M16 if you put a x8 or x15 on it, its waaaaayyyy out at the front, again making it impossible to use effectively. :v:
Kind of hard to justify this when they still have so many problem areas/inconsistencies related to asset flips, though. For example, the player models have individually modeled eyes and mouths, and are theorized to be rigged for speech. It's only a handful of extra tris and textures, but it adds up. The big deal though, is the inconsistency in vegitation. A video (and comment posts) are worth a thousand words... The tree LOD problems and polycount inconsistencies are very typical asset flip behavior.
fuck me, you'd think they'd have enough money to hire some artists by now. i mean realistically theres no reason why i should be mad about them using assets that they can use legally, considering everything looks cohesive, however when the game is running tournaments with major prize pools (and i havent checked the amount of people who own the game already) it just doesnt feel right for them to be using assets not made specifically for the game. theoretically i should be able to go on greenlight and find tons of asset flips that use the same models and that just doesn't sit right with me.
I'm pretty sure that all the art assets are just placeholders so they could get it out the door faster and start raking in the big twitchbux. Whether they're actually gonna make their own at some point is another matter entirely.
Does it really matter if they make their own assets or just buy them off an asset store?
