This is pretty much every solo game ever for me. The beginning 5 minutes and top 20 are fun, but I usually just find a nice cozy bathtub in the middle of the first circle to lie down in after I loot and alt tab because the mid-game is so monotonous.

I had a game earlier today where after I dropped and loaded up, I took off in a buggy for a more central location in the zone, so I found a house and camped for a while. Funny thing was though, the house I went in was those 2 story houses with the 90 degree stairs. So I'm looting the bottom floor when I hear foot steps.
"HOWDY NEIGHBOR." I say greeting the foot steps, which stop, then double back where I heard them come from before, which I believe was the upstairs bathroom. Some time passes and I'm just bullshitting.
"So, hows your day?" to silence.
"Yeah I can understand. So anyway looks like you got the top floor and I got the bottom roomie."
Wait some more and the circle constricts away from the house we're in and I just start venting my anxieties.
"Shit, I wanna go get my buggy but I feel like you're gonna throw rocks at me neighbor." to more fucking silence, I'm just hoping behind that silence was someone laughing at how absurd I was. So, a plane flies over the house and I think I can use the sound to get up and maybe finish the guy. WELL, turns out the entire time he was training his crosshairs on the bottom the the stairs, I barely peak my head up and he stands up from a crouch and nearly kills me, I double back towards the side door but by the time I opened it he finished me off.
I love this game.
He probably had voices muted in the game sadly, bugger.
I would love to see a night setting in this game. I know it would slow the pace of the game significantly, but the intensity of night firefights would be incredible. Maybe disable flash hider drops and make it really dark, so everywhere you look you can see these flashes of firefights all around you. I don't know, I have odd taste but I'm just imagining some solo night games and it feels terrifyingly awesome to imagine.

No I could tell he didn't, because when I started talking he was motioning toward going down the stairs but I spooked him by letting him know I knew he was there :v:
I also had a moment after I got killed by some cheeky fucker who used grenades as a distraction, he threw them at one side of this building I was around to lure me to the other side, having me thinking he was on the opposite side. When he came up to loot my things, I gave it a few seconds then calmly asked him if he was the one throwing grenades, he literally jumps and does a 360, looks a few different ways then goes back to looting.
I really need to record when I play.
I just won a game but "exit to lobby" still makes my game crash and it didn't count. FML lmfao

It ain't that easy, I've spent ages fiddling with voice sensitivity and often times it's impossible to find that sweet spot where everything you say gets picked up but random background noise doesn't set it off either. PTT just works.

In that case the blame is more on the hardware, combination of too sensitive mic and soundcard/chip not filtering noise enough.

I'm glad rain is in the game, it lets you be so aggressive when no one can hear you which is a nice change for the usual Chad in the next building hearing me shuffle on the floor.

Honestly I don't see how potentially annoying everyone else with random noises is somehow "soooo much better" than pushing a button on your mouse when you talk. I can't tell you how many times people have set up their VA levels to be "all right" and then suddenly someone yells in the background or they drop something and everyone on the server gets pissed off at them.

Honestly using push to talk is just common courtesy. If somebody doesn't use it when their mic picks up tons of noise or they're constantly vomiting or whatever I think they're just a bit of a rude cunt, unless there's a good reason why they can't.

The worst thing about voice activation is when people use speakers in the direction of the microphone, echoing other people talking including yourself. I don't want to hear my terrible voice.
A friend of mine has a setup where he uses his speakers for game audio and headset for voice. It mostly works.
Managed to get another chicken dinner right after the first one with 6 kills. If I lost that one tho and ended up second I'd probably scream tho because just I got the sights on the last guy my gun got kicked up as it happens when you are too close to an object and I emptied almost an entire mag into an air.
Jesus FUCK, they need to fix that real soon.
