You probably got fucked by lag then, A single shot kills through level 3 armour, only limb hits are at all survivable, but even then you go down with the second hit.

I hit one guy twice into the chest because I got a habit from csgo where awp usually kills in one chest hit. I'm also sure the guy didn't have any lvl3 stuff but even then my friend said he hit him once too sooooo. I don't even know, but at least I have killed one other guy with it so it's not a total waste.
This new desert map is going to be so refreshing. The current island map looks terrible and Im so happy that well get something new to play on.

The test servers ran the new optimisation patch and apparently it did wonders so here goes hoping for at leat 25fps :v:

To be fair that patch did run pretty well until it hit a city, but I think that was more down to settings not doing jackshit in that build, everyone was forced to run at the same settings with only AA being changeable.
game runs stable above 60 on ultra settings on the test server pretty much everywhere in the game, i hope this keeps up
I'll believe it when I see it.
On the test client my max fps was a little bit higher than normal but the most noticable thing was not getting shitty fps drops all the time like I do in the normal client.

I already have the items that I genuinely want (flannel shirt) so I don't care but yeah, it sucks when you think "Oh, I wonder how this looks with this" and just realise you're never going to find out.
Mind you, I bought all the items I wanted by selling the dumb gamescon crates. The most rare item I unlocked was the fucking gas mask.

The new clothes does look a bit noisy tho compared to most of the clothes we had until now tho. Padded jackets, some t-shirts, jeans and cargopants vs. some weird hooded leather jackets, fashion hats and whatnot.

From what I've seen around, most awards of any kind are complete joke because it comes down to most popular within certain category so it's essentially about confirming mainstream bias.

Popularity is generally how award ceremonies work, yes. Good observation.
It's very hard to be able to say "objectively this thing has the best audio" or whatever, that's why we have the nominees. Things that people agree are a cut above so it just becomes a case of which one do people like the most.
The game winning those awards isn't a problem, even if it is an early access title with a whole host of issues. If anything the fact a game this unfinished can win awards is more a damming of the rest of the industry. Multi-million dollar budgets, ad campaigns and companies with enough staff to rival a small country lost to some buggy mess of a shooter made by a developer that doesn't even have history in the genre. Embarrassing if anything.

With the new physics PUBG is a better NFS than NFS: Payback, spent whole matches just driving and doing backflips, it was fun.
