i don't know why they released the foggy weather in it's state, its fucking trash no one likes it.
i'd be all for them removing erangle and redoing it from the ground up because for the next 3 months or so it's going to be dead as fuck.
I like Erangel better.

I prefer Mirage by a lot but Erangel seems to have better loot in general.
Also fuck the fog. I thought it was kinda cool at first but then everyone and their mother figured out they can just lay in the grass and become fucking invisible.
I like the new map but I feel like I'd enjoy it more if it had more people? it feels like I rarely see people because there's so many mountains and towns (which I like but is kinda unfortunate)

Such a different way to play. Look, I don't have a problem with sniping in this game, I love doing it myself. But when everyone is forced to just put the scopes down for a minute and play a bit more confrontationally, the entire round tends to be a lot more fun I find. Plus I mean, that atmosphere.
I don't see the hate for the weather effects myself, I kind of get excited when I load into a game with one of them.

Except in the fog [B]I[/B] get shot quite often from white hell, there's no presence of anyone in screenshots and/or recording.
My brightness isn't even up and the game doesn't have a gamma slider.
So either there's a trick I don't know to trivialize fog, or people are editing files to remove it, or it's inconsistent as fuck.
Either way I don't play it anymore, it's not even true fog.
What you're saying is a lovely [I]concept[/I], but it's not equal for everyone as long as 'fog' is some arbitrary PP cloud of jizz that follows you around.
Well I guess I never looked at it that way, if people are experiencing the fog differently or it's in some way inadequate I hadn't noticed. I guess because it's comparatively rare it's harder to pick up on inconsistencies, I've just only ever gotten awesome runs of sneakystealthing and bumping into people due to the low visibility.
Wouldn't surprise me if people are able to edit the effect out, or something similar. Game has a whole lot of issues in that way.

I know this game is terribly optimized and it takes one hell of a rig to get decent FPS apparently. My friend however says he can run this game decently and we have basically the same machine.
I'm running these specs :
i7-4770 CPU @ 3.4 GHz
8GB RAM
Nvidia GTX 770
How do you think I would handle this?
Also, is will there be a steam holiday sale happening soon, that I should wait for?

I [I]really[/I] want night time. Though I couldn't help but feel that by the end of the match I'd be tired of not being able to see anything. So I kinda wish one modifier would be a time cycle. The match begins late afternoon, and by the end of the match night has fallen and the playing field is nearly pitch black. You could also do it the other way around - start at night, and have it be dawn by the end. I think that'd be a really interesting way to mix gameplay up.

I have the same setup but with an r9 390 instead of a 770. If it's any help I get 40-60 on Erangel and 70-90 on the new map on medium settings and with the AA bumped up.
I didn't even notice until now that you can now exchange items you got from lootcrates for BP points. That's nice, I guess.
