[vid]http://horobox.co.uk/u/reag/2017-12-21_13-37-58.webm[/vid] Preview of the new custom games UI, the fps tanks when you open this thing thanks to all those UI elements. Things to note: - Map selection - Vehicles are still max locked to 1x (unless you're a fucking youtuber) - Turn dead into observers (spectators) - Max team is upped to 10, used to be 8.
Holding onto them pioneer crates wasn't as stupid as people said huh? Who's laughing now? [t]https://i.gyazo.com/91549e7dfd1e2217a4694dd568dde40d.png[/t] I've got 9 more..
http://steamcommunity.com/games/578080/announcements/detail/1576688908115082828 Lmao they're not gonna be exclusive limited time items anymore.
They are only talking about the keys, not the crates. You could always buy keys when you had a crate. Still sold all but one of my crates, not gonna risk it. Kinda mad that I didnt sell at ~7€, but still made some easy money.
never had a moment where i've thought that i missed a kill because my enemy was chinese
Oh, I have. I missed many hypothetical kills because my enemy was Chinese (and hacked me to death.) :excited:

Tbh I'm kicking myself for not buying PUBG during the twitch prime promotion, as that would've heavily offset the price of the game for me. I assumed I'd be able to get my stuff sometime down the line but I was wrong
I bought the game not knowing about the twitch loot at all. A friend mentioned it but as it turned out I missed it by just one day.
Someone compiled information from the h3h3 podcast https://www.reddit.com/r/PUBATTLEGROUNDS/comments/7l572s/thread_of_things_brendan_greene_said_in_h3/
Rubberbanding will still be present at release! It's caused by the core engine of the game. It got updated from 4.1.4. to 4.1.6., and they are still trying to figure out what the exact reason is for it constantly occuring. Crashes might happen still, but the game is as stable as it has been during the late test stage and definitely better than a month ago on test servers. Confirmed that the game "is not a sprint, it's a marathon", and that Bluehole wants to keep progressing with it over the next 10 or more years, adding stuff and overally improving the experience. The company doesn't plan any modding possibilities in the near future, due to not wanting to share the engine in case of cheating violations, but will try to make custom games as customizable as possible, to the extent they might not even be battle royale(but for example racing like you've probably seen on youtube already). There is already a measure in place to autoban teamkillers, that Bluehole has been working on for the past few months. So basically, teamkills should be autodetected very soon or already are(though from what I understood you'll still have to report and only people who do that criminally will be banned - maybe that's a measure so that the system doesn't ban friends killing each other just for the bonkers). Game leaving Early Access doesn't mean the game is finished or even in the state it should be for it to be called 'done'. It is just a milestone and basically means that the game now has everything that it needs and that the developpers have planned(replays, killcams, statistics, game working mostly properly) and can do as a standalone game. It will still be developped, everything needs to be polished, but leaving EA means the game is... literally playable. There were 30 people in the team when PU came there for the first time, and around 40 when the game launched into EA. Now the team is at least 3 times as big. Also: lots of people work in mobile dev and finding good devs is difficult so you can't just "throw money at the problem" (which is pretty obvious I think). E-sports is important. It's one of the main points in the vision. And Brendan even fantasised during the stream about having a great arena filled with 30-40 thousand people and with 100 players in the middle just going for it in their first major tournament. Purely cosmetic microtransactions are coming. The systems are being tested and boxes work as a very good way of keeping the income flowing into the game. Which is also pretty obvious to me, as when people already buy the game, it will still need funding for the development. No room for game changing, pay to win skins, items or anything of the kind. No blending/camouflage outfit either. It's an internal rule. If anything, skins make the game harder, because you're more visible! Stream sniping is fantastic(XD!). They haven't banned anyone for honking at stream. They look at the reports and if a sniper is malicious and 'will follow a streamer around just to fuck up their day' - they will get banned, because it's against the rules. And Bluehole has evidence. Besides that, they know it's frustrating, but it's fun. And a part of Twitch. And all you need to do is cover your screen for a couple minutes when you're picking a game. And if at some point you agree to streamsniping, so that you've got 30 people sniping you in a game, don't get suddenly offended by that and expect them to stop just like that. So streamers, get the hang of yourself. (I personally agree - look at Viss, he covers his screen, everyone knows he doesn't want to be sniped, and he isn't.) They want other companies to do their own Battle Royale but put their own style and things into it, not just plainly rip the game off. Ripoffs are not okay and intellectual property should be respected. BR as a genre is not copyrightable in any way. But for example red zone, spawn island or parachuting into a game is more disputable, as those are purely PU's original ideas. No mention of the Epic Games - Bluehole past conflict. The DrDisrespect's problems are entirely his thing and should be left to his privacy. It is real life, not his character. He admitted to doing something bad, he said he won't be streaming for some time - we should leave him the fuck alone for now and let him be. On average, 60% of the playerbase is Chinese. Also... 99% of cheats are coming from China. They have good programmers, who make money off that. You can subscribe to a cheat(for a lot of money sometimes). But also, they caught guys who paid hundreds and thousands of dollars for cheats, but then just got banned and lost all that. So... don't cheat.
Game runs the same if not worse than before. I'm not surprised, but I am dissapointed.
Game runs the same if not worse than before. I'm not surprised, but I am dissapointed.
Really? Because I seem to be running 10-20 frames more than before on average.
I mean, if you played the test server, the "Release" is technically no different.
Do I bother with selling my crates or should I just open them and sell the contents instead?
What a nice view. [thumb]https://i.imgur.com/7Z731P1.jpg[/thumb]
You have to shrink yourself to find the secret level.
the starting lag/rubberbanding every game is really making it hard to want to play
the starting lag/rubberbanding every game is really making it hard to want to play
I haven't played in over a month but decided to since 1.0. Think I'll wait till these rubberbanding issues are fixed first, I can't enjoy it like this.

Now I definitely want my money back what the fuck I can't believe this I'm voting Bluehole the most incompetent devs of the year, where did all the money go
getting some no mans sky release flashbacks on this
Makes me wonder if I can try refunding it now. [editline]22nd December 2017[/editline] Oh wait I forgot I DIDNT PAY FOR THIS GAME I GOT IT THROUGH A GIFT Hmph.
😤 [editline]22nd December 2017[/editline] like no shit I've played over 2 hours, I expected better from this game. Even EA did better! [editline]22nd December 2017[/editline] I'm seriously hoping steam will do something against this, I didn't pay for a game to get worse over time.
They need to implement a split queue pronto, having literally every lobby for every map variation end up starting with 72 people sucks dick.

If they believe that giving the people writing the cheats access to the devkit would improve said cheats, they should hold it back for now. Yeah, it's a bitter pill to swallow, but you should never buy anything in anticipation of what you want it to be in the future.

Also, 8 hours of playtime and you think you know the games problems that well? I don't really think so. Isn't the point of why many of us bitch about early access games that we don't get what we want down the road from them? i bought this game for what it was when I bought it, I'm pretty pleased with it as a result ultimately.
