New map is way too big, can hardly find anyone until ~top <50
New map is way too big, can hardly find anyone until ~top 50
I either find people immediately and gotta blast them with a pan or shotty or don't see a soul until the second to last circle. No middle.
New map is way too big, can hardly find anyone until ~top 50
I might be in the minority, but I'd love me a smaller map packed full of shit rather than a huge map with vast expanses between the areas that have any sort of cover. Would seriously lessen the need for vehicles as well, which offers its own gameplay changes. Might send more people to the outskirts if they're guaranteed the ability to make it to the circle. [editline]a[/editline]
Wrong. Edgy trench coat is the most valuable loot spawn in the game.
I prefer the fingerless gloves to help cover up the disgusting wrist defects you get from holding shotguns. I only play first person, so this is important to me.
By far the worst thing about the new map is that some buildings are closed and inaccessible. That feels like a massive step backwards from the old map
So tell me why we should keep playing this game when stuff like this happens? in a game that has so many players per match cheating NEEDS to be a big priority. This guy killed our entire squad within 2 seconds (we were spread out about 50 meters between us aside from one of our mates sniping who was even further away). It really is ruining the entire experience running into things like this.
Honestly, Miramar's biggest issue is that it's boring. The first ~5 minutes are pretty cool, but there's none of Erangel's tension until it's top 20 alive, and even then you can basically see everyone so the "where the fuck are they" moments don't really happen. I think I win Miramar way more often than Erangel because of it.
The new map is better because I get a better framerate.
This has to be a lie, for me it runs just as bad or maybe even worse like the old map. Remove forced DOF 2018

Remove forced DOF 2018
The new map does straight up run better for almost everyone I've spoken to. Either because the assets are better, or the lack of grass just isn't causing a shitload of alpha work for the GPU. It's not a significant 300FPS boost or anything, it's a slight increase or a more stable frametime. My 970 sure as shit seems to appreciate it.
7 guys 1 small ass circle that didn't move for 2 mins
I really want a small map. Like a 4x4km map or something
I feel like I have a home field advantage playing the Miramar map and actually living in the desert. Joshua Tree's are my friends.
Miramar was originally meant to be like half the size of Erangel iirc, I remember the early sketches being like the majority of the map was a town/city area with a few bits and bobs around the edges. I really dislike the flow of Mirama, it has put me off the game for now until they put in map selection. Erangel isn't without its issues but being forced to play the new map so much has made me realize how much I enjoy playing the old one.

Erangel's loot setup is a problem I have with it, there's not enough places as a whole in the map. You're purposely forced into few select, very dense, marked places and then you're doing walking simulator between large expanses of land. On Miramar this is at least broken up by the massive usage of shanty buildings, little settlements and unmarked towns, there's just so many more places on Miramar and it breaks up that walking simulator feeling. Also the overall design of Erangel is just frustrating, due to it being an island it isn't as large as it could actually be and they don't use the space it has well at all (as previously mentioned), there is also the whole dumb military base island which honestly, it'd be better if it wasn't even an island or just wasn't separated off by the big ass lake going between it. If it was more like the river system spouting off from Georgopol it'd be vastly less annoying. Plus Miramar, its got the better vehicles and weapons (other than the DP, why is this on Erangel only seriously?), also Erangel is an unrefined mess with floating buildings still, Miramar has a vastly more polished finish to it (still suffers from walk in rocks and fucked geometry due to quick terrain generation though).
Made a crossbow headshot for the chicken dinner in squads It was a good feeling
Nah, this has been happening to me since day one and I don't und understand why. I'm guessing it's loading related but who knows at this point.
I think I solved my problem. I had to go to the Nvidia control panel and set Power Management mode to "Prefer Maximum Performance" and threaded optmization to "On"
extremely dense, extremely small full urban map for cqc when?
Either urban or jungle would be my fucking jam.
Urban would be pretty cool, it'd be a completely different spin on the gameplay pretty much. It'd result in the gameplay being mostly close or mid range compared to the sniping fights you get quite often in miramir and erangel.
I just want night time. Or dynamic time, game starts at morning, ends at night, or starts at night ends at dawn, it'd be awesome.
That was two months ago
Oh damn, well this is the first time I am even finding out about this...
Oh damn, well this is the first time I am even finding out about this...
yeah same, I just reverse searched it
Actually, that would make for a good game mode. The guy at the center of the circle is "it", and by killing him you get the circle for yourself.
that fact that something like this may have been possible really can exclaim how fucked up server software could be
I'm curious to know how much is the client doing that it shouldn't be doing
I'm curious to know how much is the client doing that it shouldn't be doing
Lots.

I swear you asked about it before, but did anyone actually come up with a solution to that such as this; https://answers.unrealengine.com/questions/189545/physx-cpu-watermark.html I honestly have no idea why that would even need to be a feature in the driver settings you can so easily turn on.
what did I do wrong?
You picked up a machete. Extended explanation: The animation has to finish where the hitbox is in order to connect, depending on latency the swings will need a little (or a lot) of prediction, as players aren't always where you see them. In this case, that shit times 3.. and upside down. You dropped in La Hacienda, a place that in the first minute of gameplay sees less updates than Minecraft has in the last year. (like 7hz or some shit)
