The desperado crate on the steam market seems to have dropped a lot in value over the course of 10 days? Will it be going up again as crate get more expensive to purchase through the week?
whats with the fucking patches for this game? "changed player spawns in the prematch -> 1.1gb"
servers down for anyone else?
I just wish we could choose what map we want to play on. Even just a 'priority' option so if there is a good pinging map of your choice with slots available, to prefer that over whatever shows up first in the game's internal search. I'm so beyond tired of Miramar and it's all you get a genuine 90% of the time... I have to join, quit, rejoin, quit etc etc until my game eventually crashes, then load it up and go again over and over until I finally get an Erangel round, it's so frustrating.
Also new spawn location setup in the new patch doesn't really make any differences to how the game runs. And besides, who cares how it runs pre-match?! It could sit at 5fps for all I care, just so long as the actual round itself runs normal. They've got some real backwards priorities I swear.

for real i've been fanging for some games on miramar because for the past week i've gotten maybe 15% of my matches on it.
Is it just me, or is Pubg kinda in some strange disposition between casual play and more advanced? Like, it's easy to jump into and do relatively well as a new player, but getting chicken dinners consistently requires more skill.

That's exactly why it's so popular.
whats with the fucking patches for this game? "changed player spawns in the prematch -> 1.1gb"
they had to replace both map files and im sure those are huge

I'd wager that the semi unpredictable nature of the game has something to do with it as well, not every game is the same and that's part of why I enjoy the game

First high kill win last night. Was real surprised I actually won, considering the first 10 minutes I just drove around on the bike doing back flips everywhere.

Got a really nice grenade kill on two dudes.
Hey all, Im posting here in hope someone here had the same issue like me and hopefully found a way to fix it.
Basically, I can hear everyone and talk with everyone via voice chat while waiting i lobby for game to start. But, once we drop from the plane I cannot speak anymore in game, nor I cant hear anyone anymore. I dont really know when it first happend, i guess before 2 weeks now after an update i think? Ive searched for help on offical Pubg forums and quite a bit of people have the same issue and Pubg devs havent stated anything regarding the issue yet.
Ive tried this so far, Ive reinstalled the gamed, Ive verifed game integrity files via steam, Ive tried ctrl+t and ctrl+y, and so far no luck. My mic works great in other apps/games, so mic is not broken. If anyone knows the fix, that would be amazing.
i have this problem sometimes. it happens one game and then it's working fine. if i reconnect it usually fixes it.

Nades are super sick if you actually bother to cook them with R, its so rare I see anyone use them effectively and for the longest time I never got any kills with them just lobbing them randomly but in the last few weeks I have gotten so many kills by counting to 3 then throwing and they explode before people can even react.
Gotten a few doubles exactly like yours where you know that someone is reviving their downed buddy so tossing a grenade in is a free wipe.

Yeah, grenades seem really underused. The addition of cooking them made them extremely useful in certain situations.
So ive been living under a rock and missed the PUBG break out. I want to buy it because I a lot of friends are playing and say good things.
But the reviews for it on steam and else where are god awful. As well as the known Chinese problem is off putting.
I live on the East coast in the US so only question is. Will Chinese players be a problem for me? or am i far enough away that its not an issue on the servers id be on?

I'm pretty sure there are a lot of players with asian sounding names on all servers because they make up the vast majority of the game's playerbase, I don't really know why or what their reasoning is for voluntarily playing with 300+ ping but there just are. There seem to be far less Asians on first person servers as well judging by the names alone.
Steam reviews are not a good depiction of the game right now though.
Ultimately the game is fun, yeah it has issues but its fun. If you are able to accept that the game has some issues here and there and not get overly angry about it then you'll probably enjoy it a lot more than the reviews would suggest.
Im fine with there being issues. I love playing mods like PR,Gmod stuff, and squad, they all have issues. I just want to know if the perception that steam reviews is giving is real or not. That the game is bogged down by eastern players cheating.
Personally I dont care who plays, the question more is, are people exploiting their shitty ping, and cheating. And is it as bad as it said it is
The game got review-bombed like 3 times since its initial release and the current thing with cheaters has people upset again. Though I can't speak for the NA server, I can say that on EU actual cheaters are rare enough to not harm my enjoyment of the game. I still get kills, I still get chicken dinners occasionally. From what I hear, the FPP servers have less cheaters, so if you're worried about that, play on those instead.
It's definitely over-exaggerated.
High pings do affect consistency of the game, but at the end of the day they are as much of a disadvantage as an advantage in a lot of situations. To be honest the game itself can be kinda inconsistent to begin with so it's hard to tell at what point the ping is affecting this. They also said that they are looking into some kind of ping lock system that will restrict people from playing on servers they have awful connections to.
Also yeah there probably is a disproportionate amount of cheaters in total but to be honest in the last 200 or so matches I have only seen a few obvious cheaters. They seem to be banning A LOT of people and taking the issue pretty seriously (They claimed they had a mass banwave of over 100,000 players a few days ago)

This also, haven't seen a single cheater since starting to play FPP across solo, duo and squads but even on TPP encountering cheaters was rare enough that its a little annoying but you just shirk it off, report them and move on to the next game.

It's easy to get to the top 5-10, winning is an entirely different matter.
got into a squad game with my boys, ended up getting into the bunker and getting the only firearms in there and wiping out two rival squads who were only armed with melee weapons.
After clearing it out and heading back topside.. we started hearing an engine coming towards us.
followed by one of my companions screaming like homer simpson, and telling us to RUN THE OTHER WAY RUN RUN RUN RUN

you say that like its an acceptable thing. just changing player spawns shouldn't need to replace the entire map files.
I wish there were mutator like game modes for the game.
Like a wild west mode for example.
only weapons are melee, 1895 revolver, lever action rifle, the double-barrel and pump shotguns, crossbows, and molotov's.
No vehicles spawn.
Only bandages and painkillers for aid.
No care packages.
Only level 1 backpacks.
No helmets.
No vests.
Play area restricted to 3x3KM zone, play area closes in 150% faster.

Custom games, what are they?
Custom games, what are they?
Not sure if sarcasm, but:
Games created by verified accounts available for anyone to join (unless it's locked of course), hosted on the official PUBG servers. Only modifiers can be used, so no unofficial mods etc.
Custom games are usually ran by streamers, communities, etc
i just want to locally host a zoneless match with some friends to test all kinds of things in private

That's not the dev's fault though, this is an Unreal Engine problem. If you make small changes, they are still going to be packed into a large file that needs to be completely replaced. So it's not something that Bluehole can do anything about.
