That's not the dev's fault though, this is an Unreal Engine problem. If you make small changes, they are still going to be packed into a large file that needs to be completely replaced. So it's not something that Bluehole can do anything about.
while that is true there are other ways to place the spawn points other than using a prefab object which means you don't have to update the entire map file.

If you manually place all the spawn points on the map then yeah. If you just have code that places spawn points based on coordinates you give it, you just need to update that one script.
Just won a game where I was really puzzled because I knew where one of the other 3 people was but I had no idea on the last one and based on where I had killed people and where people had been fighting there were only a few possible places he could have been.
After I looped round the whole zone and killed the guy I did know of, the zone was closing and I had no idea where this guy was so I was panicking a bit thinking he was gonna pop up and kill me then lo and behold he runs straight from where I just came from and I mow him down.
Checked the replay and he was laying totally still in the grass a few metres from me for like 2-3 minutes aiming at me, on many occasions he could have instantly killed me if he used an assault rifle but he just lay there tracking me for ages with a KAR trying to get a shot even though I had level 3 helmet and vest :v:

I got a ton of kills by standing on top of the entrance to the caves then shotgunning people as they walked out. (The plane flew directly over it so about 10 people dropped there)
...Then I died after getting out of my car too close to a wall and crushing myself.

That's fair enough, though I seriously doubt that they anticipated that they'd move the spawn points, and I don't blame them for it in all honesty.
im pretty chill i dont complain about getting killed much in pubg but this was bollocks

that was an awful spot to camp. never go in those shacks unless you have to. it's super easy to spot someone hiding it in, you can drive through them and you can also shoot the walls down.

sometimes I like to just randomly drive into them and I've accidentally killed people
tsm viss is the best pubg streamer at the moment for players who want to get better at the game. imo if you wanna be really good at this game you gotta play to practice mechanics and watch the top players to learn the strats. chocotaco is also a really good streamer if you want someone quiet and friendly who also gives out lots of tips. shroud is okay but hes such a salty cunt. viss is great because even with thousands of viewers he will still respond to questions if you @tag him in the chat.
shroud is okay but hes such a salty cunt.
Huh. Care for an example?
I've only seen Shroud 'lose it' once, and it was for 1 sec, he always laughs shit off.
are you kidding me? hes constantly blaming his team when he dies.
[editline]31st January 2018[/editline]
i mean sometimes its their fault.
also game is defaulting to the AS region again lol
Today I learned that letting my friend who has spotty internet (>1s latency spikes every 15 seconds for around 3-4 seconds) drive was a bad idea. The game just does not know how to handle that and our pickup just decided to flip into a barrel roll hard because a single bullet dared exist in the same universe as us.
I'm a terrifying driver (always get you where you need to be though!), but at least I can't spontaneously flip vehicles :v:

I think you mean Summit1g, DoctorCheater and GrimIRageAtEverythingzzzzz.
Shroud's always chill. :v:

does grimzzzzzzzz still stream? now that guy was an actual cunt who i'm pretty sure uses aim lock.

I must be a weirdo because I never got this about any highly competitive game. I just kept up with the meta by browsing reddit and other fan forums and practice myself. I've never really needed to watch someone else play the game to get good.

He does, mans got a schedule to stick too.

yeah that works for some people, but for me watching some high level play to get me psyched for some good games usually leads to good games.

Death Cam and Replay work differently cause they're stupid and can't implement a proper Death Cam without gutting game performance.
Short story is whenever you and your killer desync by ~100ms or more (OHOHOCONVEEENENT CHINANUMBWANN) the Death Cam discards the recording.
Replay isn't held back by these constraints.

Is that actually true? I have never had this nor heard of it despite playing the game a lot in the last few weeks and most certainly being killed by people who are incredibly laggy
Out of curiosity yesterday I shadowplayed both my perspective and a death cam perspective of me being killed while out of line of sight then matched the two down to the frame at the points I took damage on both recordings so I could see where my client showed them shooting versus where I was on my client when I took the damage and counted the frames between the two which worked out to about 500ms give or take of delay.
Probably not the most reliable test but it gives an indication of how bad the delays you face are sometimes. They don't even give us any way to display network info as well which seems like a lack of transparency to me and indicates they don't want people to see this info.

I don't think I'll reach the heights of this in solo ever again :class:
Is that actually true?
Yeah.
The Killcam right now doesnt use the Memory-Streamer DemoNetDriver, as the Game is too Memory-leaking to include it properly right now. So it uses the HTTP-Driver. If the Killer now lags, or has only 1 Second of High ping, the Data is messed up with your 100+Latency, resulting in Teleport-like Movements. If theres lag included in the Killcam, it wont let you see the Killcam in all cases. If the Data is a nearly repairable package, it may work
That's the jist of it, you may get a cam that works but looks horrible, otherwise, it'll lean towards discarding it entirely.
Yeah.

Idk looking up the post that is from and more into it, that sounds like it is completely wrong/doesnt make sense and was typed up by someone who doesn't know what they are talking about.
Comparing some of my replays and death cams they are completely identical in every way, I'm pretty certain the death cam uses the exact same system as the replay (Afaik the null and memory streamers are basically identical only one is being stored in memory for a specified time and the other is written to disk). For some reason something must cause it to think that something is seriously wrong so it's not worth letting people watch some messed up killcam.
Saying it uses the HTTP streamer is wrong because that would imply the death cam is streamed from the server to the client in which case you'd see the perspective of the server in death cams and they'd be totally different from the replay.
Comparing some of my replays and death cams they are completely identical in every way
Mine aren't, there's more lag on the death cam. At the very least it's inconsistent.
Beyond that I wouldn't know, didn't write that - however if there's a trail of crumbs leading to a horrible way of doing things you'll probably find Bluehole at the end of it.

E-SPORTS READY
Well I can finally run the game at it's 144 fps cap
