they did with the latest big update, emulator players would only play with other emulator players. other mobile players can squad up and play with them, but not with other random mobile players.

So, I finally jumped on the bandwagon and bought PUBG.
Played about eight or nine hours, managed to get into the top 10 once (9th place), certainly no chicken dinner.
I have a few complaints though. The first is that slow moving cars are insta-kills. Twice now I've been run down at slow speed. It really should be set up to stagger the player and do a variable amount of damage based on speed. I would probably still include insta-kill at all speeds if you pin someone against a wall.
The second is the look around corners in third person without revealing yourself gimmick. This is probably the most frustrating issue with the game, I'd estimate a third to a half of my deaths are due to it. I'm actually surprised third person is as popular as it is considering. I would play first person all the time if i could but I've had zero luck connecting to any first person servers. I understand there aren't many here in Australia buy leaving the game searching for twenty minutes yields no results.
Thats just how third person is, it's part of the gameplay. Use it to your advantage and learn to play around other players having the same advantage. If you want to play fpp, there's still enough players in oc in squads.
As for vehicles, usually if you are close to a player on foot it means certain death for the occupants of the car.
They added extra graphics settings to mobile, including a higher framerate cap. Game looks better and performs better on my fucking phone.

Lame that the parachute skin isn't buyable with BP like the pan skin.
My friend invited me to play a few games with him. We played 4 or 5 games, I was fucking useless but man this game is way better with a proper squad
First game of squad with randoms today, I get matched with some very aggressive sperg of an adult making fun of what sounded like a 12-14 year old team mate, I told him to knock it off, he.. fucking lost it. Keeps going "I'm gonna fucking kill you" - "Better hope #1's got your back because if he does I'm fucking killing him too!" and more inane screaming and toxicity until I notice he died... then the loudest and funniest scream I've heard in a multiplayer game was emitted from him like every REEEEEE joke I've ever seen or heard, followed by "YOU'RE FUCKING LUCKY MOTHER FUCKER"
Best game. If anyone knows who halflifemonkey is, tell him to seek mental help. He seriously sounded like he has problems
in asia server people who act like babies generally get shot in the face by their own teammates no fucks given, but usually the only people who do that (act like manchilds) are from north america in my experience honestly no offense so we asians generally try to savour the rare experience of an american teammate babyraging over the mic since it's pretty funny to watch/listen to
there are assholes in asia server too but in a different kind of way generally
This last update broke the game for me. FPS drop and near-constant network lag has rendered the game unplayable for me. Sucks.
So I recorded my first gameplay today, and it had to be of joining the worst squad I could imagine and dying to them.
On the other hand, I feel like I gained around 15fps in perfomance and stutters seems to be gone for the most part. This development really makes no sense.
People with low specs get hit harder by the looks of it, at least in my experience.
my game had been running like absolute garbage for a while, @~60fps all low, 720p with an i7 7700HQ & GTX 1070 until I reinstalled windows 10 and got it running @~100fps at all ultra with high shadow and 60fps at all ultra (weird ass optimization). Today I played again and the fps dropped to ~60fps at high/very low mix. What is wrong with this game? I didn't install anything new after windows.
Do you have the Windows 10 April update? That fucked with my computer so hardcore that a typical start up that would take 5-15 seconds became 2-3 minutes. I had to re-install the last build then I kinda broke Windows update by forcefully in task manager ending the tasks behind Windows Update, now I'm able to play games AND Microsoft isn't update my shit without MY say so.

Dipping down to 40fps when getting into fights is just so frustrating, and doesn't justify me spending time on it.
This is pathetic, its come so far that all my friends play on mobile because it just runs way better. Also it's free.
I keep spraying people up with SCARs and M416s and hitting an ungodly amount of shots on somebody and just barely downing them. I'm talking people with lvl 1 vests. And then, while wearing a lvl 3 vest with a lvl 2 helm, I go up against some idiot prone with an ak half a mile ago (with a fucking HOLO SIGHT) and he 2 shots me. I checked the death cam to see if he was hacking but of course him, me, and our guns are fucking invisible. What the fuck is going on?

maybe its my imagination but did they reduce movement speed at some point? it feels super slow
They reduced the run speed while holding certain guns, but if you pull your fists out the speed is the same.
Also with pistols etc, same run speed as melee and using fists.

I tried playing this game on a Saturday afternoon.
Duos, FPP, Erangel as my matchmaking settings.
It took over six minutes for the game to start the match with less than 60 players.
Before the first circle even made it onto the map, there were around 33 players alive.
Is this game finally dead?
There are about 1.3 million people playing it right now. So I'd say it isn't really dead.

Seems like everyone either got tired of the genre or moved to Fortnite.
I mean, that isnt the case, because I live in NA and can get into a game instantly searching even desert map, in first or third person, at 3 am
you just got unlucky or something, you can go into the pubg reddit discord and there are people looking for na matches every minute with almost 100 full squad rooms, at 3 am
