i5 6600k, I haven't tried OC'ing that however. Part of the problem is I have a 144Hz monitor so I want to try and keep as close to 72 FPS at a minimum as possible, even on the lowest settings this game just can't manage that some times. It's much better than it was when I first picked it up, but it makes playing first person really fucking painful at times.
I have 144Hz as well, but freesync helps that stutter quite a bit. Does yours allow GSync? Alternately, use the VSync in the game. There's not really a performance hit I've found.
I haven't had unreliability until the latest drivers pushed out recently, so I'll just hang at this update. Only thing that irritates me is the update before it, I could adjust my graphics card clock values through MSI Afterburner, now I can't with 17.7.2 which is odd. I do have the latest version of MSI Afterburner too. Edit: This game also is making me consider getting a GPU water cooler if I can put it on my card, the fucking thing can get to 70C/158F when I'm in PUBG.
70C isn't even hot for a GPU lol. GPU's in mining rigs will routinely survive for months/years of 24/7 100% usage at temps higher than that.
70c is like operating temp for an air cooled gpu
Whenever I get cold, I just play a few rounds of PUBG. Room heats up real quick. My GPU doubles as a space heater.
I retired my old space heater gtx590 last fall. My 1070 just isn't the same.

But I never got my hands on one and they're out of production now.

I've always had my graphics cards have problems when they get to that temperature or around it. Most of the games I have barely get the card above 60C save for maybe GTA 5. Plus I think it would be neat if I hooked my GPU to a water cooler because my CPU already has one that works phenomenally. My 590 used to hit 92c when I played bioshock infinite. Still works. :v:
things not to do: hide under that one roof where you have a 1/10 chance to get stuck in [t]https://cloud.plaster.pw/u/17.09.04-20.49.34.png[/t]
Yeah. Instead of it being a convenient hiding spot it's more like a bullet funnel.
Yeah. Instead of it being a convenient hiding spot it's more like a bullet funnel.
I was hoping nobody would expect to look there
My 590 used to hit 92c when I played bioshock infinite. Still works. :v:
My friend still has his GTX275, It used to hit 97C in DayZ (the Arma 2 alpha mod, not standalone) The PCB is warped but I think it still works.

When you get level 3 everything and all the good healing 3 minutes into the game. Then someone throws a random frag grenade into the one window you were hiding under without any indication i might have been there and the guy said he "had a feeling".
So I was in a pretty intense match a week or so ago, I went into a house and packed a bowl of weed so I could try and calm down, because this game gets me fucking going and I'll be sweating and paranoid, so running from house to house and smoking in between has greatly helped my confidence in the game. Anyway, in this house packing a bowl, I hear someone running towards the door, I whip out the pump shotgun, which he hears and stops just short of going in the door. "Hey friend, heard you cock your shotgun." I hear from outside, as I hear a pin being pulled. "I just wanna be your friend." as he throws a grenade in the house I'm in while him and a friend laugh their asses off, but I ran to the opposite side of the cabin to the other door and didn't get hurt a bit. "Come on man fuck off I just want to smoke this bowl I packed." which is met with laughter from them. I get outside and around an adjacent building by going out the door he was previously at, he goes the way I'm pointing and I nick him with buckshot, he doubles back the other way and I shot him in the head from the other side of the building with a SCAR. Walk over to the corpse, take an unscathed level 2 vest, said "Should have just let me smoke eh?" to absolute silence, so he probably rage quit immediately after dying. :v: Oh, then after leaving that place I got picked off by a sniper in a field V:v:V

So i wanted to share, because i think this is unusual. I log in and have this as my second round today. I'm at my third kill overall, and one first place. I think that must be a rarity. I did it via total cowardice by the way, avoid everything and slink my way into the final spot, then kill the last couple guys as they were done wounding each other.
My 970 gets to like 80°c on most recent games, it's worrying sometimes
Old cards might need service.. Small things like re-applying thermal paste can make a big difference.
Geez, I tried farming AFK people and there's at least like 20 of them per game. Didn't know the AFK problem was that bad :v:
https://www.pcgamesn.com/playerunknowns-battlegrounds/playerunknowns-battlegrounds-afk-idle-clamp-down Well..
How about battling it by making all cosmetics free, giving us colour sliders, paterns and other tools to customize the clothing pieces so we can look how we want without making us spend our time/money on it. There you fucking go, "problem" solved because this is problem devs caused themselves by being fucking greedy shitbags.

That shit ain't free.
Then where do you propose they get the money to keep the game running? That shit ain't free.
Uuuuuuuuuh, iunno, got me there, fam. I thought, maybe, like, from the game sales alone?
Uuuuuuuuuh, iunno, got me there, fam. I thought, maybe, like, from the game sales alone?
Sure, that'll cover the development of the game and will keep their company going, but once the game is out, they still need to keep it running, keep the servers up and keep making more content. Would you rather have them sell post-release content as DLC?

I'm sorry but you're gonna to explain how that makes any goddamn sense at all.

i'm not going to go all out and say "FUCK COSMETICS!!!!" because i think there's an avenue of reasonability for it, but putting a gambling system in your game that isn't even out of early access isn't even in the same country as that avenue of reasonability
