I got an asari sword. I don't like it.
it's my favourite in sp at least
As a vanguard face smasher, I prefer the krogan hammer. The teleport with the sword never seems to work how I would like.
Ok so am I missing something? How the hell do you actually skip the travel cutscenes now? None of the buttons I'm pressing work and I can't find an option for it in the menus
Honestly disappointed with the majority of the remnant weapons. They felt very lacking in the damage department unlike the milky way weapons.
I wanted to enjoy using the PAW assault rifle but it took too much energy to kill someone and I'd then overheat pretty often. At least the overheating is nothing like it was with the collector weapons in ME3 MP.

The augments are pretty sucky too, well the Ricochet and Beam ones are. They make everything seem like just utter shit.
The grenade augments are neat, but useless. The beam augment is just all around bad. The vintage heatsink isn't worth using either.

I put a sticky grenade augment on the paw and it's hilarious but does fuck all damage.
The ricochet augment makes me wonder what the hell they were thinking.
Both because the description doesn't indicate it gives your guns the bullet drop of a squirt gun and because I don't understand why it would work that way in the first place.

They put flubber in the bullets, but that makes it heavy so it falls faster :v:
So what the hell is up with the [sp]Krogan on Elaaden?[/sp] Their idle animations seem broken as fuck. I watched a female Krogan paw at her face like a fucking cat with her elbows clipping into her chest armor, and while I was talking to another she would periodically do a single jumping jack and twist around to face the other way...
Much like in Dragon Age: Inquisition, I stopped caring about crafting altogether and started equipping only the random shit I can find in the world, which seems to be far more practical and less time-consuming.
Also, what's this talk about a sword? Like, you can find and equip a sword in single player?
Because if that's the case I'm rerolling as a vanguard

For the Asari Sword, you'll have to highlight the enemy you want to attack (Aim at them) and then attack as the sword attack will teleport towards the enemy you just highlighted.
Although, it is a bit buggy at times even when doing this as it sometimes will just teleport in a random direction.
I used to use the Krogan Hammer so I can see why you would use it, until I found an Asari sword that is at a higher level and does more damage.

The Asari sword is a Milky way melee weapon, it can be researched and crafted. It can also be found as an ultra rare loot drop.
When you attack, you do a short range biotic teleport towards the enemy and swing.

Same button you use for skipping dialogue (Square on PS4/X on Xbox/Dont know on PC), only lets you skip planet to planet cutscenes. Not cluster to cluster.
I think it's tab on PC
Is anyone else getting random crashes whilst playing multiplayer?
I've not experienced a single crash in singleplayer and only in multiplayer.
The game just freezes and crashes to desktop without any error messages.
It's getting annoying since it almost always happens near the end of a multiplayer match.

I've had that all the time (always on End Match and when opening Item Store), but since 1.05 dropped I haven't crashed once.
Since you crash during gameplay/near end of match though, I'm inclined to believe it's a different reason.

I think they were afraid of making the augments too powerful, so they made them all p shit in turn. Which is dumb, because they're there to have fun with and it's not really fun to use a gun that literally shoots a stream of piss 5 metres in front of you.
Which is a shame because the game already gives you a satisfactory amount of freedom with how the skills and profiles work, but the guns aren't quite there. As I said before, the game absolutely reeks of inconsistency and I blame the lack of a good direction/director on it.

Almost the same thing except it me always losing connection. I'm not touching that shit anymore, keep wasting so much time before "hey fuck you gonna lose connection fucker".

There's a couple different swords. Two Kett ones and an Asari one, not to mention two Angaran ones which I guess are technically more like knives.
One of them, the Kett Carfalon, gives you extra damage resistance on each successful enemy killed with it.

It's not the same button. I found it's tab, but you skip dialogue with spacebar.
I finished my first playthrough of Andromeda a few days ago. Despite its wacky animations at times, tedious planet-hopping side quests, and occassional ridiculous bugs; I found myself enjoying the game the more I played it. I'm intrigued with what has been established in this game and want to see where they can take it from here and what consequences could be had from your actions. Now that their foot is in the door, they can expand the new universe further. If it is following a more classic hero's journey, it would also be interesting to see things become more dire for our heroes.
However, that is only if BioWare vows to never repeat the mistakes in the past. As tall as an order as that seems. The game had some pretty big short-comings which are inexcusable considering their resources; and if that's the precedent they're setting, I'd rather dream than see this series sink any lower.
umm...so im pushing through the story here on my first playthough
who is the real hero here? SAM or ryder? because the former right now seems like one big deus ex machina device thats doing basically everything while the latter is just carrying him from console to console
God damn it I hate fiends
[editline]9th April 2017[/editline]
Entire team went down at the beginning of the first round with an ascendant, I was able to clear the wave solo then the beginning of the next wave I get one shotted by a fiend who snuck up behind me. Entire team procedes to wipe.

What's the point of peer to peer if you get booted to the title screen when the servers take a shit

This has happened to me twice on wave 6 just tonight. Leading top score by a generous margin but manage to get grabbed by a teleporting fiend and instantly killed only to watch the rest of my team generally fail to accomplish anything. On silver no less.
The silver linings of teams like this is seeing how high I can get. The previous best score I've seen was 27k.
One thing irks me in the og Mass Effect.
Why the fuck do they keep referring to the Marines as Soldiers or vice versa? Like the inconsistency irks me and that I know for a fact we don't like being called soldiers.

The general public don't understand the difference between soldiers and Marines.
On that note, it really bugs me that Ashley's uniform was designed to be an "officer uniform", but not only is there no other uniform like it, it looks nothing like a military uniform; or how Kaidan wears ordinary fatigues despite being of equal grade; and how Ashley goes from being a Gunnery Sergeant as a Marine to Lieutenant Commander in the Navy.
I don't know why new Frostbite engine games must task my hardware so damn much I have to turn everything to high save for the textures if I don't want to experience consistent lag spikes everywhere. And even then, I get lags during many scenes transictions. Notice that I can play nearly all new releases on PC on ultra without any problems whatsoever

They did that dumb shit with Ashley 'cos they knew nobody would see it

Marines are soldiers :)
although its more honest to say that Marines are a subset of Soldiers.

Aren't the 'marines' in Mass Effect just the ground soldiers of the Alliance Navy? There's no reason to assume they use the American conventions for military divisions.
Also Ashley doesn't become a Lieutenant Commander until after ME1, so Kaiden actually outranks her for the first game. She calls him "Lt" and "Sir" when she suggests that she should join the Salarian team instead of him.

I'm referring to ME3 where she gets a complete makeover but if Kaidan survives he gets regular fatigues despite both having similar grades.

In that case I completely agree. The uniform looks more like a halloween "Sexy Alliance Officer" uniform than anything official.

Plus, I feel that her free flowing hair goes against her strict military background in an effort to sexualize her. Which is unfortunate because I preferred the bun, personally.

As a Marine, I certainly don't like being compared to a soldier in the Army for numerous reasons. :P
