I fucking hate SAM: it has zero personality and no characteristic whatsoever to make it unique or compelling to the player, is basically a very intrusive plot cupon with roots in a subplot [sp]which isn't resolved by the end of the game[/sp] and, more importantly, can't seem to shut THE FUCK UP every time something slightly out of the ordinary happens to my character (whoever played on Voeld will immediately know what I'm talking about). Before anyone points out that in-universe an A.I can't have much personality to begin with, allow me to remind you of
SAM is a shackled AI, EDI only started developing a personality after Joker unshackled her.
If I remember correctly, You can get a bonus crates for owning Mass Effect 3 or Dragon Age Inquisition. Not sure if you can get a bonus crate for owning Mass Effect 1 and 2. Edit: Yeah, you only get bonus crates for Mass Effect 3 or Dragon Age Inquisition.
Are there any bonuses for owning the trilogy etc. in ME:A? [sp]Asking because I added ME:A to my old account by mistake, which only had Crysis 2.[/sp] Can't find anything about it, but I swear I saw something about an ingame bonus for owning the trilogy and DA:I
You get some packs in multiplayer. That's it.
SAM is a shackled AI, EDI only started developing a personality after Joker unshackled her.
Before that event, EDI still displayed some, shall we say, unique characteristics, such as whenever she attemped a joke or suggested Shepard which name to give Legion quoting the Bible
But the jokes started literally right after EDI was unshackled.
But the jokes started literally right after EDI was unshackled.
Come on now, EDI starts messing up with Joker long before that. The chief example would be the famous "Because like to see you organics on your knees" line
I'm pretty sure that's after she was unshackled
Also SAM tries to joke too, he just has a terrible sense of humour because he was programmed by your dad.
EDI is supposed to be the AI you release on the Moon in ME1.
EDI is supposed to be the AI you release on the Moon in ME1.
Release? I'm fairly sure we killed it when it started displaying [sp]help[/sp] in ASCII before slowly fading away.
i'm not sure if this is fanon or actually in the game but the remnants of hannibal (the moon ai) were combined with REEPAH tech by cerberus and somehow produced an ai that was less than the sum of its murderous parts
Javik is my favorite companion over all 3 games in the trilogy
Javik is my favorite companion over all 3 games in the trilogy
Funny way of spelling Mordin. But really, Javik was great but criminally underutilized. His character writing and "recruit" mission were solid across the board, but the way that literally ANYONE outside of your squad/ship reacted to his existence was ridiculous. One tiny little cutscene that basically amounted to "You're a Prothean? Pls gib advice/comfort" was all we got. Literally the most incredible living thing anyone has ever seen, and we can't even take the guy to see the Council? What a missed opportunity.
You can't hang up a living being JeanLuc. Mass Effect fields don't work that way.
You can't hang up a living being JeanLuc. Mass Effect fields don't work that way.
Bet you Shepard could find a way.
He was promptly dismissed [t]http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/masseffect/images/3/30/Ah_yes_reapers.png/revision/latest?cb=20130616195949[/t]
Also SAM tries to joke too, he just has a terrible sense of humour because he was programmed by your dad.
But there were no fucking Dad jokes, that would've been fine by me. "Two guys walk into a bar, the third one ducks."
[t]http://i.imgur.com/KXr1Y7y.png[/t]
[sp]this is why I made them pay and let Legion upload the code. RIP Tali tho[/sp]
But there were no fucking Dad jokes, that would've been fine by me. "Two guys walk into a bar, the third one ducks."
But Alec Ryder doesn't tell dad jokes, he just has a terrible sense of humour.
[sp]this is why I made them pay and let Legion upload the code. RIP Tali tho[/sp]
You can get both tho.
You can get both tho.
[sp]I didn't like that the Quarians started the war in the first place. Just deserts.[/sp]
[Sp]Genociding the Quarians was the highpoint of my ME3 play through. Watching everyones xeno waifu suicide herself via cliff was the cherry on top[/sp] Kinda sucks you can't do both without an ME2 save though
[sp]I didn't like that the Quarians started the war in the first place. Just deserts.[/sp]
Just Deserts? [t]https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/34/Rub_al_Khali_002.JPG[/t] Or 'Just Desserts'?
Javik's the sort of character who, in a less bloated game would've been main story/cast integrated. Instead we get Meathead.
Eh, he might have been a meathead but I found Vega pretty endearing most of the time. Freddie Prinze Jr's voice acting did a lot to help what is otherwise a pretty standard character archetype. That said, if that character was cut in favor of Javik being crucial to the story, that would have been a worthy sacrifice. Ah well.
I did all those pullups for nothing
I did all those pullups for nothing
Damn that was so anti-climactic. Spent like 20-30 minutes sitting there chugging out clicks just for, "Wow, you beat my best. That's pretty cool Lola. K bye."
I keep forgetting that there's an entire movie about Vega. It's kinda like Mass Effect's Rogue One except anime. :v:
