Mass Effect Megathread: "I'm sorry, my face is tired from dealing with everything."

"I dislike this, so everybody should dislike it" is the kind of logic a toddler uses. While opinions in tastes are as subjective as something can be, and criticism about questionable choices is always welcome, the sheer ammount of vitriol, and basically binary "love/hate" thinking, makes for a pretty poor discussion.

As much as you are right, of course, Mass Effect: Andromeda is by far the only game I've ever played in circa 17 years or so of service as a gamer where I'd say that it's not a matter or "liking or not liking" or just "taste": the game, I feel, is objectively bad. And I hate to use such an adjective myself.
The situation isn't helped by the fact that people who liked the game and I have discussions with often give me reasons in its favors that sound petty to me and I myself tried my hardest to keep on playing, but ultimately "got defeated" and left it to root in my Origin library
That's contradictory, to say you FEEL the game is objectively bad makes absolutely no sense, you don't feel that something is objective, it either is or is not.

... Shit
You're going to have to explain that one to me because I have no idea what you're on about.
I think what he's saying is that he feels the same way about Andromeda as you do about Elianora?
In my opinion, I believe that Mass Effect Andromeda is not a "bad" game by all means.
It was a disapointing game in many aspects without a doubt and could have done better, but that does not necessarily make it a "bad" game.
But there are far worse games that are out there.
Telling other people to dislike a game because you don't like it is just plain stupid.
I ended up buying it. I'm enjoying it so far, the visuals are better than I expected and the first mission was really cinematic. I feel like the longer I play the worse it's getting though, like the first hour of the game is more polished than the rest. I've still got a long way to go. Either way I think £25 is a very fair price for the game. Wouldn't pay £50 for it.

But he said TES posts, if he's referring to The Elder Scrolls I'm not sure I understand what he means, I don't understand what he means anyway, especially when you take into account his post was 20 hours ago yet me recently talking about her was 9 hours ago.
And you have to actually dig into my posts to see what I've posted in The Elder Scroll's thread, since I haven't really said anything negative I believe for a while.
Except that he's not even bothering to say anything good at all because he clearly doesn't like that game, it's not like it's a mixture of good and bad things, it's just bad things like the game is unplayable.

Are you daft? Somebody asked if technical issues were still in place. He answered with a list of technical issues that have not been fixed (optional: on his machine only??? idk). Sorry that a list of technical problems didn't fall in line with your fucking opinions, lol.

He just said issues.
Not technical issues.
Issues could mean anything from poor face animations, to broken quests, to Sara Ryder looking special.
Well it's like he's basically saying, "No, nothing has been fixed, everything is shit." rather than making good and bad points, it's just bad points that could make anyone decide against buying the game, like there isn't a game to play and enjoy.
So, let me get this straight: the developers come up with a plot consisting entirely of [sp]"We are not showing you know, but later" critical elements[/sp] and then decide to cut down any plans for single-player DLCs and making other games for this supposed "new trilogy" also comes under question?
Color me impressed, if anything
Developers are developed by Mac Walters the king of napkin plots, so of course there are
SPECULATIONS FOR EVERYONE
and
IMPLICATIONS OF PORTENTS
meanwhile the publisher saw 50% of projected sales at best and immediately closed the pool.
This was never planned to be a thing beyond this game however, contrary to anyone's hearsay. It was going to have aftermarket content (Quariark, at full "expansion" price) because Mass Effect(c), but anything about sequels and trilogies was 100% conceptual.
This was a trial after the clusterfuck that was three's ending after MP continued to rake in money hand over fist. Needless to say the trial was not a success.
I fear we're not going to see another Mass Effect game for a very long time. It's like Dead Space 3 all over again.

Yay, now we can use literally all our ammo just to kill one standard soldier. I sure love that they're supporting their 'balanced' multiplayer instead of following up on that Quarian Ark tease they used multiple times in the singleplayer.
Ok, so obviously the quarian ark made it if a batarian is there, but still nothing for the single player side I guess.
You'd have to do some fucking crazy bullshit to make me pay for anything else for this game
Well, don't worry they're not even going to try.
So, uh, holy shit.

The same dude also made this:

I feel cheated. I don't like it.

Anthem is looking pretty good
Literal end game spoilers in the trailer. Jesus.
Also, fuck you EA. Give me the Quarian Ark.
That trailer made me remember just how much of a forgettable experience Andromeda really is. Less than half a year later and I can barely retell what happened in it.
But you wouldn't know those were End of game spoilers unless someone told you, or you played the game.
I didn't know there were any in there until you people said it.
Though I still don't know what shots are end game. Only that its in there.
So is the 10-hour trial worth getting? I mean, it's free, but I was wondering if it's a good way to see how the game is like, if 10-hours are enough? I don't think I've ever spent upwards of 10 hours with ME:1 so if anything I might get pretty far in the campaign (I probably won't, since it'd suck to be close to finishing only for the trial to end). Also how does it end? Does it just kick me back to the menu?
It's probably similar to the demo before ME:A released. You'll likely only get to see the first few missions.
ME:A is a pretty good sightseeing game.
