Mass Effect Megathread: "I'm sorry, my face is tired from dealing with everything."

Oh come the fuck on with the 'new engine' shit. DA;I is on Frostbite as well, so clearly there was at least knowledge on how to work the engine, even it it wasn't by people on the same team. It might not be a fantastic game, but DA:I doesn't nearly have as many weird inexcusable bugs as ME:A does
Okay, this is probably the most pathetic attempt at rebalance I've seen yet. Can't help but have a sneaking suspicion the devs only play on Bronze
The longer I played Mass Effect 3's multiplayer, the more it felt like the developers were balancing it for people using the boosters and consumables or rolling for the newer, stronger characters, which naturally meant getting packs. Starting at Bronze in the trial felt a lot rougher with all of the factions bar the Outlaws than any of the factions in ME3MP.

Return to Singleplayer, good.
Wooooow
Ascendant's orb glitched in MP
last enemy now has indestructible bubble around him...
Please for the love of god tell me there's an option I'm too blind to find that removes the [NUM 1] options from next to the dialogue wheel choices, it is SO ugly.
Holy shit agreed, it's fucking horrible.

Figured it out. Go unbind all the options at the bottom of the key bindings.
Figured it out. Go unbind all the options at the bottom of the key bindings.
Doesn't work for me. :(
Figured it out. Go unbind all the options at the bottom of the key bindings.
That didn't do it for me, even binding them to different keys I still get the [Num] thing in dialogue.
[editline]6th April 2017[/editline]
Nevermind, before you unbind them you need to reset all controls to default. Then you can unbind them.

My hero, that worked.

I've had that a couple of times and usually what happens is that the orb is stuck in a position of where the ascendant once was. You need to retrace its path and you'll find its orb just sitting still, after you destroy it the orb will appear around the ascendant again.
This is probably late but I do not care, it's just HILARIOUS:

As a friend of mine put it:
10:13 PM - Günthör: Basically, if you give him a high level sniper rifle, jack it up with one or two rail upgrades, and equip it with explosive ammo, Garrus changes from your reliable sniper buddy into a fucking sub-orbital death cannon.
That basically stays true for every companion in both Mass Effect 2 and 3 who can hold a sniper rifle.
Unlike your character, they have unlimited ammo reserves and aim at a target's weakest point automatically
If you spec him out for assault rifles he becomes a walking attack helicopter
They fixed Peebee's gun.

And cut off the front of it, what the fuck?

This shit looks LEAPS and BOUNDS better than the original scene. She actually bounces around, looks at you angrily, and expresses. There's absolutely no way that this couldn't have made it into the initial release. I'm actually angry that it was fixed so fast. Like, I'm happy the game is getting better. But, Jesus Christ - release it in April and avoid literal weeks of FACES memes.
Its missing a barrel...
It's still better than her shooting herself.
Also changed some of the casual outfits of crew members.

I preferred her old outfit, but whatever, doesn't look too bad

As I noted in the video this isn't because garrus guddest waifu, it's because the Typhoon is bugged and does 100% damage instead of 30% for SNPCs like it's supposed to. You can do this damage with any squadmate that has acess to ARs.
mp balance changes
This does not give me hope that Bastiaan 'gets it' the way Corey and Eric did. This is what happens when you put a mapper and scripter in charge of gameplay.

Doesn't matter, her ass is still nice.

It's blue, Asari colors. :v:
The new update made the game more acceptable to the eye, but I'm strongly opposed to the practice of releasing an half-baked game to the public and then fix it post-launch. To put this into the correct perspective, imagine a call salesman selling you a broken car and then declaring said car need fixing, so he's going to repair it free of charge, but you'll be without it for days. He'd be lynched.
Also, I must say that Andromeda, for being a game which main premise is to encounter alien species unknown to humanity, doesn't have a whole lot of species to begin with, especially given how many species you could meet in the Milky Way in the original trilogy.
Like, alright, there are the Angarans, who are the true native of the Andromeda galaxy. The Kett, however, at the point I'm in the game, are heavily implied [sp]to be a conqueror species from somewhere else, since their MO is about taking the local wildlife and structures and forcefully convert them into their fold[/sp].
And that's it, as far as I know. Only two alien species. Ok.
Maybe it was all a trick to launch the game with the awfulness in order for the real version to look amazing by comparison? :tinfoil:
but you'll be without it for days.
Yeah but we still have the game, it's not like it's unplayable.
A better analogy would be you don't have a radio or any speakers in the car. It sucks, you're just listening to the sounds of the road, but at least you can drive the car.

Because it's one cluster of stars and not a whole galaxy.
Because it's one cluster of stars and not a whole galaxy.
Species in general are still way too few and far between. The game that bangs on about how much exploration it has should at least have more than a handful of species.
Let's not forget that (end spoilers) [sp]The Remnant created the Angara and the Jardaan created the Remnant. Why? My theory: Andromeda was dying, something was going around and killing off the species. Maybe it's some progenitor to the Kett, who knows. Anyway, the Remnant created the Angara long after the other species died out in an attempt to repopulate Andromeda.[/sp]
Now I don't have a perfect understanding of the new lore so I could be wrong about a few things, but that's just where I think the story is going

[sp]The Remnant are the Jardaan, my man.[/sp]
