Mass Effect Megathread: "I'm sorry, my face is tired from dealing with everything."

I am already sick of the Kett. They are bland and look like a generic space enemy I would hear about in a TV show's comic book.
I do not want them as the main enemy again for the sequel. I want the decent amount of enemy groups back (like you fight the 3 merc groups, Cerberus, the Reaper forces, and even [sp]yourself[/sp] in ME3. Hell even in ME2/ME1 there was at least differing amounts of alien enemies/group you fight, even if it was for one mission.
[sp]And yes that does include[/sp][sp]The fucking gene mixed freaks they adapted to their ranks.[/sp]

I wish they expanded upon the Collective/Outlaws thing.
Balance Changes
Do these apply JUST to multiplayer or also singleplayer?
I'm liking the semiautomatic rifle damage buffs but the whole "enemies can interrupt melee" sounds broken as FUCK especially with slower weapons like the Kett sword or the Krogan Hammer.

What? You fight Reapers, Cerberus, and Geth in ME3. [sp]And Cat-6 mercs in Citadel.[/sp] In Andromeda, you get Kett, Remnant, Roekaar, Outcast, and the wildlife.
I agree that the Kett are kind of lame, but that's more faction variety, not less.
Yeah but we still have the game, it's not like it's unplayable.
Analogy fits better if you say:
You buy a car, it's covered in rust, but gosh darn the engine is a beauty and it drives like a dream. Plus repairman said he'll fix it free of charge.
[editline]7th April 2017[/editline]
A better analogy would be you don't have a radio or any speakers in the car. It sucks, you're just listening to the sounds of the road, but at least you can drive the car.
I drive without my radio all the time and it's better imo :v:
The issues are predominantly cosmetic so radio doesnt fit imho
In Liam's Loyalty mission, isn't [sp]the Kett ship you're on mentioned to be an Ark Ship? If so, isn't that a HUGE waste of an opportunity to show more about the Ketter?[/sp]
[sp]The Remnant are the Jardaan, my man.[/sp]
[sp]Technically the Remnant is the Jardaan technology. The Jardaan were always called the "Remnant builders" before their name was discovered.[/sp]
Am I the only one who isn't exactly digging Andromeda's multiplayer?
Granted, I play only two matches every time I start a new session, but, as I've reached around level 13 with my human infiltrator, I'm starting to suffer two issues in particolar:
1) The platform-ish gunplay is a nice and fun addition in the main campaign, but turns out to be frustraing in a hold the line multiplayer model. More often than not I find myself having to change my position every three seconds or so in order to intercept the enemies (the pointers in the upper screens don't help matters, as I have often troubles determining exactly on which level I'm supposed to go). It's not uncommon for me to die because I'm desperately trying to get in the upper sections of the map and the enemies are given plenty of time to shoot mw down.
2) The character progression is far more grindy than the one in the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer. Not counting boosts, around level 10 and in the following levels you recive such a low amount of skills point per level that buying the most advanced skill forms may require a lot of matches. Also, I liked the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer mode a lot because the great variety of species and classes gave me a reson to farm for boxes and unlock the many characters I was interested in. In Andromeda's multiplayer most of the more advanced characters feel way too similar to the common and uncommon ones, both in apparel and abilities, so I'm not driven to play matches to unlock them (I mean, at this point I'm only interested in getting the Human Kineticist and the Asari Huntress, fuck everything else). This could be fixed in future updated, however
This is probably late but I do not care, it's just HILARIOUS:

As a friend of mine put it:
10:13 PM - Günthör: Basically, if you give him a high level sniper rifle, jack it up with one or two rail upgrades, and equip it with explosive ammo, Garrus changes from your reliable sniper buddy into a fucking sub-orbital death cannon.
All the praise goes to Shepard for being a legendary hero and saving the Milky Way galaxy
But deep down it was actually Garrus that did all the heavy lifting

I agree, I dont like it much either. I was hoping the multiplayer would play different, more like Killing Floor for instance where u can coordinate with team and hold a position. ME:A MP is more like just an arena where people bounce around with 0 teamwork, not something I am particularly big fan of.

Pretty sure he says exactly this in ME3 at some point.
Holy fuck, people can control their eyebrows now. I was starting to think the long journey in cryo permanently severed the muscles in their upper face.
The new update made the game more acceptable to the eye, but I'm strongly opposed to the practice of releasing an half-baked game to the public and then fix it post-launch. To put this into the correct perspective, imagine a call salesman selling you a broken car and then declaring said car need fixing, so he's going to repair it free of charge, but you'll be without it for days. He'd be lynched.
Also, I must say that Andromeda, for being a game which main premise is to encounter alien species unknown to humanity, doesn't have a whole lot of species to begin with, especially given how many species you could meet in the Milky Way in the original trilogy.
Like, alright, there are the Angarans, who are the true native of the Andromeda galaxy. The Kett, however, at the point I'm in the game, are heavily implied [sp]to be a conqueror species from somewhere else, since their MO is about taking the local wildlife and structures and forcefully convert them into their fold[/sp].
And that's it, as far as I know. Only two alien species. Ok.
there's plenty of alien species, it's just only two of them are intelligent lifeforms
the premise of the game isn't encountering new species either, its to colonize andromeda. everything ties into that fairly well, both story-wise and gameplay-wise. everything you do (so far) is about creating settlements and then improving the quality of life of those settlements.
There needs to be a mission in one of the DLCs where your only squadmate is your twin.

True enough,
though I would have hoped for more variety with wildlife, right now every planet seems to have the same set of animals just with slight variants
There needs to be a mission in one of the DLCs where your only squadmate is your twin.
Yeah, this would be grate

I mean it's probably just a case of development constraints, but the same aliens appearing on different planets could be explained as [sp] some sort of intervention by the Jardaan to populate the cluster after they terraformed it.[/sp]
starting to doubt MP will ever be good in this game
that balance patch was a disgrace, and the devs are so out of touch
watching them play their own game on stream is depressing
Multiplayer is a laggy rubberbanding mess to the point where its actually unplayable
Is there anything to remedy this shit
There needs to be a mission in one of the DLCs where your only squadmate is your twin.
Reyes and your sibling should've been squaddies.

Considering we only ever see worlds that they [sp]were actively terraforming before they were attacked[/sp], that seems highly likely.

That is actually a really good point, I can just imagine thats the case so its not that immersion breaking, thanks
The more I play the game the more Male!Ryder sounds exactly like Nathan Drake to me
Pretty sure he says exactly this in ME3 at some point.
"But without crack sniper garrus vakarian, there might be no legend of shepard at all"

Hosting a game fixes it for me. It's just that every single time I try to play a random quick-join match, I end up with some fucked in Zimbabwe on Comcast's Best Service who's playing Mass Effect as a distraction from their torrent of every movie known to man.
I'm actually kinda sad this game didn't get more time, as there is legitimately no reason as to why the Ryders had to be human. Like thus far, other than going on the human ark... it could have been any pathfinder. The original trilogy is all about being human, but in this one, they could have gone the DA and DA:I route with race and background selection
I feel like we'll never get a Mass Effect game where we play as an alien, and that's a shame.
Anyone else having problems getting the game to launch after the latest patch?
I may just be an idiot, but how do you skip the autopilot sequences?
