2.0.0g Patch Notes Pretty good patch. They nerfed Revenants but didn't reduce the amount of noise they make which is a bit odd.

-When you ctrl-click to move currency shards and form a full stack, any shards leftover from the transformation now appear where there were shards before, rather than at the first empty space.
Yes. Also,
-Fixed a bug where fire damage converted to chaos only affected maximum fire damage, not minimum fire damage, for fire damage that was converted from cold damage that had been converted from physical damage. This is the description in the programmer's actual commit message. It deserved to be left unsimplified!
About time I get a good drop (I have put close to 2000 hours into this game and have never had anything over 5ex drop... wtf). ilvl 73 too
I'm not a fan of how GGG has "balanced" a lot of uniques in 2.0. All the good uniques like Rat's Nest, Belly of the Beast, Lightning Coil, Carcass Jack, Maligaro's gloves, ect. and all of the MFing uniques like Goldwyrms, Aurseize, and Andvarius have had their rarity increased. None of them have been nerfed. Lightning Coil is still the best option for every non-spell caster build (And even then it's probably still the best), Carcass still the best for AoE, ect. Still completely better than rare chests. They even make Brightbeak more rare and people are selling it for 18c+. Who the fuck buys a Brightbeak for 18c :v: I'm pretty sure one of the GGG devs posted once on how they don't balance things through their rarity, I guess they don't believe in that anymore.

Unique Item Rarity Changes Oh man look what they posted like 20 minutes after I made that post :v: I don't understand why any of those uniques are more rare now. Mightflay? Facebreaker? Voidhome? I guess it's cool that they made Voltaxic more common.
I think they became so obsessed with "balance" they lost their mind. Also mightflay is one of my favourite leveling daggers, and rip my hopes and dreams of doing a facebreakers build this league.
It didn't really seem to affect Facebreaker builds much. All the uniques a FB build needs (700%+ Facebreaker, Great Old One's Ward, Abyssus) are only going for ~10c each on Warbands. Jewelry with flat damage on it is gonna be expensive as always though.

Oh yeah. Meginords. That too. I guess it's not mandatory but you'll always want more flat phys on your gear. Dunno about nowadays though, with phys damage in maps being so high you might be better off with a high armor shield.
I do get why they increased the rarity, before now it was kind of like all of these really useful uniques were 1ex or less, and then there's a huge jump in cost to the super expensive mjolner, shavs etc but it's really hard for me because I never end up with more than 1-2ex per league which means a lot of useful gear is completely out of reach

Do you trade at all, shop thread, set as online on poe.trade etc.?
nope, I rarely get anything worth more than 1c and running a shop thread sounds like the definition of not fun
get full sets of un-ID'd rares and vendor them for 2x chaos
Rarity: Magic Weaponmaster's Coronal Maul of Fame -------- Two Handed Mace Physical Damage: 74-110 Critical Strike Chance: 5.00% Attacks per Second: 1.53 (augmented) -------- Requirements: Level: 69 Str: 220 -------- Sockets: R -------- Item Level: 72 -------- 6% increased Radius of Area Skills -------- +2 to Level of Socketed Melee Gems 22% increased Attack Speed Holy shit how I want to turn this into something. a good roll of flat local phys damage and increased% phys damage and I'd have a winner but I don't really know much about crafting.
i've officially dropped more uniques on this marauder in warbands than i have in all my hours spent playing the game. tabula rasa, immortal flesh, ezomyte peak, bramblejack, the screaming eagle, queen's decree, cloak of flame. the only thing i've gotten on my other characters are fucking kaom's signs.
most of those are pretty bad, but you're still doing better than me here's my shelf of interesting items on the off chance anyone needs a trash unique: but hey I found an exalt today
nope, I rarely get anything worth more than 1c and running a shop thread sounds like the definition of not fun
Really? I think you're missing out a lot by not making a shop thread, although you'll only get sellable items when you get to mapping level.
nope, I rarely get anything worth more than 1c and running a shop thread sounds like the definition of not fun
You're not going to make enough currency if you're not heavily in to trading. Pure and simple. Most people who buy items are generally going through poe.trade looking for people who are listed as online and with a buyout price on their items. You don't need super expensive items to make a good amount of money from trading. You can sell your semi-worthless low level uniques for an alch or chaos each, always undercut. Is an item worth 2-3 Chaos? Sell it for 1. Brodeal everything and I promise you that you will make money hand over fist. This is what I do in every league I play. Currently juggling both Standard and Warbands making good currency in each. I haven't played much Warbands(Level 70 or so) and I have around 3 Ex worth of currency sitting in my stash, all from trading. Path of Exile is a game which requires a lot of effort to play efficiently. [editline]Edit:[/editline] I haven't even updated my Warbands shop since a few days after it came out. I'm just listed as online while playing Standard and every once in a while someone will whisper me about buying X item for X orb.
I actually remember the first good deal I made on my first day back playing OB, I got super lucky when a dude sold me a +19% raise zombie for 1 alch, which I immediately resold for 4 gcp the next day :v:

I was trying to get dex on gear for this flame totem build as marauder, now I look at the infernal mantle I got and realise I will be needing a ton more of int instead. I know can master craft some int on my rares, but having to worry about attributes on gear is a pain.
Found a Hidden Potential, switched my Poison Arrow build around to use it. Went from ~7500 PA tooltip to ~12100 :v: Well worth the 10 chaos I had to spend on alterations to roll blue gear.
Uniques like that force you to play the game in a way that's outside the norm. I love it!

I've always been curious how many blues you need to make it worthwhile and what rolls you'd miss out on.
I think for PA nothing can match that scaling so it should be blue in every slot, then make up any resistances with purities
So Lorica dropped for me, incidentally after getting two Redbeaks and Springleaf. I think the game is telling me something. I kinda want to do a low-life build, maybe some sort of crazy Righteous Fire / Ice Something build.
Uniques like that force you to play the game in a way that's outside the norm. I love it!
I'd say encourage rather than force. There's no drawbacks to that unique jewel so it doesn't really force you to do anything (if you equip it and have no magics then it simply does nothing)
"Equip magics (huge downside there) or waste a jewel slot with this equipped" sounds pretty forced to me
A downside would be "When equipped, you do not regenerate health" or "-10% fire resistance". Whether you choose to use magic items or not, equipping the gem gives you no debuffs or anything, so technically speaking it won't force you to play in any specific style. If an item gave you "Converts all damage to Chaos damage" it would force you to get chaos resistance or be increibly weak. That would be forcing in a technical sense.
Picked this up for two exalts... 2500 hours into this game and never had a six link, now I have two :v:
Couldn't you just stack multiple Hidden Potential jewels? Seems like it could be pretty OP. All the blue gear I found as whites on the ground in a 76 map :v: I'm running triple purities, if I got some better rolls I could drop one or two. Lost about 500 HP switching from my other gear. I'm not sure how good it is for anything but Poison Arrow, since most other builds actually have ways to scale them off all your gear. Gonna be nice for leveling new characters though!
Couldn't you just stack multiple Hidden Potential jewels? Seems like it could be pretty OP.
Limited to 1.
