Wait, how do you need to turn down settings on that system when I run fine on 4gb of ram, a i7 860 and an old hd 5800 series card?
With everything maxed, at 60 fps.
Not to mention my newer system which doesn't even dip below 60 when packs blow up. The engine seemed really solid to me.
Full party of dischargers, jungle valley with monster fracture. If your rig isn't dead or on fire by then I will take it out for dinner and marry it.
can someone post me a good and fun build for Witch?
CoC discharge/bv
maybe bladefall?
So I'm going to get back into PoE, I've basically forgotten everything I know about it so where should I go to learn about it?
One of the things I didn't like about it previously is how long it takes to make a build and if you wanted to change it then you were basically fucked and had to start over, has this changed?

Nope. Although that would depend on your definition of "fucked". You could spend a whole bunch of orb of regrets and buy new gear but at that point it'd probably just be easier to level a new character.
Is discharge viable as a NON Cast on Crit build? Seems a bit tricky to work with.
One thing to note though is that unless you're making a carbon copy of some character in a guide somewhere (don't do that), you're gonna find yourself changing a whole lot of things. It's not gonna bog you down at a point where you have to farm for 110 orbs of regret or anything like that; you can definitely progressively build your character if you have some sort of long-term idea of what you would like to do with your character.
I mean, you could technically build CI with blood magic and spend the rest on only stat nodes, but you'd have to actively and consciously sabotage yourself to actually fuck your character up permanently.

It doesn't do enough damage to self-cast it, and you can't reach the required cast speed where it would actually become viable.
Well actually I suppose you could do anything with any build, but I doubt you'd get far into endgame content.
just play that doedre flask cwdt build it'll be fine i promise
They are adding an ice trap with Ascendancy: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1551608

I wonder if they're going to buff multitrap. Going by that video there's no reason to use multitrap over clustertrap.

You can use them both apparently. Multi + cluster adds the additional traps fro! Cluster to the three from multi, and spreads them randomly along the line. Seems like the damage penalty would be steep enough to make it not with it though, like using gmp with lmp.

Then again, simultaneously chucking out 10 firestorms or whatever sounds pretty fun.
Thinking about some sort of Blade Vortex + Three Dragons Mask build with 3-4 auras. Would probably die to elemental reflect in end game though...
I do play discharge fakener alot, it's one of the best builds out there, that seems to get buffed every patch.
I had this insane dream of GGG actually fixing their crap for once, got disappointed again.
Even if I can carry a full party, what I manage to do is disconnect people who invested into the map pool.
Thus, I get kicked alot from parties due to GPU "melting" and disconnect. Need I mention master rotations?
GGG is trying to polish a turd, it's not the correct answer. They need a new engine, a 2015 up-to-date programming language.
They don't even have 64bits support, 5y after release.
I mean, cmon?!
A new engine isn't ever going to happen. That would take years, and at that point they might as well make Path of Exile 2.
I have been super lucky today! First I had a Sire of Shards drop, which ain't worth too much, but I've always wanted to try one out. Then a Jaws of Agony, another cheap item that I needed to get for my trapper anyway. Then, ten minutes later, a perfectly rolled Pledge of Hands! 160% increased spell damage, yooooooo!
Gonna have to try and 6l this b.
[editline]7th January 2016[/editline]
Well, burned through all 200 or so of Jewellers and haven't six socketed it haha. Anybody want to give me a good deal on buying them? I'll chuck all my currency into this thing if I need to, and won't even feel guilty about it, because a perfectly rolled 6l Pledge of Hands would be a friggen blast. This is one of my dream items that I always wanted, but could never afford. I'll keep trying to 6l it if I have to spend the rest of the league at it.

Fakener is a pretty extreme example, though. Popping off 40 screenwide rainbowsplosions per second is about as hard as you can possibly push the system.

Blade Vortex is physical damage though.
Blade Vortex is physical damage though.
Added Fire Damage damage support, possibly also even an Added Cold Damage support with a Pyre ring or other form of cold-fire damage conversion, to stack up a lot of extra fire damage, which would be able to apply the shocked status effect with Three dragons for a "free" 50% damage multiplier that would essentially always be active thanks to the rapidly hitting nature of Blade Vortex, prolly. I'm not sure if the elemental damage would actually outpace the physical damage part, though. It doesn't seem like elemental reflect would be any more a concern than physical effect when it comes to blade vortex, even with a lot of extra elemental damage thrown into the mix.

He's right though about the game being very poorly optimized. They should consider funneling some resources into optimizing the game, starting with particles and certain maps.

Oh ye, not refuting that. Game has a lot of quirks that could stand to be fixed up. I still can't open a strongbox without my screen freezing up for a moment. Just saying that Fakener is understandably pretty nuts as far as strain goes.
I could throw in a poison + void manipulation gem in the mix for fun and go blood magic, drop some auras and use clear mind jewel.
Jesus, leveling at higher levels is so frustrating. Some monster manages to oneshot me somehow and bam, an hour of xp gone.

you could just use physical to lightning if you want decent shock uptime
however if you want to grab all those elemental auras, I'd be worried about the inefficiency of dealing both phys and ele you know? like if you started with an elemental spell instead, ele damage nodes would aid both the base damage and the auras, but since you're starting physical you need to get increased physical instead UNLESS you converted most or all of your damage into elemental. though that is actually achievable with a couple of uniques eg. moonbender's wing + physical to lightning
also blade vortex has only 15% damage effectiveness so I don't know how well added cold damage and stuff will work. it might be ok though!
Man, currency flippers really fuck this game up big time for more casual players. I cannot find a halfway fair rate on jewelers orbs anywhere. Best available is 6.2:1, which is dogshit. Intentionally driving up currency rates is rude as heck.

you can get jeweller's fairly easily if you know some tips and tricks.
selling 6s items, 2 alts for 1 jeweller's to yeena in act 2, level 6 elreon sells a stack of 20 jeweller's for 32 alts daily.
700 Jewelers in to trying to 6 socket this Pledge of Hands haha. I am never not Vorici'ing anything ever again.

I'll get this bitch 6-linked yet. Total currency invested so far: Approximately 100 Chaos.

:tinfoil:
Since my laptop got fixed I can actually play without it looking like Runescape, woo! Started a new Shadow and I have to say I'm really digging the chaos damage spells, it's fun to clear out packs by contagion + essence draining them.
found Bino's and have an Infernal Mantle, thinking about picking up a Consuming Dark and doing a Chaos Pizza build
Out of the current subject (if there's one):
Path of Exile is the kind of game that will get me hooked for about 15 hours and then i'm going to get bored. However, I'm going to recommend it to anyone and repeat the same thing i said to myself when i started playing:
"Why this is free?
Only 15 hours? Pfft
You'll just keep coming back, and playing in larger increments.
You'll see.
Everyone will see.
