What is their fascination with adding countless low level uniques that will never get used?
There are a lot of low level uniques that make niche or alternative builds available to people that want to try them.
Roth's Reach, level 18, maybe ok to use for like 10 levels. It's a strong component in a [URL="https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/45m8l0/roths_reach_rigwalds_quills_this_time_with_spark/"]fork/chain Spark build.[/URL]
Cloak of Flame, also level 18, had its time in the spotlight as a Lightning Coil alternative in Warbands (I think). CoF is overlooked because LC exists but it is not a bad item in itself, just not incredible.
Death's Hand, level 56, not really low level I guess but it follows the same trend. I don't think I heard of any uses for this thing, and then suddenly it's best in slot for offhand Reave.
Obviously there is truly useless stuff sitting in the giant list of uniques but I refuse to write-off anything new immediately. There's just too many ways to take advantage of POE's systems, and too many changes to those systems, that calling anything not front loaded with power useless is kind of an overstep.

Well, that's basically a unique just for the Elementalist's Liege of the Primordial node. But even then I'm not sure if anybody is [i]really[/i] going to use it.

3 golems might actually be enough to start 4 or 6 linking them as actual damage-dealing minions for summoners. so not sure if it's worth it but it's literally enabling golem builds

So with premium stash tabs you can now set tab prices/individual item prices like you would in Acquisition or Procurement. (And with regular stash tabs you can still just use those programs to price tabs/items)

This announcement brought me back to have interest in playing the game again.
that is beautiful, but now I need to buy premium tabs
this is fucking great. i can already see myself spending way more time in ascendancy than i have in the game total just because of these new changes.

Also that summoner belt is... interesting? I can see CI summoners using it, even though losing flasks is pretty painful.
That belt isn't very good, might work for a few builds. But for most Summoners, flasks are our largest defensive tool. No way I could possibly give up a ToH/Basalt/Granite.
I'd probably would have used it if it was something like "Flasks apply to your Zombies/Spectres at 25/33/50% Effectiveness" and still give you the benefit of the flask.

Seems more like a bandaid fix for their forum traffic problems than a fix to the actual problem, the currently shitty trade system. How is this better or any more convenient than acquisition? Why do I still have to rely on third party tools even with this new feature? IMO this also absolutely falls under the pay2win category (especially if acquisition etc ever stopped getting maintained), not "pay2convienience". A new player will look at this and think "wow you have to pay to even trade in this shitty game, I quit".

Okay, so the the new API does actually have a few great and sorely missed features;
• player specific trade history
• no more "verify item" nonsense
• real-time updates
Also since you can list currency in these public tabs, I wonder what kind of impact that will have on the trade ratios?
yeah i'm not super comfortable with such a basic thing being behind a paywall. i feel like they're going to roll out at least one free premium tab or something to appease people, i think that'd be fine.
Yeah, people are calling for one of the original four stash tabs to be a premium one. Knowing GGG, they'll probably listen as this is blatant P2W(Especially if more features are added on top of this.)
If you are still able to right click an item and set a trade price in the basic tabs then i'm a tiny bit ok with it.
Yeah, either have one of the four default tabs be preimum, or they could make it so in regular stash tabs you could individually price items and premium stash tabs could set tab-wide prices.
Do that, put a poe.trade-like thing into the game itself/on the website, add cross instance trading, put the AFK timer back to 5 minutes and mark people as AFK or not in the search, bam. Trade system. You would still have to message people, which I still think is better than automating it.

ID unique challenge, Zana 8 challenge :cry:
id unique and zana 8 is annoying but the other ones dont seem too bad
massive improvement from last league, the ID challenges aside from 'id treasures' are pretty easy this time
I mean 2-3 really hard challenges out of 40 is really good
The hardest ones are probably Clear Twinned Maps, ID Treasures, Clear Maps with Eight Mods, and maybe Redeem Divination Cards? Touching an Echo Shrine will also be a pain but that's not too bad.
All of these challenges seems a lot easier than Talisman ones. I gave up on Talisman challenges after 21 because it was just too much of a pain.
I can see myself completing all of these, except maybe one or two.
I'm glad they changed the ID treasure challenges to be a single item or a small handful, identifying new unique challenge in Talisman was such a pain and cost [B]A LOT[/B] of currency to complete.
Also foot print and weapon effect hype! :excited:

I think i'm just going to do a cookiecutter Scion Asseye/Deadsin Spark to horde currency for a proper build.

The fact that using jewelers/fusings on items doesn't remove the quality now is interesting. I'm also surprised they finally decided to nerf ToH/Vessel, I thought they'd just let them be absurd forever.
No fix for how broken lightning warp is in lockstep though :cry: Whirling blades still best for casters, even with the speed nerf...
That 20% Fusing boost.
