So the most viable shadow build is with claws? A strange class indeed.
No, the tougher melee ones are, shadows are a good choice for bows or crit focused magic.
I thought I could handle Dominus and his buddies by myself as easily as I did Piety. I was wrong. So very wrong. Scion is still the most fun I've had with the game since closed beta though.
Ugh these instances. Tried to kill Dominius with a mate, died before killing him the first time so we tried it a second time. Got Dominius half way down, die, go into wrong portal: kaboof! You're fucked, cause the instance is fucking gone.
Anyone give a comment on this Duelist build? I'm currently using dual daggers and bow on shadow, but I was thinking of switching to claw. I'm only level 20 and this is my skill tree at the moment should I stick with dagger or refund those few points in dagger and become a claw kinda guy

Was thinking i would go for something like this, keep in mind ive never seen the game past act 2 :v:
erm, planning a full 120 points build is kinda pointless since you'll probably never get to lv100. You also have a lot of useless nodes and only a total of 92% increased max life, which isn't a lot. End-game monsters will shit on you. Also, I made a new Marauder build that utilizes Sweep for AoE damage and Heavy Strike as Single Target. I still have a Lv. 70 Marauder sitting around with a free respec so I'll give that a try. If you guys want I can post the build here with my thoughts alongside it, explaining how everything works so you can probably learn a thing or two about creating your own builds.

Maybe it's just 'cause it's normal and all but this game is far too easy, the only thing to provide any sort of challenge (by which i mean it killed me once) was the Vaal Oversoul. I'm not quite done with Act 3 yet so i can't judge too awful harshly nor can i because i've not done later difficulties, just kinda easy on normal, imo.

In Cruel all your resists will have a base of -20%, and in Merciless even -60%. Not to mention there are monsters with an aura (Reflect) that reflect damage done to them back to you, so if you're building full damage and barely any HP nodes you can actually 1 shot yourself to death. If you're up for the challenge I strongly suggest you to hang in there, once you get to know all the end-game mechanics the game starts to get even better.

I'm doing a 2h Templar with tons of Damage and Health so i'm not really being phased by much short of the devil himself right now :P
Made a guide about that new Marauder build I was thinking about. I'll probably still change some stuff around after I played with it for a little while. Gear will also be added once I get my hands on some decent gear, so you know what stuff to look for. http://pathofpoe.com/builds/view/sweeping-pillar-marauder/

is Blood Magic a good idea for Marauders or too risky? current build, but I'm thinking about respeccing out of Shaper and going for Blood Magic instead

You heal a sustainable amount of life by damaging enemies or 2. You have no problems with health flasks Then Blood Magic usually can work pretty well.
If you have a lot of HP and you have Life Gained on Hit gems, plus you have stuff with HP regeneration, then Blood Magic is absolutely should be taken. Because skills spam.
I like this game. I never really played diablo-like games before ( I don't know the official name for them). I've been playing as templar and so far it's been going quite well, I probably put my points into the wrong things, but I'm not so far yet so it's easy to fix.

http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgQAAecFLRQgGS4aVTboQKBHflBHU99USVcNWNtfP2BLYSFko2VNbml07XrvhNmE75krm4OeuZ7NoLSnMKvFrK-53b2BvqfAD9Ih0k3Uj9lh51LvDvIv9777qg==
Ehg. I don't want a shield. I just want to kill things quickly. Two handed is the way to go. Then again i'm often finding the game boring because things die too fast.

I've been trying to use an energy shield but I think it isn't worth trading in the armor I get from other stuff.
Am I the only one that has severe stability issues with this game? It's near constant disconnects or crashes for me.
Also, are you playing on Standard, we can map together sometime
Yeah, I'm playing on standard. Level 73 at the moment, been running level 66/67 maps to try to get a good amount of 68/69 maps.

I'm a Lv. 85 Lightning Arrow Ranger, here's my gear if you're interested :v: [t]http://i.imgur.com/sjKJaAW.png[/t] Probably the most currency i've pumped into a single character so far, but it's so worth it Lightning Arrow is amazing and the crit is so satisfying.
Jesus Christ how do you people have so many uniques. I never found one,let alone have 4 and I'm pretty much poor.
Jesus Christ how do you people have so many uniques. I never found one,let alone have 4 and I'm pretty much poor.
Trading and luck is how I got my gear I guess. I used to buy unlinked Lioneye's Glares for 1 Exalted Orb and invest around 2 Exalted Orbs of Jewelers and Fusings on it to end up with a 5 Linked Lioneye's Glare which I could sell for 5 Exalts. That's a 2 Exalt profit, but it's still based on luck. I've 5 Linked one in 9 fusings, but another one took me around 90, my main strategy was just buying low and flipping the item to sell at a higher price. I also got lucky once and 6 Linked a Lioneye's Glare within 60 fusings, which I sold for 16 Exalts, so I made a good 13 Exalt profit on that item alone. Note that I already had 10+ Exalted Orbs before starting this little business, I don't recommend risking all your currency in something like this, you'll always want a buffer for when things go wrong. You can build up some good wealth once you're aware of most item prices.
Finally beated Dominus. He was a real pain the ass. Had to use 10 portal scrolls to keep coming back to him. But after I killed him and teleport to Cruel showed up, I teleported to Sarn Encampment and then cleared the Library. And now to get to Cruel I have to kill Dominus again. Or not? Also in Library I found my first unique - some shitty level 5 arrows. Of course I shared it with my FP guild bros.

Giant groups are what you should strive to destroy. Surely you've got AoE's right? I'd recommend at least leap slam as ,not only is it powerful and mana efficient, it can also be used as a method of escape. Ground slam is pretty good too.
I regret never picking a leap slam gem from the rewards :v: Also, Do character animations ever go on sale?
So I got this game 'cause a friend recommended it, made a Templar, am extremely low level yet. What sorta things should I spend my skill points on?
