Pohx, one of the largest PoE streamers and one of the hosts of State of Exile got all his accounts hacked. They got access to his Twitch, PayPal, Twitter etc. I hope they don't cause too much damage.

something that immediately jumps out at me is how by crushing down the exp amounts so that they are scaled from 68 upwards it explains why everyone hates red maps ie the gorge meta
going up 1 tier gives 0.5% more exp, which is hilariously bad
they should have uniformly scaled exp in endgame or actually increased the exp it takes to level up at high levels

Soul crushing seeing that I'm only getting like 2/3 to 2/4 of what I was getting in the previous patch at higher levels. No wonder why leveling at 85-86+ felt like such a pain.
I agree with what ZiggyD and Zenocide said on the State of Exile podcast the other day. 1-90 should be relatively quick with smaller XP penalties approaching 90. If you want to penalize people who hit 100 in two weeks, make the curve steeper at 90+ rather than 80/85+. Penalizing the casual player who might only have one or two characters 85-90 every league is the wrong thing to do.

Well, it's not only that... it's the fact that GGG wastes time releasing MTXs + 3d art, while the performance issues still exist ingame.
I'm cringing everytime I see one of these "OMFG, check out these 3d art visuals" GGG post...
Dull posts, filler content, stealing some audience time & views, while the game severely lacks improvements and performance optimization efforts are lackluster.
I can't wait for people to bitch about the new performance issues introduced by these visual clutters spewed by GGG constantly.

the art team doesn't have anything to do with performance fixes
i know the game desperately needs to run better but this is such a monumentally stupid position

While a lot of long time fans acknowledge GGG has problems with their engine, GGG themselves have at least promised to fix the problems as soon as they could possibly manage, and even posted a development manifesto to that effect. All I can say is so far as I've seen, GGG have kept their promises, so while it might take a while for the engine to be properly updated, they'll get to it eventually.
Also, money for the game has to come from somewhere, it's better than having to pay a subscription.

Also much better than random unique item lootboxes for $5 and character re-specialization for $20.
The game doesn't run very well, and I have huge problems with my Nvidia drivers crashing all the time. But at least GGG has promised to work on fixing the issues with the game, they probably have large changes planned for 2.4/2.5/3.0 when it comes to optimization and engine improvements.
They could fix 99% of complaints if they just did what the various hacks available have been doing for years, an option to remove particles, or even just an option to disable particles that aren't from your own skills, it can't be that difficult.
I love the game but they wont be getting any more of my money or playtime until they start fixing performance problems.

I don't think I mentioned the art team specifically in what I wrote...
... I was just writing in terms of content releases and what's focused right now...
You see xy number of mtx and/or 3d art (from the art team ofc), while the other much needed fixes for optimization & performance are promised in next patches.
What's the entire dev team doing then, if they don't fix anything in a timely manner?
It's 2016 already, game engine is bawlz, no 64 bits client after 3 years...
I really want this game to succeed and recommend it to my friends, but in its current state, dayum!
And if player retention (by all means) isn't GGG's goal, then they failed and game's going to turn into an mtx release platform, with mtx up the ass and directX 11 support in 2020.
