I'm glad they're finally fixing the Atoll map bosses. I ran two of them earlier, first one I got a single rare and the second time I got two magic items and one normal.
I got this jewel from the Act 4 Merciless Breaking the Seal quest. By far the best quest reward I've had. :joy:
Similair jewels are going for over 1 Exalted orbs, some even closer to 2!

I got my 2nd ever Exalt drop yesterday. This is going to be a good league.
My first unique drop was a Tabula Rasa at level 5. This is gonna be a good league.

Died at level 70 :(. Well, I was starting to feel the build getting really bad, should have gone 2H if I wanted to bleed. Oh well, I have some money now, might buy Facebreaker and do something fun with that

Do you guys use much magic find gear or are you just lucky in getting the good unique's? Only Unique's I get are vendor trash that sells for like 1-2 alteration on poe.trade.
Like 95% of all uniques you'll find (and items in general) are going to be garbage. IMO magic finding isn't really worth it nowadays and you'd be better off just clearing maps fast.

Only T1 uniques and a few T2s are worth much more than whatever the vendor's going to give you. A high clearspeed gets you more items in general and more currency, and what's valuable and what isnt tends to vary quite a bit with every new content patch. But rule of thumb is if a BiS unique or item comes out (especially one with a source permanently available) initially it will sell for huge sums, up to 40-50 ex. Prices start going down, and stabilizing as supply increases, and drop rates of T1 uniques are always increased once new T1s take their place. They stabilize around 10-20 ex if they're still build enablers, and prices vary for off color sockets and links too, to say nothing of a good lab enchantment.
Heavy investment into MF is not usually worth it, especially solo.
However, I always advocate trying to fit a little bit of IIQ somewhere in builds, especially if your build is focused on very fast mapping. It will help you with currency drops to the point where you can actually notice a difference over the long term. Don't let it interfere with your build's operation though.
Solo MF is my first method of getting currency at any league start.
20/200 can easily be achieved with low effort, and Explosive Arrow works wonders.
A 4L Quill rain with these gems:
EA
Fire Pen
GMP
IIR
As a 5L, slap Less Duration for QoL EA spam...
Dried Lake farming till you get sick of it, you will get the currency.
Sadly, the Brittle Emperor cards are worth shit right now, those were the main source of exalts for me back in Prophecy.
is the Atlas tier bonus bugged? I have ~50% and have gotten +1 maps from white mobs a few times now, which I thought shouldn't happen since the bonus should still respect drop restrictions

Just as Zip said, MF isn't worth it anymore. Being able to clear difficult maps fast will be the best way to make a lot of currency. I'm almost level 93 in Essence league and I can count the amount of good unique drops I've had on one hand(2 Lightning Coils and a Taste of Hate) Most of my currency comes from currency drops, divination card drops, good rares and map drops.
If you're not using a lootfilter, Neversink lootfilter is by far my favourite and in my opinion the best in the game, the semi-strict version sorts out junk rare item bases from good ones.
I have managed to get a good share of chaos orbs (mostly through making 2 chaos a time through vendoring unidentified +60 Ilvl yellows) this league. As you have said it would seem that faster map clear gives you more yellows to make into chaos orbs. What I also do when I need chaos orbs fast is buying white items from vendors and applying essences on them. I mostly use essences of whispering and muttering quality and then sell an entire yellow set to give me a chaos orb.
With that said, the chaos orbs should eventually sum up to a equivalent of a exalted orb in value.

I would recommend saving up high tier and corrupted essences instead and selling them to crafters after the league ends.

In my opinion, the Chaos orb vendor recipe isn't really worth it and especially the 2x recipe. Half decent accessories sell for a lot, 2-3 resistances and a decent Life or Energy Shield roll on a belt will sell for a couple of Chaos at least. Amulet that has a good Crit Multiplier or Crit Chance together with decent life or Energy Shield & Energy Shield % and possibly a Weapon Elemental Damage or Spell Damage/Cast Speed mod will sell for quite a bit. And a decent Diamond Ring can sell for a stupid amount of currency.
Doing the unid Chaos recipe you throw away any possibility of finding a very good item. Earlier today I found a 2x Resistance, high life 800 Evasion helmet which I sold for 8 Chaos and a 2K AR Astral Plate which sold for 6 Chaos. That's the equivalent of doing the unid Chaos recipe 7 times, but it's hell of a lot faster and never slowed my mapping speed down.
Especially early league, mediocre rares sell fast and it's crucial to take advantage of that to catapult your wealth.
I put a load of Tier 5 and 6 maps in to the guild stash in Essence Softcore, I know progressing in to T5/6 maps can be quite difficult.
The only thing I ask is that you take a single map of every type and not to treat the stash as your own personal map pool, to allow other people to also unlock those maps.
I will be stocking the stash regularly and will be adding tier 1-4 and 7/8 maps later on.
