Vaal Breach gem breaches won't give XP or items. Only really useful for flask charges and on kill / on hit effects.
Perhaps you can use them to prolong the duration of a breach when you're fighting a breachlord, if the original breach is about to expire you can cast vaal breach and since the breachlord will still be inside a breach, you can keep fighting it for longer and reap more rewards?

well it makes sense to have them for completeness. but yeah, that really just emphasises the dominance of large ehp pools over mitigation defences ie. making CI even better

Old BV clear speed was insane enough already, having a tad bit lower damage betwern 3 and 12 stacks won't hurt it too much. I'm surprised they buffed the damage at 20 stacks though, as if boss fights weren't easy enough already...
But the whole flask generation was nerfed quite badly? Isn't that what made Pathfinder BV almost unkillable?
And also on hit has been changed for BV too

What they did is going to impact survivability when it comes to dps checks, which means you have to output enough damage to kill a boss fast enough without using up too many portals. A change could be noticed around late yellow to the whole of the red tier, depending on how much dps you can make, the map mods, and their general lethality. It's still going to be very tanky but not as tanky as it used to be at higher tiers, not without the best possible gear.
As far as killing mob packs goes, I doubt much of a change will be seen when it comes to the playstyle of flasks refilling since the kills alone will be enough to keep them filled for the most part

Yeah, Surgeon's from any source was nerfed heavily. Though any BV build that's not flaskfinder BV relying on a ton of flasks will survive.

really as things stand the mobs will still die very fast at comparable levels, it's just that it's going to be harder to maintain flask uptime when it comes to boss battles. Basically, if you're spamming flasks every encounter with a pack of mobs, you're going to have a rough time, possibly considering BV's hit detection change.
