could I get a guild invite? account name is elevator13
Say, since we already have three single-attribute classes, three dual-attribute classes, and one triple-attirubte class, do you think that there could ever be new classes for this game, or has it covered all bases?

Or they could indeed add new classes that start on the outside of the current tree.

Mainhand shield in general should be added to the game.
hi hello my name is mrspooks in-game please add me to the guild thx.
Alright, after playing Spectral Throw Scion for about a week now I've seen some of the weakpoints in my old build so I decided to create a new, very tanky 1h Spectral Throw Templar. The build is a life based build and has 248% Increased maximum life and also has 5.1% Life regeneration per second. This build is also based around using a one handed weapon along with a shield, so don't try dual wielding this build. I would like to know what people think of my build. I'm planning to use it for my first Nemesis Character that I will start playing on Today/Tomorrow, so I will let everyone know if it works like intended. This is the 89 Point version, which requires level 71 assuming you always sided with a bandit. My bandit plan is Oak(+40 Life) Oak(+18% Physical Damage) Oak(1 Endurance Charge) Passive Tree
why no armor nodes? and maybe a bit overkill on shield nodes, and consider using blood magic since you have so much hp
Just finished my first run in this game in Domination league. I cannot imagine how to kill the last boss in HC at all.
This room next to me looked like so much fun that I went trough the entire dungeon to stay the furthest away as possible from it. Hi guys. Whatcha think of my build. I feel like I shouldn't be focusing only on armor and ignore energy shield. Is it a good idea to get moderate armor and combine that with some energy shield instead of just armor?
why no armor nodes? and maybe a bit overkill on shield nodes, and consider using blood magic since you have so much hp
I get enough armour from gear + determination. Block cap is 75%(80% with The Anvil I believe) and I wanted to get as close as I could without sacrificing to many points, currently its 20% from Passive Nodes + 38% from a Buckler(50% If I get a Crest of Perandus) Planning on linking Blood Magic gems to certain skills such as Spectral Throw. I want to run Determination and Purity auras(Switch Purity for Hatred Act 2/3 Merciless)
Wait so basically what Avatar of Fire is saying is that you literally only deal half the damage you're supposed to?

Judging by all the offensive nodes you took I guess you're planning to make a 2handed Marauder? Just some basic stuff that's good to know about Path of Exile, is that ideally you'll want between 200%-280% increased life from the passive skilltree alone. You don't need to spec into a lot of damage, you get enough damage from your items. The further you progress into the game, the stronger the monsters will get. If you barely have any life they WILL one-shot you. Another thing to take into consideration is that you planned a full 120 points build, this is extremely unrealistic since this requires your character to be Lv100. Only 7 people in the history of Path of Exile have reached Lv 100 with only 1 of them reaching it in Hardcore. This is a fairly generic 2 handed Physical Marauder build: 97 Points tree It gives 228% increased life, your attacks can never miss, all your evasion gets converted into extra armor, you spend life instead of mana for your skill (get a Life on Hit / Life Leech gem and you don't have to worry about dying) and you can never get stunned. I usually want to prevent people from investing a lot of time leveling up and then hitting a giant rock wall with their build once they enter Merciless and get shit on so hard by the mobs, but last week I saw a video from Kripp saying it's ok for new players to make their own build and experience what they did wrong themselves so they can improve and know what mistakes they made when they reroll a new character. I guess he's right in some way, but I'd just hate it when new players give up on the game because they can't progress to the end-game content anymore (which is extremely fun once you get there with a solid build). So feel free to follow your own build if you still want, but my guess is that you won't be able to get to end-game with it. Without dying a lot that is, and if you die in Merciless you lose -10% exp, so it will take a loooooong time for you to level up.
Wait so basically what Avatar of Fire is saying is that you literally only deal half the damage you're supposed to?
im currently making an etheral knives marauder with avatar of fire and you can scale its dmg pretty well with fire dmg nodes and so forth. plus, its fun that all your attacks has a chance to ignite. keep in mind that 50% fire dmg could be a lot better than 100% physical dmg. why? because the elemental dmg you do to a mob is based on their resistance and not armor, unlike physical dmg. an ice spear doing 120 dmg in cruel can do more dmg than 1000 physical dmg :v:

Yes, it gets halved to 50% damage, but if you add all of that together it can deal a lot more Fire damage with the right nodes. Not to mention Flammability making mobs weak to ALL your damage. It's a niche Keystone that only works for a couple builds, but it's certainly not a bad one.

so, im playing as a duelist ( level 5 ) and i mainly like to dual wield but i see that im having a trouble taking damage becouse if i get in fight with about 3 mobs my health goes down in no time is there an specific build i should follow?

One thing to know is that Spectral Throw is a Projectile type attack, therefor Melee Physical Damage nodes don't affect the damage, so those nodes you took at the start didn't actually do anything. Just Physical Damage nodes do affect it though. Other than that it's a decent build, I did about the same thing on my Scion in Nemesis but then I died to a pre-nerf on hit Temporal Chains Devourer, rip ;_;7 [editline]4th November 2013[/editline]
so, im playing as a duelist ( level 5 ) and i mainly like to dual wield but i see that im having a trouble taking damage becouse if i get in fight with about 3 mobs my health goes down in no time is there an specific build i should follow?
Get cleave, and kite them around inbetween attacks. Never just facetank a pack of creeps unless you're extremely tanky and you know you can take it.
Cleave is good or you could spring for Melee Splash, it's hella useful on my 2h Templar and if you work it right, you can ljnk it with Double Strike (not sure if actual name) and Heavy Strike so instead of a full power single target HS, it's a slightly weaker HS to a whole group of enemies, super useful imo.
Can someone help me make a Tanky Templar Build, im planning on using a 1 hander and a shield.
Could I get a guild invite please? The name's Bullet_Point
Guild invite please? FaustyFP

so i added the cleave skill into one of my equipped weapons but when i hover above the skill it says " Skill cant be used!" ...and yes i tried this out of a town
Here's a duelist build I'm planning for dual-wield: http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgQBAecFLRIgEuEUIBRxGNsZLhuqG_odyiFgJbwl3yftKLUo2ykuKaUshTQ1Nug4ljpSPfxAoEGqR35KfU4qUEdQUFPfValWBFhjWNtaGluvXotfP2BLYIhhUmNwZU1nm2egbUpuaXKpdO108XrvfLh82YE6hNmE74Zgh3aI7YzPl7SZK5uDnrmfy6LqpBmnMKvFrKqsurcXud29gb6nwA_BB8bYz_jSTdSP137dDd-_3-_vDu9O7-PyL_Pd9kj3Mvjr_MU= I don't know which gems to use though, right now I'm using cleave for aoe dmg, whirling blade for jumping fast on enemies (and it also deals dmg to foes you jump through, I use it a lot that way), and dual strike for single target damage. I'm pretty sure I missed out on some important nodes / might have took some useless nodes, I'd appreciate any tips on refining my build, or any advice on which skillgems might be better suited for this kind of build. You guys were saying that avatar of fire is pretty strong when built right, and my build goes very close to it, I could try doing that but I think then it'd be better off on a marauder character.
Double/dual strike with melee splash is pretty sweet if you have some kind of mana leech.
Don't be afraid to take stuff from the guild stash, it's literally completely filled.
