Played around with energy shield properly for the first time today and I have to say that it feels tankier than any of my other characters.

Anyone done flurry against Uber Atziri?
I cap out at 10k avg dps without charges and around 7-8 attacks per second with mine, not sure if enough.
The quality of his videos keep improving every league, I love these!

Try not to look up a build and just make whatever you want on your first character.
I actually do recommend looking up a build, else you have a very, very high chance you're going to hit a brick wall at later stages in the game where your character will just get oneshot.
If you do decide to just wing it, remember to take plenty of life on the skill tree, Path of Exile can be very unforgiving.
So a few weeks ago after coming back from a 2 year long hiatus from PoE, my characters had full skill tree resets. Any idea how often they do those? Just a little out of the loop.

Usually every league, since the league patches tend to have several balance changes.

every league and every major update gets you a full tree reset, usually.

Depending on the character you were playing, it might be better and easier to just re-roll a new character. Especially if you haven't played since pre-2.0. A lot of changes has happened to the game, Ascendancy classes brought in an entirely new and deeper class meta, not to even mention the jewel system and general passive tree changes.
Passive trees are reset every major patch or major change to the passive tree, which is usually around every 3 months.

I'm hoping that the league after Breach uses a mechanic that is less of a drench on performance, as in the four thousands ground effects caused by rares and the particle effects via breaches.

All zones are covered in burning ground and Tul breaches
How difficult is regular Atziri? I have 4.6 K Life and 600 ES, capped elemental resistances and 55 % chaos resistance. I also have zombies and skeletons to tank some damage and I'm running Firestorm as my primary damage dealer.

I'm afraid zombies and skeletons won't do a whole lot, especially against Atziri herself, they'll just get oneshot by her Flameblast or melted down by her Storm Calls.
4.6k life is on the rather low side for a life based build, i'd say it's doable but you can't get hit by anything and have good mobility to dodge her Flameblast and Storm Call yourself. Bring a Topaz and Ruby flask as an emergency.
First you have to kill double Vaal boss, the strategy here is to get them both to low life and then kill them simultaneously (last one standing gets stronger when the other one dies), unless you can melt them down in two seconds.
After that comes the trio, just be careful of stepping into the ground effects, it can deal a lot of damage.

Atziri herself is a Nintendo boss. As long as you have mobility and knowledge of her movement patterns, you'll be fine.
The hardest part imo is the trio. High physical and chaos damage can catch you by surprise. I usually kill the caster lady first and mow down the other two without much issue because her empowered bone rain spell does huge amounts of damage.
Which is the trio you kill first depends on your build though.

Can't upgrade alternative arts to fated versions unfortunately. Someone tried it in Prophecy, he kept his alt. art Storm Cloud in his remove-only tab forever, took it out in Prophecy, tried to upgrade and it didn't work.

Ayyy finally got my wings.
Challenges this league are kind of annoying, took me like 100 vaals in total to complete the corrupted jewel challenge. That just felt [I]bad.[/I]
It triggers me that you didn't skin rathpith to your shield, that would look perfect.
