Don't expect your first character(s) to be good or able to tackle end-game effectively. If you feel the giant Passive Skill Tree is a bit too much to handle, there are a ton of guides on the official Path of Exile forums. Another good place to find guides is [url=http://pathofpoe.com/]pathofpoe.com[/url]. The best way to learn the game is by making your first character in Nemesis (a 4 month Hardcore league with extra challengers). When you die your character gets dropped to Standard (permanent softcore league), so you won't be playing in the Nemesis league anymore. Best thing to do is then analyze why you died. Not tanky enough? Didn't dodge a specific mob attack? Stunlocked? Just plain careless? Make a new character and start again, see how far you can get this time. When I started playing I started of in Hardcore and after a few characters I finally reached a good level untill I died to desync (server lag), but I got a bit attached to my character and continued in the Standard league. Now that the new Nemesis league was released I'm going to try to exclusively play that league and see what I can accomplish in that 4 month league.

Force Field Discipline looks amazing, I'm a bit disappointed by how lack-luster the Spectral Throw MTX looks like.

Now that the new Nemesis league was released I'm going to try to exclusively play that league and see what I can accomplish in that 4 month league.[/QUOTE] I died on Nemesis Leauge because all the rare roa-skellie mob spawns in the Fetid Pool at the begninning of the game all had the nemesis mod "explode on death with added fire damage" And unless you are a ranged character, it was as far as I could tell an impossible encounter since one roa when killed took out my entire health pool in one go with a healing potion being active and me being at full health as a templar. So you might end up like me and just get shit lucky early on and die on nemesis against a mob thats pretty much impossible to survive early game unless you are ranged :v: And its not like I could have kited them either with a melee build since the whole thing with the undead turkeys is that they are fast and close in distance. Holy shit the Marauder absolutely wrecks shit. After passing level 4 I've been killing everything in 1 hit and barely taking any damage thanks to the items I found. Nice. Got to lvl 7 in no time. I have the feeling this will be short-lived tho.

Avatar of Fire used to be one of the most overpowered keystones in the game. In the way back when it would convert all your damage (100%) into fire damage, and this would stack with bonuses to fire damage. This could hit enemies hard enough that resistances tended to be a joke no matter what, and then GGG said, 'wait, there's something wrong here' and removed the keystone. After a long haul, they reintroduced its carcass here in its current form. Now it's frankly more flavor.

Can you be in more than 1 guild?

Also I almost died on my lv57 Nemesis Marauder, I ran into a Storm Herald rare with Extra Damage mod. Jesus christ, that hurt so much, I also got shock stacked so quick, so I panic logout, login again and join a different instance only to run in a different rare with exactly the same stats almost killing me again rofl.

Sweep Rune + Marauder = Much fun to be had Killing everything around you in 2 sweeps is pretty nice

I have discovered a build that I've had more fun that I've ever had in this game. Going to submit it as a build of the week :)
