Crit Discharge is one of the more expensive builds and on top of that it's not easy to play too. You'll have to manage all your charges while running from pack to pack, trying to pull as many mobs together as possible.
I'm currently playing a Ethereal Knives Scion on Nemesis and it's pretty smooth sailing, probably one of the easier builds I've played so far.
Ethereal Knives' damage scales so hard from the Gem Level that you hardly need to spec into any damage nodes (ofcourse you get some spell damage etc), so you can get a good amount of life without really sacrificing damage.

idk if this fits into your playstyle, but I was a bit sceptical about EK too before I started playing it, and I have to say I'm surprised by how fun it actually is.

Try to plan a build before actually diving into a game and leveling a character, simply allocating points on the fly when you level up is definitely the wrong way to go. You don't need to allocate that many damage nodes, it's better to spec into survivability (Health / Energy Shield / Armour / Resists / Evasion). Pathofpoe and the official PoE website forums contain a lot of decent guides and tutorials to help you with your build.
If you want to make it to end-game I advice you to just follow a build, but if you're comfortable with remaking characters you can always try to create something on your own and see what the build lacks or what you did wrong to improve that on your next character.

Tabula Rasa is a 6link chestpiece with all sockets being white, it grants no stats though.

Tabula Rasa is just a normal unique item that can drop for everyone.

I doubt it, that would mean that nobody since the start of closed beta has ever rolled a white socket with a Chromatic orb.
My guess is that it probably requires a special vendor recipe, people are already speculating about a use for Albino Rhoa Feathers but have yet to find a working recipe.

Just guessing here, but I think that mod totals all sockets on any piece of gear, so doesn't necessarily mean you can craft white sockets.

It also occurs to me that the unique sword with white sockets would be a very funny weapon to use with cleave with that huge range increase. If you got all the sockets as being white, that is.

It would be a cool gimic offhand weapon to increase your range. I saw people talking about dual wielding all white sockets to achieve an insane range, but I doubt you'd be dealing much damage.
I find it frustrating that for me at least half the challenge of Hardcore league is trying to account for lag and/or desync. Only on the HC league, on standard and domination I've had no issues, but frequent ones on the leagues where it really matters.
Just lost my HC Templar on the first map of Act 3, was really thinking that it might have been both my first HC character and my first character to beat the game, was in the ruined suburb-y bit and then loads of desync as I got attacked by 20-30 carrions and a unique undying outcast with ethereal knives. Just mashed my AoEs and bottles but had to watch as nothign worked and then dead.

Oh well, not sure after that I want to continue playing them, for now at least. Gonna roll something new on Nemesis, probably a duellist.
What is this race season five exactly, and how do I participate to get those items? that stuff is pretty good compared to my gear.

Just keep going you learn from the mistakes you make. I've lost 3 chars 48/56/58 to nemesis and my fourth char is well alive at 64 right now, and I feel confident to survive now but I might die again you never know
