Warlord's mark + whirlwind with blood magic is stupidly good on packs of adds.

Hey can I get an invite to the guild my ign is Dpara
there's no shared guild tabs on hardcore, so i guess i won't be offloading my rare equipment
[editline]24th October 2013[/editline]
i'm also constantly failing to log in
[editline]24th October 2013[/editline]
i put some low level rare equips in the nemesis stash though
[editline]24th October 2013[/editline]
managed to log in, tried to use a waypoint, immediately disconnected.
servers must be getting hammered with the after-school steam rush
Yeah, I'm gonna wait like a week for the servers to become stable before I try to play.
anyone know a site/program that sums the skill tree bonuses?

Weird. Beyond random lagspikes (probably just my crappy connection.), and me crashing at a very unfortunate time (but that was probably on my end.), I had no problems.
On a different note: I went back to normal and did everything I "Missed". I liked the new levels and quests.
Also, Final Boss Spoilers:
[sp]Dominus is a bitch to fight against, atleast as a squishy witch, and specially if you Forget to get Portal Scrolls (mistakes were made). But once you figure out what to do he becomes a lot easier.
Def my favorite boss. Also I didn't expect him to turn into that Thing.[/sp]
Says the Character doesn't exist. Make sure you provide me with an ingame character name, and not the name of your actual account.
[editline]24th October 2013[/editline]
Also I provided the Guild Stash with some leveling gear, feel free to take something out might you need it, but please don't be greedy and take everything for yourself.
my mistake, it's YogSotthot
If anyone feels like starting a new character on Nemesis and chatting on teamspeak let me know. I'll try and help you out if you are new to the game.
Ingame name is Saberth, please invite.
This game seems so hard to get into, I cant follow any builds because all of them that I look at require stuff I cant actually get my hands on and I seem to just die really quickly to enemies if I just attempt to play. Am I doing something wrong ?
Work on your health pool and resistance.
Armor is poop, Evasion is okay until you get hit and Energy Shield used to be fun.
Craft(read: gamble) a bubbling flask for emergencies and you'll be golden.
[edit]
If you want to progress through the game as quickly as possible, use Freezing Pulse with Lesser Multiple Projectiles gem and Added lightning gem. Dual wield two daggers that give very high global critical strike chances.
This allows you to shock your enemies when you score a critical strike which will do even more damage on all further attacks.
It's also incredibly safe to play.
So has the combat feel been improved since beta earlier this year and what kind of other changes have been made since then
I kind of lost interest in PoE halfway through act 2 and was wondering if it would be worth it to try again now that its officially out
Anyone?
Could I be invited to the guild again?
IGN: Nystic
Anyone else having this problem?
I'll be playing, enjoying the wonderful game, when suddenly everything around me from minions to enemies stops moving and my attacks do no damage, but I can still move around.
It's like I disconnected, but my internet is totally fine.
Anyone?
melee is a lot stronger than it used to be because they added a bunch of passive gems like melee splash and multistrike (think D2 zeal), there's also a very good one that gives endurance charges on hit
they also revamped the damage nodes so they are no longer shitty, now they give hp% and other sweet bonuses so you can actually stack physical % damage nodes for weapons and do very well
[editline]24th October 2013[/editline]
the game still has desyncs though, but it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be, at least it hasn't been for me

Probably desync. Type /oos to reset to where you're actually standing according to the server. Might be handy to bind the command to a macro if you're playing a Hardcore League and you don't want to die from desync.
invite me pls PrivRyan
steam cards for this game are expensieve as hell lol
Cleave is so good for clearing out waves of enemies, also helps if you are tanky as hell.
In the forests now.
2h axe with spectral throw is ridiculous. You can clear entire rooms in like 3 seconds.

Dual Wield Cleave got nerfed in 1.0.0 though
2h axe with spectral throw is ridiculous. You can clear entire rooms in like 3 seconds.
Yeah, it's an amazing skill. I'm running a Spectral Throw Scion. It used to have a shotgun effect too in the release sneak peaks, meaning that if you support it with Lesser/Greater Multiple Projectiles and multiple projectiles hit 1 enemy they all damage it, but they removed it before the patch went through.
Some good mechanics with Spectral Throw:
Link it with Lesser Multiple Projectiles, throw some weapons at a mob pack and quickly use Leap Slam to leap to the next pack. If you're quick enough the Spectral Throw will still be flying back to you and hit the next mob pack on its way back too.
Use the curse Projectile Weakness on a mobpack before throwing your weapon at them. Projectile Weakness makes them take more damage from projectile based attack and has a chance to knock enemies back when hit. This can be really useful seeing as mobs can be knocked back along the path of your thrown weapon, making them take damage multiple times.
Just finished Act 3 normal :v: Time for Cruel.

I'm having a bit of trouble, I have no idea where to go with my passive tree, and just generally have no clue what I'm doing.
I"m a level 21 ranger, would prefer to use bows and elemental arrows, what builds would you guys suggest that I follow? ones that are preferably not to gear dependent, sine I'm guessing the more gear a build needs to work the harder it is to level without said gear.
That's what's really confusing me I can't tell what builds are catered towards newer players and not.
I feel really dumb cause I've never played an MMO this complicated before..
Like I said, PoE will be patched to Version 1.0.0 in 9 hours from now, the skill tree will undergo drastic changes and certain game mechanics won't be the same they used to be. Creating a build right now is really useless. I'd be glad to help you out once I get a full view of the new Skill Tree.

I'll make a small guide for you once I'm done with it.
Here's some gameplay someone made for a similar build

Hello there! Any update on when you got time to post a new build for the new tree with a facebreaker-build? New to melee dmg and got a pair of Facebreakers since before 1.0 that I want to use on my newly created marauder.

So, what build is now best for a melee marauder?

Ranger is my favorite class, got a lv85 Ranger. I played a Rain of Arrows Ranger until Lv80, then I respecced to Lightning Arrow, but the latter is really gear dependent and probably one of the most expensive builds ingame.
Add me on PoE (MrFlashcat) and Steam and I'll help you out when I get home from work.
Rain of Arrows is fairly easy to level with, it doesn't require a whole lot of gear, although you can get a really solid character with better gear, a Lioneye's Glare will probably be your main goal of getting. Save up as much currency as you can so you can buy one later on.

If you happen to be playing on Standard, I can also set you up with some of my previous gear when I played Rain of Arrows.

Should be the core of a decent, tanky Facebreakers Infernal Blow build. Take a look at my post about the core items on page one, it should say which uniques you should try to get.
The build passes right next to +30 DEX and INT nodes, so if you need extra DEX / INT to level up gems or wear specific items, don't be afraid of speccing into those for leveling until you get enough Attribute Bonuses on your gear itself.
Feel free to ask questions if you have any, or add me ingame (MrFlashcat) or on steam.

You'll have to reach Lv100 to fully complete the tree, but I doubt you'll get there, there are only a couple of people that ever reached Lv100.
In act 2 there's a quest that let's you decide the quest rewards: The Bandit quests.
The rewards are different for each difficulty, these are the rewards you should get:
Normal Difficulty: Help Oak (+40 Base Life)
Cruel Difficulty: Help Oak (+18% Physical Damage)
Merciless Difficulty: Help Oak (+1 Endurance Charge)
Alternatively you can kill all bandits in Cruel to get 1 extra skill point so you can spec into 1 extra life node to be more tankier, but that's up to you.
Skills to use
Main Attack
4 Linked: Infernal Blow / Multistrike / Melee Physical Damage / Life Leech
5 Linked: Infernal Blow / Multistrike / Melee Physical Damage / Life Leech / Faster Attacks
6 Linked: Infernal Blow / Multistrike / Melee Physical Damage / Life Leech / Faster Attacks / Melee Splash
You won't be using a 5 or 6 Link if you're using a Bringer of Rain and Facebreakers, it prevents you from using a chestpiece and weapon and the max number of sockets on anything other than a chestpiece or weapon is 4.
If you do get your hands on a Bringer of Rain, it has certain support gems built into the item itself, essentially making it a 7 Link. You'll be placing the Infernal Blow gem inside Bringer of Rain with the following links:
Infernal Blow / Multistrike / Life Leech / Added Fire (or Melee Splash).
Other skills to use
Enduring Cry, Molten Shell, Warlord's Mark
