Currently have 13k dps with my molten strike with hatred and herald of ash on with Molten-Multi-Faster-Meleephys-Added Fire. Is there a better way to 5L this? I'm in Rampage by the way.

Also, is that dps good for a level 57? I'm very low life and dedicating like most of points from now on to HP. Also got max res in merciless, except for chaos of course.
That's pretty good DPS for lv57, but I can't judge an entire build solely on DPS. HP, armor, evasion, block chance, dodge, spell dodge are all stats that are just as important as DPS. I mean, I can go full glass canon with 200k dps and 1k life without any armor or evasion but that character would suck since it would die instantly. Just gotta find the right balance between DPS and survivability for your character.

I'm in Act 1 merciless and haven't had any issues with damage or survivability yet. My final build should end up about 4-7K DPS.
Yeah just going vanilla marauder, I have max res + like 50-60% phys reduction, higher when I use enduring cry cause I have 5~ endurance charges. I also need a god damn granite flask my god. I can get an exalted orb to drop but not a granite for the life of me.

How is the new CoC doing? I haven't tested it yet, but when you have 6-7 casts per seconds it shouldn't be noticed at all. But if there is a difference it might can be somewhat compensated with more spell damage or spell echo. I'll roll with a dual ungil block coc scion. Her name will be Cockblocker haha also poll: crit bow with barrage, dagger with spectral throw, dagger with cyclone or wand with barrage for CoC?
Anyone have a Searing Touch they'd be willing to trade? I sold mine a while back, around June, for way less than what it was worth, and now with my fire trap build, I actually need one haha. That was my main up until 1.2, I stopped a little bit prior and started leveling a new char though, just due to how I made my CoC. I did "estimated" 80k DPS but I would die to almost everything, I got him all the way to level 78.
I am sick of crit builds. There need to be more simple and cheap builds for beginners available on the forum, because the dozens of crit builds cluttering those pages rely way too much on absurdly expensive gear, and are complicated to the point of senselessness. Looking at it as a fresh player, it gives the impression that it's terribly difficult to succeed in a build without exploiting a dozen different gameplay elements and all-unique equipment. Hell, not just crit builds, but any build that so deeply relies on an in-depth knowledge of the game's systems, and a lot of money. Once I get to end-game, I'm going to start working on a series of builds that focus on basic gameplay elements, skill trees, equipment, and regularly available skill gems (available from quest rewards), to spell out to new players who aren't sitting on the national reserve in their stashes that it's not terribly complicated to make an effective end-game build with the gear and resources available to them.

Just contact me when you see me online.

Your overal stuff costs like 10 chaos tops, ofc you can pimp here and there. Also there are RF incinerate versions but they require the Rise of the Phoenix shield wich is 5c to 2 ex afaik. Or a Bm ranger, fireball witch aka The carpet bomber, block templar, ground slam marauder. These are just the ones that came into my mind. They are solid platforms and have the potential to get you to endgame the cheap way.

Many crit builds work from scratch, ofcourse your damage wont be as high until you get items such as Maligaro's etc. but it's still viable. I'd recommend checking out some Path of Exile streamers/youtubers for tips and idea for builds. Most of them only play 3/4 month leagues and you're forced to start from scratch every time. [editline]26th August 2014[/editline] RNGesus has really made it up to me today after screwing me on the Sidhebreaths. 3 Exalted Orb drops over the span of about 4 hours, and a decent 5L which netted me .5 Ex :v:
holy fucking shit this fight http://www.twitch.tv/etup/b/562046538?t=598m05s etup is pretty darn good at this game

I have 12%-16% life leech total right now, should I take vaal pact or just get a bloodseeker?
I have 12%-16% life leech total right now, should I take vaal pact or just get a bloodseeker?
You could use Bloodseeker until you get a GG end-game claw and switch to Vaal pact after. Saves you a few skillpoints at first.

Found 31% IIR gloves + an exalt today, it has been a good day. Maybe this character will go places
Today was a good day for me too! Found a max evasion 6S Hyrri's Ire, a Soul mantle and a mid roll Wings of entropy.
I've found jack shit lately, not to mention I used like 15 exalts to help gear up two friends of mine when they changed builds after the 1.2 patch where is my karma
Found 3 Ex yesterday a 5L and countless gems/items sold. Must have made well over 6 Ex :v:
What would be some of the better skills to use with totems? I assume things like Shockwave totems, Arcs, Searing Bonds or Incinerates would be good, maybe some minions and curses to go with them?
