Innocent_flower I've got my brother to quest with, but he's lagging behind. It'd be nice to join a guild.

I still doing everything alone, despite being in guild. Damn leagues. If anyone just got to Act 2 and in Standard league, I'll be glad if you'd join me.
I haven't played this in forever and all my characters have gotten respeced, I have no idea what I'm doing. Is going for crits, ice spells and running clarity still good on a shadow, or would I be better doing that as a witch?
So I just got to Act 3, and uh. RIP summoner build.
I played though the whole normal dificulty as a necromancer witch, it's not difficult at all. (as long as you keep the enemy's attention on your minions.)
How common are respec items? I only need to refund like 3 points.
so i have played for a bit and so far i have really liked it, playing as a duelist wielding 2 nice daggers, what is this stuff about builds you people are talking about?
How common are respec items? I only need to refund like 3 points.
You can do certain quests to get free respec points. Otherwise A regret orb is like 1:1 with a Chaos orb.
I am stuck... Currently lvl 56 and sitting on Act 3 on Merciless. Since the passive points reset i have no build to go for and have absolutely no currency whatsoever to try builds. What do?
So I just got to Act 3, and uh. RIP summoner build.
Due to running summoner build, I gotta ask, why is that? Edit: Also I'll use this opportunity to ask, what happens in this game when you die, and what are the different leagues? I chose domination, and sometimes I see those shrines which give you 30 seconds of buffs. At the start I actually thought I'd feel the difference much more, but it doesn't feel like there's much difference from standard (not that I have played standard yet).
So I'm fighting Dominus. We are already on phase 2 and I'm doing jack all because I'm a melee that dies in seconds. Fighting him and kiting whilist in a group. Then I Dced.I'm kicked from the group.Panicking i reconnect as fast as possible I find the group and rejoin. He is dead.Only The cockaroach fetish lady is left with a yellow exclamation point above her head.| Click to talk to her and the game is over, the credits start rollin'. Instantly click on the portal behind her without knowing where it leads me. And that my dear friends is how I am now stuck at the start of the game in cruel difficulty.
Can I be invited to the FP guild? IGN Agent_Wesker

If you die on hardcore you just get dropped to the standard league Im sure?
Yep, I'm sure that's how it works if I recall.
If you die on hardcore you just get dropped to the standard league Im sure?
All deaths in hardcore/nemesis lead to standard if you die in domination, you stay in domination If you die in standard, you just respawn Once nemesis ends, and you're still alive, you get sent to hardcore Once domination ends, you get sent to standard more detailed post by a dev, although slightly outdated
In Hardcore, if a character dies, they're out of the league. This doesn't only affect the character, it affects the economy, because all items that character had died with them, and as far as HC is concerned, are gone forever. It is never possible in HC for you to be using an item that belonged to a character that died, because their items were taken out with them. In Anarchy, characters can continue when they die. While we track character deaths and could move to hardcore only characters that never died in Anarchy, they would be carrying items that do not belong in a hardcore economy, because they've traded with characters who died, and obtained items tainted by death. These characters managed not to die by directly benefiting from a non-HC economy, where far more items are easily available because they aren't constantly leaving, and would carry hundreds of death-tainted items to HC with them, should such a transfer occur. Even if we kept death counts for every individual item in the league, and didn't transfer those, we'd have characters arriving in hardcore without most of their gear, losing HC gems that were socketed in non-HC items, and fundamentally, we're still putting characters in HC who didn't avoid dying in hardcore. Not dying in a softcore league and not dying in a hardcore league are not the same, because the softcore league has far more easily available items in the economy, due to them not leaving when characters with them die. It's easier to gear up. A character who only "didn't die" in Anarchy did not achieve the same as a character who didn't die in HC. They probably used items that wouldn't exist in a hardcore economy. They almost certainly benefited from the larger numbers of items in the economy. If they ever played in parties with characters that died, then they made progress they could not have made in HC. A character who didn't die in Anarchy, or any other softcore league, is not equivalent to one who doesn't die in hardcore. As such, moving characters from such leagues to hardcore would not be reasonable.
Great, need a life leech gem but cant even afford one.
You can buy gems?
You can buy gems?
people occasionally sell gems in trade chat for higher level currency items
Is there anywhere I can do price checks on gems ?
Should you always use your ability gems in your weapons ? Or does it not matter what item they are in.
Should you always use your ability gems in your weapons ? Or does it not matter what item they are in.
it doesn't matter where they're in. all slots are created equal but if you want to link them up to support gems you'll need them to be in items with enough linked slots of the correct color type for all of the gems that need to be linked up. different equipment have different maximum slot amounts

Is shadow really that hard to play?
I want to get into this game, and my only experience with this type of genre is Torchlight and Torchlight 2. The Duelist looked interesting, but is there a beginners guide anywhere?
