I have never actually seen a shield charge build. Is there any legitimacy to it? The "more" damage multiplier is kind of interesting.

Could probably be great with herald of ash/proliferate, given that shield charge is capable of delivering the highest damage in the game.

Doesn't Explosive Arrow have the highest damage potential? Against an enemy that can outregen the base arrow damage you have the opportunity to get infinite stacks of explosions.
My MF FT Witch is not working out too well, in Act 2 Merc and just about everything kills me, even though I have 2200 ES, and 65% All Res. Could just be getting unlucky, but until I can get my Witch some better gear, im leveling a Tornado Shot Ranger, with some of the nice gear Ive gotten from playing on my Witch.
2.2k ES is kinda low though

Do you have to trade with other players (don't see why anyone would want less useful orbs though) or are there NPCs somewhere you can exchange equivalent values? Like I see people selling things for 2 ex, I'm assuming that means 2 exalted orbs? Where do they get them? Are they just drops?

The vendors allow you to buy some of the orbs but at worse exchange rates than you can get from other players. All the orbs drop and IIRC cartographer's chisels are the only one that only drop on merciless difficulty.

I've been using a Geofri's Baptism since level 30, I'm level 43 just started Cruel and haven't found anything better so far. Been running a very loose Infernal Blow (AoE + Life Leech) build and it's kinda working with almost 2k DPS but I really don't have much idea what I'm doing.

Today the POE gods decided to end my suffering. I got a blue strongbox with the Singularity mod ( additional unique item), and BAM, 177% phys damage CHIN SOL \o/.
My previous bow was dropped in the beginning of ACT3 in merc so it's tears and joy now for me.
