I just did the new Unique Strand map.
The boss fight is the most troll one I've ever done
It's a Giant sea witch that casts an Ice Nova which covers your entire screen, along with GMP Arctic Breath in a circle around her. She leaves Chilled Ground in an aoe around her and spams Frost Walls everywhere.
Whenever you run up to her, she runs away from you like the White Albino Rhoa. When you do get close she teleports away after a split second.
On top of that she as a big ES shield, so the damage you manage to sneak in will be healed shortly.
To top things off she also has a Proximity Shield, so no ranged attacks
Took me well over 15 minutes to kill her :suicide:
I just facetanked double residence dominus at level 77, so happy with this character.

I think I'll be running both of those auras by around level 85 anyways. I have max block, max spell block, max aa (+25% effectiveness too) and tempest/herald of ice linked with bind aswell as the usual immortal call/enduring cry/inc duration setup.
There's a fairly important change that was added before the last patch went live:

Keep in mind that Mjölner alone won't cut it. You need specific gear to cover the high attribute requirements.

Trash mobs melt like butter with incinerate and I haven't encountered any mods/bosses that don't die easily either.

Will people actually buy flasks, or do they usually just roll them? I am looking them up on Poe.Trade and the prices seem higher than they should be for how easy it is to roll a decent flask.
Like, a Quicksilver Flask that recharges a charge when you deal a critical strike, and removes bleeding. That's useful, right? But it's just a magic item, and it's selling for 1 ex. Seems high. What's the deal?

I noticed that as well... I think people are just retarded when it comes to pricing items. That being said, staunching is a very good mod to have on quicksilver flasks, so who knows.
Speaking of flasks... the newly buffed hybrid flasks are awesome and actually worth using with MoM builds now (imo).

1ex is overpriced, you should be able to get such a flask for a few chaos, or 1 gcp if that at most, and I consider that to be overpriced.
Magnus and Minara need to be removed from the game.

I'm really loving the Surgeon's mod with my cast on crit build! I can just about perma-run my flasks, thanks to the constant charges generated by my critical strikes. I want to roll a Quicksilver with that and increased movement speed. That'd be off the chain.
Cast on Crit is pretty fun on the whole, but I'm not sure how I feel about it long term. The survivability and DPS against single targets seems very low. I can blap giant groups like nothing, but tough single enemies are harder to sustain against (life on hit is less effective) and harder to damage (less skill spam being procced by CoC).
Survivability will probably be better if I can ever afford an actual 6L chest, though. I'm forced to use Tabula Rasa right now, and the lack of defensive stats is starting to be a bit problematic as I prepare to roll into Merciless.
Rule of thumb is; if Cruel Dominus gives you a hard time or you need to group up to face him, you'll get pretty much stomped in Merciless past Twilight Strand. If you can get a cheap 5l chest from somewhere, or pay a Master to craft 5l onto a decent piece of armor (should be cheap after a few days' farming), you'll be good.

Transmuted t1 ES and t1 chaos... then regalled t1 life. There aren't any hybrid belts even close to this (not even on standard), and I can't afford to et/ex it... I have no idea what to do lol.
