Well I died on my Facebreaker cyclone character in the HC 1 month. Flamebearers are scary as cyclone :v: Just had 24% XP to go before I hit 64, was gonna do Piety and then start maps. At least the only actual good gear I had was a Meginord's Girdle.
Oh well. Was either gonna do a zombie summoner or flame totem if I died, found a 15% flame totem so I'm gonna do that.

With all the customization in the game already, the addition of the jewels gives room for even more build potential. I wonder about the in-game lore behind such a change, maybe they want to bring the Exile closer to the former gemlings.

they're adding an option where you will have to wait your ping time before performing any action, just like in games like LoL or Dota2. this removes desync entirely, they say
also 70 new uniques holy shit. i know ~20 of those are gonna be jewels, but 50 unique everything else is still fucking insane

I don't know if I have ever had such bad map luck. Level 78 and and the highest map drop I have gotten is 71, I am stuck doing level 68 maps. I really hope the new zones go up to around level 75.

They really didn't plan this out well. Why did they hype an April release for over a year if they were going to do this with no temp league to fill the gap?
I'm not sure why they gave us a one month event which would make you think the expansion is going to come out after it, then start the beta [I]during[/I] the one month, then have it actually come out 2-3 months later. Probably could have done that better.
God damn you GGG. What are you going to fill the next months with? Everywhere, people were talking about expansion release later this month. Even GGG hinted at it several times. A beta for a select few is hugely disappointing.
At first I thought if you signed up for the beta you'd automatically got in it, turns out only a bunch of selected players get in...
That would basically make it an open beta, which I don't think is a good idea. An open beta would just be people playing it early and not really "beta testing" (Although that's going to happen anyway), they'd encounter some bugs, say it's shit and then never play the full release.
There's a reason why they want people with Alpha access and streamers to play, to test and hype the expansion up. I bet we are going to see a small amount of actual players get to participate at first, perhaps they'll release new MTX packages that gives you beta access($25/$50 level?) much like they did during the original closed beta.
I'm going to bet that we'll see the new expansion fully release around the 1 year anniversary of Forsaken Masters(September)
I really hope GGG releases something, soon. I've put over a thousand hours in to the game and at this point I feel like I have almost done everything and I'm just waiting for new content/league to play. I want them to pull me back in. I feel like if I play the beta, I'll get burnt out by the time a super-mega awesome league begins with the release of the actual expansion.
