Found a Taste of Hate too that I forgot to put in there. Surprising number of people on the PoE Reddit that stopped playing the league once they found out that the characters would go to a void league, I thought that was one of the most fun events GGG has ever done. I imagine it'd be less fun in HC though...

Well, beta patch added Magma Orb and the rest of Act 4. Magma orb is pretty fun, the rest of Act 4 is amazingly creepy. Not a big fan of the final boss though. [sp]Malachai looks really good, has good voice acting, cool looking attacks... but the fight just takes FOREVER and he does a ridiculous amount of damage. I had 880 HP and 250 ES and ~50 in all resistances, which isn't the best I know, but he did SO MUCH damage. I think I died about 40 times. I probably just need to get gud though. He also seems to do phys, so there really isn't much I could do about it. I don't think it's completely done though, the credits don't even roll after you kill him, a portal to Cruel just appears.[/sp]

Standard economy has pretty much gone to the shitter now, have fun obtaining a good item without a mirroring it and paying 100s of exalts as a mirror fee on top of that.
I just started playing this for the first time in about a year, with a new character. Is the class you pick, just for roleplaying purposes? They don't seem to come with anything unique about them, and any class can pick any skill to put points in it seems.

i have already decided what build to make for the awakening, its gonna be the most glass cannony shit ever imaginable by a human for now its gonna stay secret, but if it doesnt reach at least 80k deeps im gonna be mad and at least 200k deeps taken

not sure whether to play melee or caster melee has a lot of cool stuff in this patch but I want to play something that doesn't rely on gear as much

I was thinking of maybe ball lightning, or a tanky tendrils char with high block tempest shield
Block is kinda shit nowadays gl stackng it properly as a caster
Does CoMK work with culling strike? I was thinking of doing a Righteous Fire build with Cyclone - Culling Strike - CoMK and maybe, like, Flamesurge or Firestorm or something?
