Are there any guides to getting the various legendary weapons (like Dawn, etc)?
Are there any guides to getting the various legendary weapons (like Dawn, etc)?
Everythings on the wiki https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Legendary you can also type "/wiki itemname" to search for things ingame
Are there any guides to getting the various legendary weapons (like Dawn, etc)?
Wiki is your best friend, but otherwise non-HoT weapons can be done with or without Legendary Collections, but HoT weapons can only be done through Legendary Collections, and both require you to have HoT.
Settled on the look of my next character for when I get the new expansion's character slot.

It'd be a shame if he isn't a necromancer because he looks like someone who would want to be referred to as "The Dark Lord"

I'm pretty hyped for Renegade. I didn't like how it looked at first, but it has some fun stuff. Also, I'm very impressed by all the skill effects I've seen so far. I never paid attention to the Scourge effects until I saw them in the lobby today. Crazy stuff.
I'm about to ding 80 on my first character, what would you guys say is the first thing to focus on?

You can check Metabattle for the current meta builds for each gametype, or if you feel like you're up to snuff with things, you can experiment on your own thing. Then it's just about getting the right gear to complement the build, which you should craft yourself(at least the weapons for the most part), but it's a very long trek that especially if you don't have as much resources. You can save up on a lot of resources by getting temple armors from Orr, a full set will set you back 252,000 karma. You can also try to get masteries done for some useful utility and general achievements.

Professions have always been the last thing to get done in every MMO I've played.
The good thing is if you've just been hoarding all your materials its going to go a bit more smoothly. The final part of legendary crafting turned out to be pretty quick for me because I had over 3 years worth of materials I needed for it. Those stupid amalgamated gemstones though.

Those stupid amalgamated gemstones though.
You can only get them by either doing the meta on a Heart of Thorns release map for 1 or by stuffing stacks of 3/25 gem orbs into the forge with some dust/an ecto and getting out 1/10 or sometimes a bonus of 5/25. All the / is because there's 2 recipes for varying quantities, the recipe with larger quantities is better value Getting 250 alone means 1875 orbs and 25 ectoplasm if you're unlucky and don't get the bonus amount. A single gemstone orb costs at least 26s currently, so the full 1875 could mean you're playing an extra 487.5G to make those gemstones. Long story short, always go for the amalgamated gemstone reward when doing the Heart of Thorns maps
Mildly disappointed Soulbeast doesn't actually let you control your pet or anything...you just get a green mist. e: I have a few hundred Trick-or-Treat bags. Should I open 'em or sell the bags?
It just occurred to me that we haven't seen Zojja at all since the end of HoT. What's up with that? Did they just forget about her?

Thats just my guess though, I dont know what the actual story is.

Zojja came out (temporarily?) blinded and barely able to speak. Logan still felt awful and barfy and wiggled out by being split into a bunch of soldiers It's odd how urgent they made the situation feel, but never gave closure to their condition. Even if VA's weren't available, it would have been easy to like, visit them at a hospice ward and have a nurse give you a little blurb about recovery[/sp]
The Holosmith reminds me so much of Symmetra from Overwatch lorewise. Seems like they got inspired by all the 'hard light engineering' stuff.

We ended off [sp] in the middle of Mordremoth's lair just kinda standing there going "cool we did it" but there wasnt a really a satisfying conclusion. We were still in the middle of maguuma and the pact was still in shambles. And like you said, we never got a follow up with the two Destiny's Edge members that were in the blighting pods. All we got were quick one liners in the next few episodes of "They're still recovering" until Logan shows up. Its what gave me that feeling of scheduling conflicts. You're right though, we totally could have just had a single bit where we get to see them in a post Mordy fight instance on say a surviving Pact Airship out of Maguuma and just seen them laid up and all bandaged.[/sp] Overall the end bit of HoT felt really lackluster and the whole Dragon's Stand meta felt like a more fulfilling ending to HoT than the actual final mission did. I have more hope for PoF though because Anet seems to have taken note of a lot of feedback from HoT for the better.
Remember, they got a new voice actor for one of the playable races. If it's VA issues then I don't see why they can't replace them too.
Felicia Day said on twitter she would love to voice Zojja but Arenanet haven't asked her back. https://twitter.com/feliciaday/status/893319884033085442
She's probably expensive as shit too.
Probably, but hey, they can afford John DiMaggio. Then again Canach's the single best character so he's probably worth it.
Here's hoping he's back for PoF, because he really is the best character.
I forgot Zojja existed until running in to her again in HoT, I found her entirely forgettable. I only remember Logan as well simply because of playing a human and ergo being forced to deal with him.

And I noticed how she just vanished from the plot, and Taimi basically just replaced her. Doesn't make much sense, if it was both of them working together it would have been more interesting, though.
Yo Anet, where's the salvage-o-matic sale?
Canach will be back at some point but remember he's a [sp]free sylvari[/sp] at this point so I imagine we will pick up his story again either in PoF or Season 4.
so am i just incredibly blind or is there no collection for Eureka? its the only legendary that seems interesting to me
Eureka, along with all legendaries that have and will come out after it, changed to a different means of creation. Instead of a legendary journey, all you need is the recipe from the legendary vendor in Lion's Arch and then you go out and earn legendary-specific tokens from vendors in LS3 maps.
Canach was in the announcement trailer hidden behind a bunch of flames fighting that huge forged construct thing, and in the Crystal Desert/Elona trailer too, so he's definitely apart of this story (thank fuck). I'm hoping they actually give this story a sense of conclusion instead of another stupid cliff-hanger which we've been getting since LWS1 lol.
