got tired of running around in the phalanx set on my rev so gave him a bit of a change, couldn't really get a good picture anywhere because lighting works really strangely on the rampart chestpiece, then i accidentally took a slightly zoomed-out picture in EotM while waiting for my team to break through a gate and it looks kinda cool i guess

the red on the cloth pieces is alot brigher in other areas, armor itself is a mix of black and grey-ish because i like using class colors on my characters
I really like how that looks. I never really notice the collar on the rampart chestpiece because it isnt prominent on charr, but man that looks cool. Nicely done!
Stress test tomorrow

Feathers of the Zephyr look fucking baller at night

And they also fit perfectly with the guardian's ghostly blue aesthetic when dyed right.

Any of you kind folk want to donate Spiritwood Planks to the Get Lobo His First Legendary Fund? I just need 35 of them. (cries internally)

Unfortunately yes. I got mine from a story reward Black Lion key.

Bitterfrost frontier is your best friend. Farm the berries (and the unbound magic items in other maps too- Bitterfrost is just the fastest) then buy the green-labeled magic packet from the UM vendors. They have a relatively high chance of giving you random tradeable ascended mats (ie: deldrimor ingots, spiritwood planks, elonian leather, etc.). The berries, as well as the other farmable UM item nodes, respawn at reset and can be farmed multiple times across different characters in a single day.

I've been really lucky with these exclusive BLC rewards in the past but this glider is the only one that I actually want and I can't seem to get it :v:

Best you know now that you've got a lot of other items to gather too
For various recipes and items you'll need ~200g to pay for those alone
Things like the 100 icy runestones (1g each / 100g total)
Gift of .... recipes (10g each / approx 10 needed / 100g total)
200 spirit shards minimum (acquired on level up at 80, doing dailies and sometimes chests)
400-500 crafting (sometimes in multiple professions)
250 ectoplasm minimum
250 obsidian shards minimum
I'm not intending to put you off here, more a case of understand what you're getting into and not to rush the current step of making the legendary and end up without the money or resources for the next step as a result.
Give yourself an individual goal and if you get tired of doing that then do another step instead.
Progress is and will be slow but you'll get there eventually.
With the core Tyria legendaries, it's actually less expensive to just buy the precursor than craft it. Of course, you can't buy the HoT precursors.
I never got around to making Ilya and Lyss. I have most of the components for both except Ectos :v:
And I know they share a model and stats, but I want both because lore

Looking it up, you're fucking right. Might as well just get to really saving. 800 gold isn't that much more than 300.....I'ma be over there...weeping for my wallet.

The problem I'm having is that I don't want the precursor or legendary, but the perfected weapon skin that you craft in the step before making the precursor, so for me it's like "MIGHT AS WELL GO ALL THE WAY"

after using it on my alt for awhile it actually feels super lackluster
It's not even a chatroom whenever I play, barely anyone is ever online and playing unfortunately.
following this up since I missed it, I think it's probably better to refer to it as a secondary friends list and LFG, which was way more important before we had guild chat with all guilds instead of just the active one, and before LFG.
Plus with the game's launch, we'll definitely see a lot of people online again, so it remains useful to some means.
I think I'm mostly sad about the lack of interest in the guild hall, hopefully the new xpac adds more function and reason to hang there more often
Last played this in 2014?
Lion's arch looks uh. Different...

How about choose an active guild to de-facto make into a FP guild :v:

You unlock those skins anyways.
I straight up bought the shield legendary from the tp and got all of its precursors down to the blown up shield.

LA has been destroyed like three times now, and when it was rebuilt like this, people considered it still destroyed lmao. Someone went overboard with concepts and it really doesn't feel cozy anymore. Racial cities definitely get more use nowadays as a result. Rata sum is especially useful if you're crafting or running to and from bank and TP
also I'm not sure a random active guild would appreciate a large group of randos showing up to say "this is us now" lmao. However you'll probably find a place in a few guilds with FPers you like anyways, so that's a good deal
I know it'll probably never happen, but I kind of wish Maclaine Diemer would write/compose an ending song for one of the expansion stories, like Fear Not This Night. That song still gives me shivers to this day!

That song is the only reason I play through the main campaign anymore. I just sit there and let it loop like 3-4 times before finally leaving the instance.
How can you find out which order you went with on a character?

Check in your story journal

Ebonhawke crafting street master race
I've been thinking of trying out PvP. I've been playing this game for 5 years and not once have touched the PvP features. All I know of PvP is that every stat is equalized so equipped armor and weapons don't affect your stats, and that your build is independent from your PvE one.
What should I look into/do to not get absolutely shitcanned by the enemy nor overly shittalked by my own teammates?

All the stats are on the PvP amulets which you can choose from the PvP build panel. And there's nothing you can do to avoid getting shittalked by your teammates. You could be the best PvPer in the game and still get called every name imaginable. For some reason, this game is awfully toxic in PvP. I've been thinking about turning off my chat when I PvP. It's that bad.

Oh yeah I know that anything related to PvP in any genre will bring out the worst in people, believe me. I was thinking of preemptively turning off chat as well when I hop into it but just wanted to see if there'd be any semblance of hope in seeing less-than-terrible people in PvP.
Xpack release in 19 days, fuck man still haven't purchased it. Excited as fuck though
