I have 4000 gems but I'm not sure what to spend them on
Suggestions?
Wait for the datamined "Peacock Raptor", might be cool. Or an eyesore, we'll see.
Also, this is coming to the gemstore and it's the best mini ever:

I'm still holding my gems out for that Witch's Broom Glider.
That'll make the Witch Mercy cosplay a lot easier (just a shame that the Witch's hat hides hair).
the only good thing about the internal cooldown of the candy corn gobbler is that it lets me get some food or water while autoclicking and i usually come back with a decent enough stack of each kind of bonus i wanted

Doing HoT for hero points makes me want TO KILL MYSELF :suicide:
Doing HoT for hero points makes me want TO KILL MYSELF :suicide:
Get on an HP train. Check party finder, most likely starting in VB or AB, and they'll run for like 2-3 hours going over every hero point and some mastery points. They'll ask for tips, some want materials (like ecto) or some just want straight up gold (one dumbfuck wanted 20 gold per person before doing the run), but the majority of them do it just to help the community. It's how I've gotten most of my characters hero points for the first elite spec. PoF's HP's are much more easily solo capable.

I crafted my little friend, now I can't decide if to weaponize it.
Oh fuck, I found my first precursor in the labyrinth! Of course the merge did't work, RIP.

Why does Tangled Depths even exist

Ill-thought out design decisions.
My Necro might have been nerfed to shit again thanks to Anet brand balancing, but at least he has a new friend now.

You know what Choya remind me of. This bastard, Brückner's son from the film Phenomena, if he fucked a cactus.

tangled depths is a great map and very well-designed, there's just nothing to do when all outposts are complete and meta is over
edit: I was being serious you geographically-challenged casuals
Is anyone running GW2 on Linux? How is the performance?
Is anyone running GW2 on Linux? How is the performance?
I used to and it's not the best. Wine is just kinda shit for this sort of thing.
What people can do is use a virtual machine and passthrough the GPU which is what people are doing with other games. Takes the right hardware I think and some fucking around but it's possible.
And you have to be blessed by Intel to do so. Like my 4770k can't, but the 4770 can, as can the refreshed 4790k.
got my Cursed Flintlock!
Really loving Deadeye after initially hating it. It's nice to not get blown up in seconds with my staff for once! 100%'d all PoF maps, haven't touched HoT or the living season 3 yet so I'm hyped to get started tomorrow!

did you incorporate lifesteal, dodging, crowd control incl. blinds into your Daredevil build...?
did you incorporate lifesteal, dodging, crowd control incl. blinds into your Daredevil build...?
To be honest, I was just running a pure power based DD. It wasnt as bad as Im making out but its so nice to be able to play Thief in a completely different way. Deadeye is more relaxing.. I can run that spec when I want to run dungeons and fractals without keeping on top of everything. Just sit there and shoot stuff.
Want to try elementalist (i have an 80) but not sure what elite spec to start learning first. Any recommendations?

I smashed damage and life steal in to my Daredevil build and just tear things up like a lunatic. When you get a critical roughly every three hits and can garuntee one at a moments notice, then steal a shitload of health every time you crit, you're hard to take down unless something can nuke you.
My Daredevil crit rate is 65% minimum and my deaths per hour actually went down after HoT released :excited:

tempest is way easier than weaver but chances are that even with the power of water and earth you will die more than Thief if you play power and don't know what do
life siphon is op
What's these builds people talk about. Myself picked a sylvari ranger, but it turned out there's plenty of rangers already.
I'm focusing power, precision and condition damage if that's correct.
power and condition damage? hrmm, not terrible, but might as well go celestial

For pve? Go for Viper's, condi ranger is a good dps, condi Soulbeast is a raid meta. I don't think Celestial is good at anything anymore.

People usually refer to the qT (quantiy) guild builds or MetaBattle builds. For equpiment, these builds tend to be the most optimal specs you can run. However these are tuned for Raids specifically, so you may be better off tinkering with your own traits and skills to better suit whatever you're doing.
For more context, there's essentially 4 pve build archetypes: condiDPS, powerDPS, tank/support (most often chronomancers), and heal/support (most often druids). For the support specs, theres quite a few different combinations of specific stats for specific builds, but with the dps specs, it ultimately boils down to two types: Vipers for condition damage and Berserkers for power/crit builds.
But yeah, power prec and condi damage are your go-tos until you can afford to make Vipers
Did a fractal with 2 people, died and had to run in a circle around boss for 50 minutes until they grappled me and killed me. Feels great.
One thing we beginners learned though, bring more people
