regarding the ending of HoT, the ending is kind of a confusing combination of that final player story instance, and the dragon's stand map meta, which deeeefinitely requires gliding with updraft at bare minimum to reach the final boss, preferably adv gliding for some speed, ley line gliding to really be able to travel.
the tl;dr is: [sp]while 'the commander' (personal-story-you) is in mordremoth's dreamscape fighting him, taking his full focus and knocking him down a peg, the pact (upwards of 100 players) coordinates an attack on the 'mouth of mordremoth', which is basically the physical manifestation of the dragon at his root, in the hopes of really sealing the deal and severing his connection to the forest and the sylvari[/sp]

Wasn't it one of the only songs Jeremy Soule was able to make for GW2 before someone signed an exclusivity deal with him. It's why there's so many songs reused from the first game.

Is there a facepunch group that raids regularly? I'm tired of having shitstain elitest dickwads telling me I don't have the right gear (because the gear they want you to have is fucking gear you get through playing raids...). Or that I don't have 15,000 signets of insignificance because, surprise surprise, I can't get into raid groups to earn them.

not FP-centric, but I know there's a handful of FPers who are in, or actually run, raiding groups. A lot of the groups I've tagged along with have fizzled hard due to the tryhards in the groups anyways
realistically I'd say your best bet is to find a guild that advertises raid training. You might get paired up in nub groups for a bit but you'll get your practice in and earn some LI tokens and occasional asc gear in the process, ending up with a decent group who trusts you to know what you're doing more than to have raw meta gear

they were talking about adding time to a handful of them, since some like the fallen masks are so RNG based that the chances of being able to accomplish a gold run is dependant not only on perfect timing but a 1/20 chance of the masks appearing in an order that would actually allow a perfect run to happen in the prior timeframe.
community was a bit vocal that an increase in time for that one doesn't fix the root of its problem, but it's a start

I'm holding out on a sale and I'm going to buy HoT and PoF and get back into this. I was having a serious Nostalgia trip remembering GW1 and then moving into GW2 and not liking it as much, but seeing the new stuff and new ways to build characters that require the expansions has me interested
Also had a weird bug that would BSoD my PC with Guild Wars 2. Never did figure out exactly what it was, but I know it was the video card (Not the drivers). Only game that would BSoD, never had an issue with anything else. I've since swapped out every component in my PC since I last played though

The gaps between each PvP season are getting shorter and shorter, so it probably won't be too long. Otherwise, pretty sure nothing has been announced.
Ok, silly/stupid question. Is LFG based just on your current server (like I'm based out of Isle of Janthir server) or is every server? Because I will fucking transfer servers if I can find a server where LFG raids are actual groups looking for raids and not groups looking for 6000 marks of Legitimate Idiocy or wanting me to fork over 50 actual dollars to do a single raid run.
The only aspect of the game affected by your server choice is WvW.
PvE, PvP, and everything in between is tied into the megaserver.
Huh, then that really doesn't answer why there's only ever like 5-6 groups advertising raid runs (that you need to whip out your credit card for) at all times of the day. Heaven forbid if you play something other than Chrono, Bannerslave Warrior, or Weaver. And before anyone suggests it, yes, I have tried to join guild that say they do raids, problem is, they also require you to have over like 300 LI just to do a fucking training run.

Many raid groups aren't interested in ushering players new to raids, unfortunately. They expect to rush through raids as fast as possible with no hiccups.
Is there any place to find people to play with? I'm trying to get my friends to play this but they're not really into the game and playing alone sucks after a while :(

Guilds are your best bet. I'd have easily recommended you the one I'm in (PCG), but it's kinda dead recently, aside from weekly guild missions on Thursdays. Even then, less and less people show up LFG sometimes has levelling/completion parties as well, you might find some like minded folk.

Same here. I tend to be in the mood for GW2 waaaay late at night, so EU is almost always a ghost zone by then.
you got a really awesome background Jetamo! im sure you'll find people to play with, isn't megaservers supposed to bring everyone together for pve related content? you should be able to find people somewhere doing something, probably not the same content as what your doing but they are out there. maybe check out if your server has its own dedicated forums/discord?
