When does it unlock in Pacific time? For some reason the time until it unlocks isn't visible on the store page for me.
I'm think it should still be another hour here, I worked it out to be about 2-2.30 local time, and it's currently just about 1
... pre-order the game?
I did that, thanks. But I don't see the stuff in game.
Not sure if I want to take those numbers serious though, I don't follow Game Informer or Polygon so I have no idea if their reviews are actually good/accurate or not, IGN can be dick heads when it comes to reviews since money can be thrown at them so easily to shit out a good review, and Gamespot are decent but I don't take their reviews that seriously.
I know it's a bit late to say but Polygon is completely insane and the rest are ok...ish. But reading/watching the reviews is a better idea since numerical review scores mean literally nothing.
so are the reviewers just being giant phaggots or is the game actually not that good
so are the reviewers just being giant phaggots or is the game actually not that good
Polygon hit the game hard because of feminism bullshit. Most reviewers are saying good things about it.
ah feminism so the reviewers are just giant tools, good to know
Polygon hit the game hard because of feminism bullshit. Most reviewers are saying good things about it.
It's completely unfair that they're comparing it to Fury Road which was only released a few months ago, and this game has been in development long before the public (and potentially Avalanche) knew any details about Fury Road. The story/feel of the game was set in long before Fury Road's release.
Mine is unencrypting right now.
Mine is unencrypting right now.
welcome to the club....
It's just kind of sitting there, not really doing anything though. Okay it's actually doing stuff now, fingers crossed.
FINALLY I CAN PL- oh....it's decrypting.....4 hours and 40 minutes you know what? fuck you. I'm going to bed.
http://i.imgur.com/pfB6bXR.jpg Uhhhh
Might want to spoiler tag that for people like me who didn't know that was in there.
The first half is great imo, the second half falls flat. Just stop watching after Max gets dragged into the desert.
In this video, Guy Norris (who played Bearclaw Mohawk in Mad Max 2) talks about "going back to the roots of Mad Max 1 and Mad Max 2"... and not Thunderdork. At the 5 minute mark. Just unlocked for me. Mad Max here I come...
Polygon hit the game hard because of feminism bullshit.
To be fair, no they didn't. There was one side paragraph relating to Hope being a weak damsel in distress stereotype, that was it. The rest of the review is entirely gameplay. http://www.polygon.com/2015/8/31/9190443/mad-max-review-ps4-playstion-4-xbox-one-pc-windows
After the progressive characterization of this summer's excellent Mad Max: Fury Road, the game's treatment of its few women is especially disappointing. The closest thing Mad Max has to a female lead, a woman not coincidentally named Hope, is a concubine for the villain and a love interest for Max. Her sole purpose in the plot is to make the bad guys more evil and provide motivation for the hero to fight. She's a damsel in distress stereotype, and it's more disheartening after having seen such a great example of the opposite in theaters just a few months ago.
This game is fucking awesome.
Seriously this is one of my favorite games this year already. The combat system is so well-done. Plus the Capture Mode allows you to get some badass screenshots. [t]http://i.imgur.com/Qulb3QO.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/rAsP06q.jpg[/t]
The canteen reminds me of Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb. Also wow this game is really optimized
Yeah, I get a solid 60 FPS with no dips and everything maxed out. Running an i7 @ 4770k and a GTX 780i.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/Qulb3QO.jpg[/t]
Is that a fucking lead pipe musket?
Is that a fucking lead pipe musket?
Yes, very first weapon you get 5 minutes into the game.
Got to play for about an hour and it is pretty good. Very Just Causey with the destruction and the massive amount of (albeit repetitive) side stuff too do, but that is okay in my mind because I loved JC2 for being a game where you could jump in, cause havoc, and jump out in short intervals and such.
So, did anyone not take the Wild Hunt option?
I was afraid I wasn't gonna like it. First session: 6 hours. I guess it's ok.
So, did anyone not take the Wild Hunt option?
There's [sp]an unlock in the garage that lets you change the bodies (I think, I haven't unlocked any of them yet).[/sp]
Anyone know of some software to make a game see a third party controller as an Xbox controller? I got a controller a few days ago for this and I really don't want to replace each key one by one.
So, did anyone not take the Wild Hunt option?
i picked shovelface because i love the front design, but all of the cars look really good. the downside about the first three is that for the most part they're all about the same. i'll probably migrate over to wild hunt though as soon as i can since shovelface kind of lost its novelty almost immediately

So now that it's been out for a bit: Buy or Don't buy? :worried:
