One of the audio options is "Fury". The fuck is that?
Two hours of gameplay done today and I'm really enjoying this. I wouldn't say at this stage its something I'm going to be playing for hours on end but I certainly feel like I'm going to get my money's worth out of it. Feels like an excellent filler for me until Fallout 4 drops in November.
I shouldnt be spending this money and my laptop will probably be unable to handle the game anyway but fuck it no regrets.
How is that attached
I'm pretty sure it's object based motion blur though which actually looks quite good, unlike full screen.
I don't like the main concept of a motion blur in third person videogames
One of the audio options is "Fury". The fuck is that?
When you get a high enough combo, Max enters Fury mode, in which his strikes do much more damage. I would get it changes the sound ducking that occurs. Also some of the video options go Low>Medium>High>Very High>Ultra High>Max :v: [editline]1st September 2015[/editline]
I shouldnt be spending this money and my laptop will probably be unable to handle the game anyway but fuck it no regrets.
If you could run JC2 it should be fine, my laptop runs it better.
Aah 60 mins into this game and I might return it. My biggest problem is the vehicle steering. There is essentially 2 notches of steering deadzone when using an XB360 Controller, and 1 notch of steering when using a keyboard to steer. It is not smooth at all and precisely steering the vehicle is a pain in the arse. For a game touting its vehicle gameplay, this is just ridiculous. Even battlefield bad company 2 has better steering.
You're driving a scrap heap across a wasteland and you want precision. please think about this
Uhmm its pretty damn standard, especially in games where driving is the main focus. GTA5 for example steer much better and you can control how much steer you put in. This game the deadzones of steering is so huge that you can 1. either steer left small, or steer left fully, there is no in-between. Hell its like and on-off switch. Might as well use a keyboard to steer and not a Gamepad.
Have you ever pulled a car out of a junkyard and tried to drive it? I have, steering gets pretty slack. Now imagine the steering is probably not even proper rack and pinion but some wasteland fashioned shit stuffed into a frame that's been wrecked and blown up multiple times. You'll notice the AI doesn't steer very precisely either.
Am I the only one who picked the Die Rolla body? Big pimpin' Rolls Royce type body hooked up to a growling V8 is awesome :v: Though I do wish I had my Ripper body!

So after playing it I have to say those reviews were trash. This game is great. I mean, how many fucking games come with an in-game photo mode and video capture? They bitched about so much stupid shit, like how Max can pick up scrap without needed his car, even though they were done out of convenience. Doubly funny how they moaned about scrap hunting even though giving Max a carry limit for scrap would have made it even more tedious. Then they complained about an upgrade giving him more water. Seriously, how far can the nitpicks go before you start to sound like a ponce? I am thoroughly convinced that either A.) Both reviewers will still butthurt over the bad ports of other WB games earlier this year or B.) Konami paid them to give it bad reviews to discredit their only competition, which knowing how sinister Konami is that could be the case. Either way, both reviewers were clearly attempting to find things wrong with the game and at the end were grasping at straws because there really isn't anything wrong.
There's a bit of a difference between driving a modern supercar and a car that is literally made out of random scrap metal and roadside garbage
So now you are arguing on the basis on realism. Seriously? Have you played the game and looked how it steers? It steers pretty damn smoothly left and right and you can see Max steer, but what I am complaining about is the "deadzones" in steering. As I said you can either steer Full Left or right or steer minor left or right, there is no in-between. It is a controls issue not a game play mechanic issue get that right.
You have to upgrade it to get better handling. But It is a controls issue not a game mechanic issue.

Only issues I've run into so far that can be blamed solely on the game are Max's impressive and spontaneous gymnastics displays and that I'm not entirely fond of the straferam mechanic. Otherwise it's all been tiny niggles, like if you park with the wheels turned, they center before you get out. I also didn't realize Max can jump, so I got stuck a time or two before I figured it out.
Steering gets better as you upgrade your car.
No its a controls issue which I have said in the few post above. Has nothing to do with how your car handles.
Maybe I can explain in terms you can squeeze through your sponge: steering gets more precise as you upgrade your vehicle as part of the handling stat.
I might have explained wrong early on, I'm not talking about precision. I am talking about steering deadzones which has nothing to do with handling and its a controls issue. The biggest indicator is looking at how max turns the wheel, you can see him turning smoothly, but you cannot control how much Max turns the wheel because its like an on-off switch like using a keyboard when using a Gamepad. Really don't see how hard it is to understand.

Ok, I am 86 minutes in the game As far as presentation goes, this Mad Max game does a great job. The environment is spot on, as well as the general hopeless and rugged feel of the setting. Regarding the characters, I've met only Chumbucket, your trusty mechanic and worshipper (which is a very competent sidekick) and Gaffa, the man responsable for your character upgrade. However, I'm too early in the game to say anything about the story. I can safely say however that the Fury Road feel is there, down to everything It's also worth mentioning that this game is optimized a great deal for the pc: there are a ton of graphic options to tune as you please and, as I said early, Regarding gameplay, I am mostly satisfied: the resource management you are tasked with (like scraps to improve your everything and water that must be consumed to regain health) is an interesting idea, as well as the way you can repair your car by standing still While the combat is clearly inspired by the Arkham series, it feels much more stiff (unlike Batman, Max can't flow from an enemy to another to keep up his combo score and you can counter an enemy hit by hitting the guard button and THEN the hit button). I can't say much about that (and the cars combat for that matter) because I'm fairly early in the game The only issue I have with the gameplay this far is the fact, much like in Shadow of Mordor before it, the game locks nearly ALL upgrades for your car behind mission stories. This is something that really upset me in SoM and certainly won't make me jump out of joy in Mad Max too
This game is probably my favorite game of this year so far [sp]okay maybe Bloodborne takes that spot but this game is close[/sp] Also the customization is amazing, I love my weird ass car [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/692780739201827159/D1460DCECDD88BD6ED55A40469065C37B7BD1BA2/[/t]
How do I do the sideways ram thing? My game went retard and I never saw what it said about ramming :c
Middle mouse + a or d
I think I get what he's saying with the deadzone thing, like, the steering is incredibly slow if you try to steer hard. and while I get the whole "junkcar" thing, this isn't how it would work at all if you pulled a car out of a junkyard or built it out of junk. however I don't think it's ruining the game even though it is a bit annoying at times. [sp]also found THE war rig, in a tunnel somewhere. the prisoners in gutlashes camp lead you to it.[/sp]
